Will I have to make an online appointment to go to the K desk? Since that's what they are making people do who are just getting the current extension.
-
I originally entered on a 30 day tourist visa exempt stamp.
I have not reported anything to the police. Is that necessary?

I'm a USA citizen who lost a passport a few weeks ago.
I now have a new American passport, how do I transfer the old stamps when I don't have the old passport?
Should I do this at Chaengwattana or Muang Thong Thani?
I have photos of my original entry date (feb 9), and my Covid April extension stamps, so I will print those out.
Has anyone does this without an old passport?

Here's my question:
Lets say they actually give "automatic visa extensions"
I want to know what the word "automatic" will mean, and how it will be defined by them?
What will be "automatic" about these extensions?
Does "automatic" mean no embassy letter required, but that you still have to go to the immigration bureau?
I think a lot of people are assuming "automatic" will equal:
"I don't have to visit an immigration bureau and I won't be charged a fine if I just stay at home"
Unless that's explicitly stated my assumption will remain that everyone must go in to do 30 day visa extensions.

Did you do your extension in Bangkok?
-
This was in Bangkok Immigration at the new makeshift facility at the central investigation bureau.

My stamp says sub-div.2 imm.div.1
Application of stay is under consideration. Applicant must contact again in person on 05 May 2020. Immigration officer 07 apr 2020.

I have been in thailand two months. Flew in from indonesia, extended once back in early march. So this is technically my second extension, but my first "covid" extension if you will, otherwise I would have had to do a border run (during normal times of course.)
I wonder if nationality has anything to do with it. Perhaps not.
-
It also said under consideration on mine, but even before I got my passport back I asked the immigration lady who was processing it, she said come back May 5th. Then lo and behold the stamp says under consideration, come back May 5th.
But here's the question, why are there variances in the date you have to come back to immigration?
-
Yeah I was there today and got from today (april 7th) and have to come back in May 5th. So basically a month.
I'm American.
What nationality are you?

I also did the extension today. Had the embassy letter all the paperwork.
Just for everyone's information the new immigration center is technically at the back of the central investigation bureau. You have to take exit 2-12 off the toll road, then the proper right turn (not proposal road but the next right).
I arrived at 6:05 am. Roughly 80 people were in front of me. At 6:10am I was moved to seating on the second story of the parking garage.
By around 8:15-830am they gave me a yellow sticker and the form you fill out there (bring a pen).
They also have food to the left, and they can do photos for 100 baht (4 photos it said) and 5 baht for a photo copy.
It wasn't until about 9am that they actually started bringing people down into the actual bureau in the next building.
I got my ticket, number 70ish at 9:20am, then after about 5-10 minutes was brought down in single file manner to the bureau where 12 different stations were processing people's passports.
They aren't using hand santizers at the desks, and everyone is using the same pens, multiple officers touch everyone's documents multiple times. So yeah, great way to make sure everyone's hand germs are spread around. Bring your own hand sanitizer FYI.
At about 10:10am I got my passport back. So, today (being the 7th), the stamp read come back May 5th. I asked the woman who processed my passport she said come back in may 5th.
I also asked her if there would potentially be amnesty in the future. She said she didn't know.
I also asked her about people that arrived after March 1st, she said they still have to come in to extend.
Anyway, arrived at 6:05am, got passport at 10:10am.

Are you going to bring proof of residency? Are you staying in a hotel? I currently am at a hotel, and I'm an american going to extend a visa exemption next week as well. I'm still a little confused as to the exact requirements.

Hey all,
Just a few questions regarding the required documentation I need to succeed in getting the Visa Extension in this Covid Situation.
My situation:
-I'm an American who flew into Bangkok on February 9th (having been in Indonesia several months) with a standard Visa exemption.
-I then extended at Bangkok Immigration on March 3rd. My extension of stay expires on April 8th.
-I've emailed the American embassy with necessary information and await the required extension letter to be returned via email.
-I have my Passport, 1900 baht, my tm6 departure card.
-I plan on visiting the newly set up immigration office near Impact on either the 7th or the 8th of April.
-I am currently staying at a hotel, paying per week.
Questions:
-What else will I be required to bring to the immigration office? I have read the American embassy website faq, and I've read the Thai Immigration site, but am confused.
-Do I need to show proof of residency under my current circumstances extending a visa exemption? (I would have done a visa run under regular circumstances, but I digress)
-Will I need to show bank statements, maps of my location, etc etc?
-Is there a link to the exact requirements somewhere?
Thankyou for any and all information that can help me in this situation.
