  1. I call your BS, Cambodia is from the three countries you mentioned still the cheapest, maybe the beer in Vietnam is cheaper when you go to a local Bia Hoi corner. Accommodations, food and drinks are in Cambodia the lowest of SE Asia except Laos I think. Tell me where can you find $1 GT's or beer in LOS/Vietnam (brand name no Bia Hoi)? I prefer my drinks in a bar or restaurant not in front of the 7-11. I also sleep in hotels not hostels. About ripping off tourists Thailand is absolute King followed by Vietnam, Cambodia is a quick learner. Here is a Wise lesson: I transfer at lowest possible fee (1.5%) with the highest rate, my Euro's into Baht to my Kasikorn account. My K-card is not charged any fee at the ATM when collecting cash. With my Wise wallet in my phone I can pay at any store in SE Asia. Filling my debit card wallet via Wise in any local currency (Baht/Dong) is even a cheaper fee (0.67%) with the highest rate compared to all the system banks. Oh and BTW you can have a Happy Pizza just for $4 in PP, please try makes you more relaxed.
  2. Then I don't understand your joke. Cambodia is a beautiful country with lots to do. Siem Reap nightlife, Ankor Wat and surroundings PP nightlife in street 51 with two famous nightclubs and the RLD in street 136 up, also very good restaurants trough out the city. Kep/Kampot for deliciousness Black Pepper Crab and of course their famous pepper plantations. The former French/Indochina Riviera with very good resorts. Sihanoukville and the Islands. What's not to like? The country is going with the flow of quality tourists, Backpackers on a budget can better go to Laos.
  3. I was also thinking this was a joke post. Been many times to Cambodia and will go next January. I have never exchanged Dollars for Riel. All my payments I do is in cash Dollars even in the small villages. The problem in Cambodia is that they don't have small change from, for instance big Dollar bills $10 and up. $1, $2 and $5 sometimes $10 will do the trick. The big notes $20, $50 and $100 I use for my hotel payments and have never had a problem with accepting. I get my Dollars cheap because the American tourists whom visiting my country are accepting my exchange rate for my Euro's. It's a win win situation.
  4. Okay People, lets get to the point. I scrolled down 4 pages and only found two post containing a small review of the beers and how they taste. Can anybody who tasted the Carabao beers be more specific of how they are? and are they any good?
  5. Here is the picture of my one day overstay
  6. Last April and March of this year. I was staying for 30 days on my visa exemption, the exact amount of days allowed on this visa type. I was not aware that the visa the IO gave me was just 29 days. He stamped the visa from 11th of April till 10th of March. When I was at the Immigration on the 11th of March I was guided to the kiosk behind Immigration where they told me I had an overstay of one day. I pointed out that April only have 30 days and not 31, so they probably made a mistake. The IO understood what I explained but she also told me that this info was from their system so that was leading. She also told me that it was not a problem because I was leaving whitin 24 hours after the visa was due. I got my passport back and she wished me a save flight. I did not had to pay a fine nor I got a overstay stamp in my passport.
