Yes i was in a large agogo on Walking Street last night. Had dozens of girls and the rent must be enormous. Just a few customers. How can they be making any profit?
It's a miracle.

Why you leave out the East?

While I knwo fear of tanrishing it's reputation would quash my idea, I sincerely wonder if it'd be useful for
Thailand to make a pamplet for incoming tourist to read telling about such things as this lad's mysterious death,
Emphasizing such things as travel insurance and such could help to prevent many of the sad cases we have read about on TVF with someone in a hospital needing a procedure but lacking the funds to have it.

I read a while back that the 400/800 Deposit for Mr Immigration can be kept in a Joint account which has one of the names ie my Wife's, not showing, so that it looks like a single account, but when I kick it, she can take it all out legally before Probate.
The banks seem fixated on having authorization from the court before they release any baht to an heir.

Misinformation.
No need to get a TIN or file unless your remitted accessable income is over the threshold.
For example if you're only remitting exempt US social security no need for tin or to file.
How much is the threshold?

I actually got bored after travelling all over Thailand several times by motorbikes, car and also in my earlier days by public transport. Have tried to settle with a small farm, and that would be perfect for me, if it was not for the extreme heat last year and pollution that finally broke my wibe.
Sounds like you could use a hobby to combat being bored.

Well, since you have brought the subject up, there is a stark difference in the condition of LA County (or even the tourist destinations of North Carolina, Virginia, Florida et al) beaches and those of Thailand. There is no trash on the US beaches. They have garbage cans regularly spaced and people have been taught not to litter. There are also restrooms on their beaches. My walk on the Hua Hin beach this afternoon was distinguished by dead fish, horse manure, plastic cups/containers/straws and plastic bottles. You don't see that in the US beach locations you were mentioning.
Yes, there is a hygiene problem with parts of LA. Most people don't visit skid row so don't have to deal with it. The city does hose the place down with disinfectant. Yes, the vagrants and mentally ill cause a mess in LA and elsewhere however, they are not destroying public beaches, not even in Venice, CA. India doesn't clean anything period. It is a nation where people throw their trash over a neighbor's wall and think nothing of it.
And please don't mention the quality of Thailand's beach water. When is the last time the government released a water quality reading? There is a reason why they won't do it. You need only look at Patong Bay to understand why.
Bolsa Chica is now a very nice State Beach/Park.
All that trash before was a sight to behold.
Why was Bolsa Chica called Tin Can Beach? In the 1950's, the beach below Bolsa Chica became known as Tin Can Beach due to the 300-ton piles of trash that had been improperly discarded of and left there. Campers and squatters lived in the area for months at a time in makeshift shacks and shanties constructed of cardboard, tarpaper, and scrap lumber. -

I am French and grew up with them. Then I lived in Phuket for a year and ended up moving because of them. They are worse in France because they know they can get away with anything. But they are definitely becoming confident in Thailand, it's time they were taught a lesson by the authorities IMO.
Things just are't like they used to be.

I'm talking four toilets in two cubicles.
And I'm talking commodes and urinals in a room called a toilet used by both males and females at the same time.

One agent I contacted who was grossly over priced gave me two written etimates, one was with a receipt and the other was without a receipt.
I ended up using no shipper and simply sent a few parcels and gave the rest of my possessions away.

Fantastic place but they the toilets were mixed sex which meant you had to wait if the women were in there and the queue of women was substantial
Pleny of mixed sex toilets in Pattaya and there is no waiting.

How about some public toilets so this doesn't have to happen,

With the massive wealth inequality here, plus the 'flexibility' of laws for those with money and influence, I'm sure somebody with no sense of style or moral backbone will be driving one around Chidlom soon.
Only vehicles manufactured and assembled in the UK should be allowed on UK roads.

A few years ago I bought an 800 year old castle and have done govt-approved repairs that make it a landmark. I have slowly furnished it with antiques that match the feeling of the structure. The estate also has its own church, which has similarly been brought up to standard, plus buildings where wine was made and aged for hundreds of years. I have cared for the grounds and left a hundred acres of old growth forest untouched and open to locals who wish to hike or view the abundant wildlife. I have no heirs, so someday the property will be returned to the country.
Spain ought to consider some outsider purchases as FDI.
