  1. Whether it is Lesse Majeste or $$$, it still would likely push recalcitrant Senators to vote, "No".
  2. Yup, carefully one by one for months, a domino falls to the predicted outcome, keep the minority cement heads in control.
  3. Badly phrased I admit, but "red notices" do allow for arrest and detention pending extradition determination.
  4. Agree there are some questions to be answered, but as an executor (trustee) of a trust or will, the executor (trustee) can only fulfill the wording of the will or trust until it is legally honored or dissolved. Just speaking in that light, he may have been obligated to hold the shares until the all parties names in the will or trust are legally satisfied. I was the executor/trustee (POA) of my mom's estate, but I couldn't act on anything without her legal authority or lack of her mental and/or physical capacity to manage my family's estate.
  5. Drip, drip, drip to the inevitable. Nullify the election, bar Pita from running for office and the return of the old guard.
  6. Just speaking of the US and stocks....one can dispose of shares of stock when the company becomes delisted through a broker. It is done to claim a loss against cap gains. Usually, there is a set rate for the valuation of the share price per SEC standards. I would imagine a similar approach is possible on publicly traded shares in Thailand on the SET.
  7. "It is up to the Senators, judges and other parties not to let this happen" But, they have been put in for this very purpose...to not let it happen.
  8. The first domino. Pita is done. More dominos to fall at the hands of the Senate and the Judiciary.
  9. I am not seeing when I look at the current composition of the House, how MFP can get to 360 w/o the Senate. Unless the coalition is comprised of MFP, PT and BJ for 363 members. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2023_Thai_general_election
  10. I can't see BJT in an agreement to join a coalition government if they aren't if they are left to just be a minority player.
  11. If there is no coalition government, I could see the current junta government as appointing themselves as caretakers. Then all bets are off for next year.
  12. Not for long. The people have virtually no power...not even to demonstrate. After the Red Shirts, open protest is done. Western protest and then back to the same old, same old.
  13. Parliamentary governing 101 with a little Thai spice thrown in.
  14. Actually, her prison time will be both State and Federal. State time for Hit and Run w/ death and Federal, fleeing the country..
  15. I would assume that you can, but like alcohol I would stow it with luggage and not as carry-on
  16. That's what I am confused about. Didn't the government just legalize canabis?
  17. Probably should. PCR tests are usually turned around in 24 hours in Los Angeles
  18. Maybe, maybe not. It depends on if the hotel booking is used to confirm the PCR test after entry OR is used to boost tourism and as a consequence your entire stay has to be documented with proof of hotel stays. One thing to keep in mind, is that most condo owners are not tourists and would arrive on long-stay or resident visas. My question still is, if my stay is in a serviced apartment or condo, which I have reservations for and normally do, does the entry rule of "hotel bookings" imply that I cannot stay in anything other the "hotels" during my stay?
  19. The Thai Consulates still have to approve entry into Thailand with the Thailand Pass, so I believe the results of the COVID test are submitted to them before departure to approve your entry into Thailand. The Pass should work the same as the COE.
  20. That isn't the verbiage or implication of "hotel bookings". Notice the plural form of the requirement. If they were requiring just one night, presumably to wait for PCR results to come back, then why require "bookings" as a requirement?
  21. Yeah, #5 is the problem for me. I have a condo. So, I can't stay there?
