  1. Thanks Joe. Copies of the extension stamp in old passport only relate to latest extension due to expire mid-March. Correct?
  2. Grateful for some clarification re the following: Current extension visa stamp on passport due to expire mid-March New UK passport issued so must apply for retirement visa extension. 1. What docs do I need to take to Immigration for new extension apart from the usual ie Form, Bank letter and statement, copies of passport ID page, TM6 and current extension stamp? 2. Do I need to get a letter/doc from VFS re passport renewal? 3. How soon can I apply for the extension? Going to CW so will apply for online appt. Thanks!
  3. so That's around 9 weeks. Interestingly enough, a few days after I applied, money for the cost of the passport was taken out of my UK bank account. Wondering (and hoping) therefore if that means it will take less than the advised 11 weeks. Anyone else with the same experience?
  4. Thanks. VFS told me up to 11 weeks so hoping it will be shorter.
  5. Anyone had their UK passport renewed recently? How long did it take? Applying directly at the Trendy Building in BKK. Please share. Thanks
  6. I only managed to do online 90-day reporting once (ie 9 months ago). 6 months ago, I had to do it by post because the online system didn't work 3 months ago, I did it in person at MTT because I was running out of time after finding out the online system was down (again!). IO assured me then i will be able to report online from then on. hmmm, really?!! two weeks ago, tried online but again told to contact Immigration so ended up sending the application by post. Anyone has any idea about what's happening and how to ensure how I can go back to the convenience of online reporting?
  7. My potential employer has asked me to do a Covid test to submit to the Department of Education as part of my application for a Work Permit. Human Resources didn't say which test is needed and so can someone please say what type of test I need and where I may get it done for a reasonable fee in Bangkok. I want to avoid the fancy hospitals with their inflated charges? Thanks
  8. After searching extensively for an alternative to my current (very expensive) health insurance, I found this company based in the UK (WRLife) and giving much more reasonable quotes for someone like me; almost 61. A summary of what they offer: Serenity Module 1 up to 400,000 USD, IPD only : 140 USD per month Serenity Module 1 up to 400,000 USD, IPD + Module 2 OPD (outpatient): 244 USD per month Serenity Module 1 up to 400,000 USD, IPD + Module 2 OPD (outpatient) + Module 3 (dental optical) : 303 USD per month For the application : https://www.wrlife.net/medicalStep1.php I'd be really interested to know if anyone in this forum is using this company. If so, please share your experiences here or through a pm. Thanks
