Pita Limjaroenrat’s PM bid threatened by iTV share controversy
Billybaroo replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Agree there are some questions to be answered, but as an executor (trustee) of a trust or will, the executor (trustee) can only fulfill the wording of the will or trust until it is legally honored or dissolved. Just speaking in that light, he may have been obligated to hold the shares until the all parties names in the will or trust are legally satisfied. I was the executor/trustee (POA) of my mom's estate, but I couldn't act on anything without her legal authority or lack of her mental and/or physical capacity to manage my family's estate. -
Drip, drip, drip to the inevitable. Nullify the election, bar Pita from running for office and the return of the old guard.

Just speaking of the US and stocks....one can dispose of shares of stock when the company becomes delisted through a broker. It is done to claim a loss against cap gains. Usually, there is a set rate for the valuation of the share price per SEC standards. I would imagine a similar approach is possible on publicly traded shares in Thailand on the SET.

"It is up to the Senators, judges and other parties not to let this happen" But, they have been put in for this very purpose...to not let it happen.

The first domino. Pita is done. More dominos to fall at the hands of the Senate and the Judiciary. -
Military-backed senators refuse to back MFP form a government
Billybaroo replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I am not seeing when I look at the current composition of the House, how MFP can get to 360 w/o the Senate. Unless the coalition is comprised of MFP, PT and BJ for 363 members. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2023_Thai_general_election -

I can't see BJT in an agreement to join a coalition government if they aren't if they are left to just be a minority player. -
Military-backed senators refuse to back MFP form a government

If there is no coalition government, I could see the current junta government as appointing themselves as caretakers. Then all bets are off for next year. -

Not for long. The people have virtually no power...not even to demonstrate. After the Red Shirts, open protest is done. Western protest and then back to the same old, same old. -

Maybe, maybe not. It depends on if the hotel booking is used to confirm the PCR test after entry OR is used to boost tourism and as a consequence your entire stay has to be documented with proof of hotel stays. One thing to keep in mind, is that most condo owners are not tourists and would arrive on long-stay or resident visas. My question still is, if my stay is in a serviced apartment or condo, which I have reservations for and normally do, does the entry rule of "hotel bookings" imply that I cannot stay in anything other the "hotels" during my stay?
