  1. Have always been paying the monthly fee automatically thru my BBL-debit card. For the January-payment, I was asked by Netflix to 'add a payment method'. Nout sure why I now had to add a payment-method again while it was working fine for years. Anyway, after adding the payment-method again, I got the message 'There appears to be a problem with the payment method you are trying to use.'. Checked with both Netflix and Bangkok Bank. Netflix says that Bangkok Bank is blocking the payment. And Bangkok Bank is saying that there is nothing wrong or changed with the bank-account and debit-card. So there shouldn't be an issue from their side. And yes, I can use the debit-card everywhere else without issues. Netflix suggests to use a different payment-method, but am not eager to do so (True Wallet for example). Any one else with similar issues? Any suggestions to solve it?
  2. Can somebody please advise me which steps to take? In short: -) I am currently in Thailand on a Non-O, which is expiring on April 24th. Holding an EU-passport. -) I will start working for a Thai company soonest. -) When applying for the work-permit, the officer at Department of Employment didn't/couldn't issue a WP3-letter. Reason given was that my Non-O mentions 'visit Thai wife'. And, according to the officer that should have been more like 'support Thai wife' (?!) -) I have THB400k in the bank since February 27th - just a little shy of 2 months when my visa expires. The officer at the Department of Employment suggested to enter Thailand on a Non-B-visa. It's not as big issue for me to travel abroad and apply there for a Non-B. But when checking at the various Embassies/Consulates, the required documents for Non-B/employment include this WP3- (or WP32-) letter. It's becoming a chicken & egg-story. What would you do in such a situation? Leave Thailand on Apr23/24th and enter Thailand a few days later on a visa-exempt and start the WP-application-procedure with that? Leave Thailand on Apr23/24th, apply for a Non-B/to conduct business and enter Thailand on that one? Extend my Non-O in Bangkok and try to change the wording into 'support Thai wife'? Or....? Your ideas and suggestions are appreciated.
  3. Yes, came in here on a Non-O marriage/single entry (but did the re-entry last week already at Suvarnabhumi on a short trip abroad). Thought as well that a Non-O would be good enough reg. WP-application. Unfortunately, we were told differently by the officer.... Maybe try again with another officer?
  4. Am reading and hearing different stories reg. the steps to take to change from Non-O to Non-B. And couldn't find the info (yet) on the forum related to my case. So am hoping someone can help out and advise. Situation is that I came to Thailand on a Non-O visa (only 2 weeks ago). Found a job with a small Thai company in Bangkok; a little faster than anticipated but enthusiastic to start quickly. And now need to apply for a Work-permit. The admin-staff of my future employer doesn't have much experience with applying for Work-permits. When applying a few days ago - with all the paperwork, etc. in hand - the Labour Department mentioned that a Non-B visa is required to go ahead with the WP-application. Maybe (or probably?) my bad, as I could have prepared better. But am OK to face the consequences and do the necessary. Now the questions: To the best of your knowledge, what steps should I take to get a Non-B quickly? Can this conversion be done in Chaeng Wattana or is a trip abroad necessary? And in case I should fly out, should I go to the embassy in my home-country? Or can I go to an Embassy/Consulate in the region? Which Embassy/Consulate in the region is the easiest? Thanks....
