  1. Ok, great. Thank you! Was just on an old thread and someone mentioned some scam about some immigrations needing it on the same day. Since no one answered, do you by any chance know if witness is ever needed at CW?
  2. @ubonjoe Quick question. Does getting our Kor 22 updated on the same day as our extension matter for CW? And is getting it done the same day risk some issues that could arise and leave us no time to deal with it before our immigration extension appointment? And if so, is there a amphoe near the CW immigration? Thanks as always!.
  3. Thanks for this. Interesting how TM 6 is still listed but I flew in and doesn't apply. Anyone recently do one at CW and can confirm if a witness is needed?
  4. Thanks. "The TM30 receipt (bottom tear-off section of the app form)" Maybe you can explain this a bit more, as I recently posted a question about this. My wife did this online for/as our landlord, as she was not able to understand the process. It was our first time doing this as well, so we were not sure what we needed to keep for our records or proof. She(my wife) used the app and uploaded all the documents online. Then she screen shotted the part on the screen where my name is registered with my passport number, etc.. Was she supposed to save something on the app after she completed the TM 30?
  5. Your list makes it seem very complicated compared with Joe's list. Questions: 3. Bank documents - certificate? 4. STM-2 form? 6. 90-day reporting documents (TM-30)? I just have a TM 30 screenshot from doing it online. And does the original translated Kor Ror 2 have to be updated every year for CW? Question for everyone.
  6. I see. Maybe pinned for the major offices like CW, etc and note that smaller offices should check accordingly? Anyhow, thanks for the explanation Joe!
  7. Thank you! I wonder if Joe or any other moderator would consider the idea of the updated pinned ones like I mentioned? Just seems like these post must be constant and never-ending.
  8. It would be CW. And yes, would be 400k in bank, which is already in there and entered with Non O based on to stay with family for 90 days. Came in on September 1st. Thanks.
  9. Hello all, Back in Thailand and starting early on researching the process again. Only did it once a couple years ago, and left before the second yearly extension, so still feel pretty novice to the procedure. I looked on the pinned area but did not see anything. Can someone provide a pdf of the latest updated requirements and process for extension based on marriage? Or could I suggest pinning something to the top of the page that would be updated as needed? I also feel the same retirement procedures and requirements pinned up there could also be beneficial for the group and newbies like myself. Sorry, if it's all there and I am missing something. I saw Siam attorney online had an "updated 2022" post for the extension but I always trust this board for all my info. Thank you in advance.
  10. Update: So we were able to get both the owners condo house book and ID signed. My wife went ahead and filed as the owner. She uploaded all necessary forms on application. First time, as we weren't sure what to expect as far as completion. She just showed me when we log into the site, you see my name and info under the owners directory page on the TM 30 site. So when you mentioned this: They do like seeing that address notification slip in your passport come extension time....... What do you actually mean? Thanks for the help.
  11. Every time I have rented here, seems like landlords always requested two months as deposit?
  12. Yeah, I agree about the deposit vs 1000 baht. But, tbch, this whole thing has put a bad taste in my mouth, from the negligence, empty promises, disappearing and not responding after I paid the money, etc.. If there was a way to fight it, I probably would, but of course, the Thai wife is against conflicts, and unfortunately, I have to succumb to her way vs my way. Guess, these are the drawbacks of living in a foreign land where you don't know the language enough.
  13. Thanks for the reply, and good to hear that you had good luck with the lease. Yeah, I hope we can obtain those documents and just do it. Also, it is a bit sad they just basically disappeared after taking my two months deposit and first months. Who knows if they will still follow through with the additions to the space as well. I'm guessing, if we can't get these papers, chances are super low. Definitely, lesson learned about making sure to check on the TM 30 before handing over money. Sad thing is the agent did mention the TM 30 when we were signing the lease, like she had plans to help the process. Almost, like I need it in writing on the lease moving forward.
  14. I have never had to reach out to an agent before, guess I have been lucky. If you have one you can recommend, I will definitely consider it. Is deducting the cost like this from the rent a legal thing??
  15. It would be an extension based on marriage. NON O. I just came back into the country and this is the condo I found.
  16. Thanks Joe. The ID copy we have was not signed. So, we asked for signed copies of both. Let's see how it goes. I guess, my main concern is, what happens when I go to do my extension at CW and we don't have a TM 30 to show??
  17. Thanks for the reply. I see, well, I guess we will wait until today, and see if they give the house book and proceed from there. Can the TM 30 be done without their house book? What is exactly needed to do the TM 30 "by yourself". And will I get a fine at CW when I go to do my extension? We have a copy of the landlords ID (they are Chinese). Losing my deposit will be the last resort, such a shame they were so helpful and promising everything when they were about to take my money, then afterwards, they basically disappear.
  18. Hello, Just arrived back in Bangkok and recently signed a lease for a condo. My landlord seems to not want to do the TM 30 as she is seemingly older, is just coming off as a bit clueless and hands off about it all, after we sent her the online instructions, she basically just brushed it off. My wife has offered to forge the process and do it as the landlord, and is dealing with the agent (the landlords friend) on this matter to get the house book document. My wife sends line messages to the group and they don't even read them and or barely reply. If the don't send the house book info by tonight, my wife says she will contact the agent and explain, maybe this contract should be terminated because the landlord seems to not be able to rent to a foreigner, and she will get fined. I have read some older threads where people have mentioned the TM30 not being needed any longer for extensions at CW, etc.. What is the latest news on the TM30? And if needed, do I have recourse to get out of the lease? Not really related, but they also offered to add some things to the room and fix the low water pressure in the bathroom, etc.. But I am a bit skeptical they will even do anything now after this situation. Thanks for the help!
  19. This is just applying for my Non O in Los Angeles. Not the actual extension you refer too. I did a bit more research and it seems like they want a "formal accommodation agreement " of some sort between my spouse and I. Seems strange, but isn't everything with embassies.
  20. I see, strange, but I got the document request from an email follow up, like four days after I submitted. That sounds like a good plan. I will try them tomorrow and hopefully get lucky on the phone. Thanks again Joe!!
  21. Thanks so much! Hmm..15 days seems pretty short to do the application/get settled etc,. Hopefully, they reply. Any idea on what they actually want for proof of stay? In this case, at my spouses apartment rental?
