At the suggestion of Sheryl, I have gone to Dr. Parit Mekaroonkamol. Although I saw him over at Bangkok Hospital in Bangkok, so you do have a choice of which private hospital to see him. Excellent Doctor. That profile photo of him on the Bumrungrad Hospital website must have been taken at the beginning of his career. He has matured since then; Dr. Parit at Bangkok Hospital

I have been curious about something similar to this. I send funds each month from the U.S. to my wife’s sister in Thailand. Will this be considered taxable income for me since I live in Thailand full-time? If not, then seems like I could just increase the amount I send to sister each month to use for my own living expenses. (For me it wouldn’t work sending to my wife since she has dual Thai/U.S. citizenship and now is subject to paying taxes on our U.S. income brought into Thailand).

If I just needed a cleaning/checkup I’d go to whatever dentist is nearest to where I live (Phayu), but I’m in need of a root canal and want to be sure I go to a dentist that is experienced in doing this procedure and won’t just try and sell me an implant. I love those mattresses. I frequently sleep on one of those 1" thick pads on the floor at home.

How do you change the settings to get the fully inclusive price?

I recently had a Colonoscopy done at BKK Hospital, but I got their combination “Package” deal of the Colonoscopy and Gastroscopy. I did have two polyps removed, so that was an additional cost. The package deal for both procedures was listed at 43,400. My final bill ended up being 56,115. I know you asked only about the Colonoscopy, but this will give you an idea of the spread between ‘listed’ price vs final price at BKK Hospital. The service at the hospital was excellent, as was Dr. Parit Mekaroonkamol

Update. I just received this email from CM Mediclinic: ” Dear James, Greetings from CM Mediclinic. We would like to inform you that Shingrix vaccination will be available on next Wednesday, and the price is 6300 THB per dose (course of 2).
