Thanks for the replies everyone. Seem like I should just choose USD when setting up the transfer and just use the Thai bank for the one time transfer. Too bad the US dollar is strong at the moment. I just thought being able to transfer the exact total balance in THB minus the 250 baht that the Thai bank would charge could clean out my account perfectly but I guess, I'll just get as close as I can doing the USD conversion through my Thai bank.

Hello all. Apologies ahead if this is a silly question but I am a novice with the best practices with international transfers as far as not getting killed with fees and exchange rates, etc. So, long story short, I am closing my Krungsri account and transferring the balance to my account in the US. They are offering 250 baht for online app transfers until the end of the year, so that seems fair enough. My main question is, would "Wise" or any similar app be better to do this for saving on fees and conversion rates? Also, my US bank does not accept baht, which seems reasonable. In the app, you can choose Thai baht or USD to get transferred. If you choose THB, there are tons of extra fees, etc... Do they convert the THB to USD once it reaches my US bank? Or do I really only have to choose USD and accept their conversion rate they offer that day I transfer? I maybe overthinking this, but it all gets confusing for me. Thanks for any assistance.

Ok, so, I just went 10 pages back and someone stated if you leave the country which I did, and retuned on May 24th with a reentry permit, that the 90 days starts from there? Sorry, this is the second time doing it (first time didn't work), also first time trying while leaving on a reentry permit, so I'm all confused. Can anyone confirm that it should be 90 days from May 24th now? Thanks.

Ok, update. So I just got the email saying I was rejected. This is what they sent. Mine is expired on July 24th for reference. " Your application for "STAYING LONGER THAN 90 DAYS" has been rejected. This online application can be submitted 15 days in advance until the due date of notification." That part about the 15 days is bolded. How do I know what was wrong with this and why it got rejected?

Good morning, Second time trying to do this application as the first time did not work, so I am trying to make sure everything is correct. The area after the address part: " VISA ( businesses have capital no less than 30 million THB, Special laws and BOI ) : At Chamchuri Square Bangkok Use Login Information " I am on a marriage NON O VISA. Am I supposed to check these off?? Thanks.

Just did the online application and got a "succesful" email afterwards. I did not put in my Visa expire date as I was not sure that should be the "April 25" date and did not check the Visa box that stated "VISA ( businesses have capital no less than 30 million THB, Special laws and BOI ) : At Chamchuri Square Bangkok" As I didn't think that applied to me? What should I expect next?

Thanks. Yes, this is the part I am unsure of and would think it would be more stated firmly on these forums as I tried to search numerous times and different websites and could not get a clear answer. Joe stated from applying on Oct 28th originally but as you stated Nov 29th, and that is where I see the 90 day reminder under my stamp. It is clearly confusing.

Hello, Tried to reply to old topic but didn't get a reply on this. Applied on Oct 28 for my one year for Thai wife. Got my stamp on Nov 29th. That stamp on 29th stated the 90 day report, so now I am a bit confused as I was under impression I had to do 90 day from Oct 28, the day I applied for initial one year extension. Can someone clear this up for me? Thank you.

Hi @ubonjoe Just replying to this original posting as I am starting to prepare to go do my first 90 day in person. I looked back at this and assumed it would be October 28 was the day I applied for extension, so that would be right around now for me to go do my first 90 day. But, when I look at my actual stamp from the November 29 date when I went back to get my actual stamp extension, it states the 90 day reminder there. So now, I am a bit confused on when I should start the 90 day from my actual extension date. Appreciate your assistance as always.

@ubonjoe Sorry for tagging but seems like this thread has gone on it's own, so just wanted to quickly ask. My date to pick up is coming up next week. Should I make an online appointment for pick up? And where do I go when I arrive? Also, do I need an updated deposit for the bankbook to show funds for that day as well? Thanks Joe! -
Sorry Joe, was on the way and not logged in on the phone. Brought the rental contract and got new photos at the complex. Thanks you @ubonjoe! Update on the process: The officer said I should have two copies of everything since it was my first time? We did not, we thought we may have to go downstairs and make duplicates for everything but she just ended up accepting anyhow. I am a bit confused on dates. Today is the 28th. I got the the dates to come back Nov 23-29. My question is, when am I supposed to do my first 90 day online? I took pictures of the online registration process from the post at the complex. I originally arrived on Sept 1st. Does the 90 day start from then or today, or the day I pick up my stamp? Thanks for the continued info!
