2022 is the year of booster shots ????????

Please correct me if I am wrong but in my medically uneducated way of thinking a booster shot follows after a previous shot therefore there will not be many booster shots administered here in Issan aka the bottom of the barrel.

You are wrong. All the people I spoke in several provinces in issaan already had their 2 vaccines months ago.

My GF lives in a small village in Si Sa Ket, and all villagers have had their booster shot already. This campaign started a month ago. Not only in the big city Si Sa Ket but also in the smaller ones like Kantharalak and small villages throughout the province. The same is for Surin province.

When I was in Bangkok last month lot of people I spoke where already boostered especcialy people in healthcare and retail. In all the shops in the big malls and local shops in cities and villages in the issaan you see signs on the shop windows that personel is fully vaccinated.

Are you sure you want to do this?

    better take a fishtrawler

  3. I have a AIS one 2 call prepaid package for over a month now. The 5G cellular is a little bit faster in city areas eq. Bangkok, Huahin etc. My experience in rural areas Si Sa Ket province make no difference to 4G. 5G Wifi in home is definitely faster than 2.4G. But keep in mind that a constant 5G connection drains your battery much faster. And if you only using your phone for messaging and send pictures and movies a normal connection will do. My AIS have a good connection in especially the rural areas what is important for me.

  4. A few days ago I bought fresh leaves (with the red vines) on the market in Hua Hin. First chewed a few without any effects I think (alcohol was involved). Later I made some tea from approximately 30 crushed leaves in a pot and added sugar. I must say after the tea I felt a kind of rush you get from your first sigaret in the morning and also felt more alert (I won several times with a card game Skip Bo). But the effect did not take long (also alcohol involved). So my verdict: it is something to try but not get crazy about it. I prefer the tea not the raw leave chewing.

The big difference here being that Cambodia is run by elected politicians, where Thailand is run by unelected clowns.

I hope your kidding. Hun Seng was already PM while Pol Pot was still around. He let every competition banned from elections. That’s why he still is the PM

Water, Barley & Hops. That's all that is required for beer. Up to my knowledge Chang Cold Brew is the only large quantity beer brewed in SEA that adheres (or comes close) to the German "Reinheitsgebot".

It's my favorite as for commercial beers.

Heineken and Amstel are also full Barley beers and brewed locally. BTW "Das Reinheitsgebot" isn't a law anymore. It's more like a Quality advice in Germany, that's why the american Budweiser can be sold there.

  8. I have read most of the comments and some are true and some are far fetched. But the one reason I did not saw is the financial one.

Kegs are exclusively sold by brewers and their wholesalers. What they deliver is mentioned on your receipt. The Taxman knows how many glasses come out of a keg or barrel. This is the easiest way of the Taxman to give you your Tax assesment.

When you want to create some sidemoney that is not found by the Taxman, the best way is to buy some boxes of bottles from other dealers then the official ones. By this way some can make about 1500 profit per box of 24 bottles.

Cheese hardly available and more expensive

You've gottta be kidding. Even in the sticks, you find very good cheese, for example a 350 grams Emmentaler for 229 baht at Big C, Parmesan and all kinds of these slices I never eat.

Then check at Makro. From very delicious Camembert, Brie etc..to Gouda from a wheel, Cheddar in 2 and 5 kg packets/

Our Big C makes very delicious dark bread that is very tasty. You can buy one kg of very delicious Haus Salami from TGM at Macro for 750 baht.

Then all sorts of noodles, even the ones to make Lasagna. No idea what you're talking about.

Then check bigger cities and see what they have.

Of course is cheese more expensive if they have to ship it 10,000 km. But not too expensive.

It wasn't like that 15 years ago/ There's no day without delicious cheese for us.

It is very funny to read about the cheese bit.

Yesterday I was eating Cheese Fondue with vegetables, fruit and bread.

I made some pictures of the fondue set and molten cheese.

The reaction she send was "What is that about the Farang and cheese?"

So I think the Thai know about our addiction to cheese
