  1. I'm looking for a school where I can study thai and get an ED visa for one year. Do you know of any school?
  2. Hi, thanks for the replies. It's the thai tourist visa in Penang, in Kuala Lumpur actually they ask for the same. They ask for this payment proof with the tax payer number like one of the 6 requirements to apply for the thai visa, and it's the only one I'm worried. I don't understand, how someone is going to pay for 60 days of some hotel if the visa may not be approved. I can understand to ask for a proof of where I'm going to stay, but a proof of payment with the tax payer number sounds weird for me. And if I sleep in the house of some friend what?
  3. It seems what I ask is so difficult. It's my second message about the same topic this week, this time I tried to explain easy and direct, and nobody knows about this or nobody want to answer. I know also that my english is not the best but I think is quite clear what I ask. If they don't ask for any tax payer number it would be so easy, because in another countries thai embassies they don't ask for that, only need to show some booking in Agoda and after can cancel. But with this tax payer number I have my worries, it's really important this number? Because I don't see in the bookings this tax payer number.
  4. (the receipt must state the tax payer number of the relevant hotel/accommodation) How can I get something like this? When I book in Agoda I don't see this payer number. Actually I don't want to pay, I want to cancel this booking. It's only for this stupid requirements for the thai tourist visa in Malaysia.
  5. H, I'm going to Penang the next week and I have some doubts about the requirements. "Proof of payment for accommodation for the whole period of stay in Thailand (the receipt must state tax payer number of the relevant hotel/accommodation)" I'm living in an apartment but I don't have any idea about the tax payer number. I know I can book some hotel with the cancellation option, but I don't have any idea if the receipt shows the tax payer number. Anyone knows about this? Or maybe I can ask my apartment if they can make for me some receipt with this tax payer number. It has no sense, what happen if someone is going to sleep in the house of some friend? "A copy of reservation/confirmation of transport tickets to and from Thailand" This will be my second visa run after my Student Visa of one year, the previous one was to Vientiane by flight. This time I will go by train, so... if I show a copy of reservation/confirmation of my train ticket when I comeback I think is ok, not need to be a flight, right? But the other one is the reservation/confirmation from Thailand, this requirement I think is so stupid, since we can extend 30 days more the visa, so always need to do some fake reserve, I don't know when I'm going to move from Thailand to another country. Can this reservation be by train or bus or need to be by flight? The previous visa run, they didn't ask for this proof, only the proof of entrance, but just in case I paid in a web onwardticket 16$ for a ticket that is valid at least for 48 hours, maybe I will need to do the same. What do you usually do? Thanks in advance.
  6. Hi, can I have internet at home without permanence? Which are the options. I always see those one year contracts.
  7. Hi, the last time when I extended my visa I was so surprised with the date of the stamp. My last extension ended on 12th of december, I went there two days before, and mi extension is now until the 1st of march. Can someone explain me why? First I thought maybe now is 90 days, but when I calculated is around 80 days, so I don't understand. Anyway is perfect for me, because I was thinking to travel to my country in the end of february.
  8. Since october 2020, anyone in Thailand with a tourist visa can apply for the covid extension. They didn't force anyone to go to their country, they wanted all of these farangs here expending money. I'm one of those farangs, still here with the covid extension.
  9. They don't do because are sympathetic & generous, they do because the money. Thousands and thousands farangs paying 1900 bahts every 60 days it's a great business for the government. And also this farangs are spending money in the country, renting house, going to the supermarket, to the bar, blablabla.... If they don't have this "tourist visa farangs" it will be even worse for Thailand. I'm one of this farangs, and I know I'm here taking advantage of this extensions because is good for Thailand (and good for me), it's a a win win for everyone (except for some embittered people).
  10. True. Anyway, regardless of visa, someone who is living almost 2 years in a country is not a tourist.
  11. Finally I got Pfizer vaccine at Phyathai 3 Hospital. It was lucky to be chosen with the tourist visa. I'm quite surprised with the quality of the hospital, and also getting a not chinese vaccine. After trying a lot of times in many different places without luck, I was thinking to pay for Sinopharm. If someone want to try, this is the link, but now they close the booking system because they have limited vaccines: https://phyathai3hospital.com/home/pt3thailandintervac/
  12. Hi, what do you think? Will be extended again? By the way, are they really going to open Bangkok in october? If they open I don't see any covid extension possible. But I don't understand how they can open Bangkok.
  13. I want to get the vaccine and until now I was not lucky to be chosen with the tourist visa, anyone knows where can I get a covid vaccine if I pay? I only see Moderna pre register option for 3400 bahts, but it's expected to arrive in the 2022. I would like to pay for AstraZeneca or Pfizer.
  14. It's quite funny that my spanish friend who buy a medical visa has te right to be vaccinnated and me no, because I still have the tourist visa, and I live here the same like him and the same like any of you, but the thai government say only for resident foreigners. I'm here already 20 months doing the same life than any of the people who is resident, yes I work (online), but I don't have a work permit, but I live here, and I can get the covid like any of you, I'm not a tourist who come here on holidays a couple of months. Of course that I will pay a one year visa when the covid extension end. But until that moment I live here like any resident farang, and about the thai government it's quite stupid to have thousand of tourist visas living here, and don't think that they have the same right to ve vaccinated. Actually we spend a lot of money in this country and we pay every 60 days 1900 bahts. So the government is interested in the money we spend here, but they don't think we can get the covid also, anyway they are idiots, so I'm not surprised.
  15. Ok, so if I don't have a resident visa it means that I don't live here, I didn't know that, thank you for the information. Now when someone ask me where I live, I will answer "nowhere" because I'm a tourist for 20 months already ???? When I buy a one-year visa then yes, close minded people will consider that I live here. It' curious but in Thailand all is about money, you are rich, you have the best visa, you are not rich, you can pay for any "legal" visa in the market. And yeah, another people get the visa 100% legally, but some people we can't access to that for one reason or another.
