  1. Jomtien Immigration today. Renewing extension based on Marrige to Thai:

I addition to what I expected and is detailed above, I needed to :

Photocopy passport pages, every stamp since last extension x2 (tip - check photocopy is clear, those I did on my own scanner in colour were rejected)

Photo prints of wife and me inside house, One photo, 2 prints ( this is in addition to photo including house address signage.)

Photo prints of us plus witness ( as we have no kids), 2 photos, 4 prints

Witness ID card and house book, 2 signed photocopies

    Witness attendance on application.

Also caught out when witness interview revealed she has changed her name at some point, therefore 2x signed copies of Amphur registration document. Sorry don't know KR number.

Everything was double checked by a Senior officer taking about twice as long as last time. missus and witness say interview was more detailed and questions asked about my financial status even though I had the money in the bank.

With a 9 am start and bad luck on (lunch) timing I didn't get my passport back till about 2:30 pm. This despite only 3 people total in the queues before me.

    Back on October 15th....

Edit: Didn;t need KR22, or affirmation of freedom to marry

  2. If applying for re-entry permit at Jomtien, can it be done any day within 7 days of travel date?

Is it normally issued while you wait, come back later, or come back tomorrow?

    Thanks.

You can apply for a re-entry permit at any time before the date you plan on traveling. There no max or minimum time.

They are normally done on the same day you apply. I can recall a report of a person having to go back later in the day pick it up.

    Sounds good, thank you.

  3. more PR garbage this is being caused by SAUDI who are the founding member of OPEC ........the SAUDIS voted only 2 weeks ago NOT TO CUT production..so the UAE are talking out of their collective a****coffee1.gif ...guess it must be russia to blame yet again , at this rate Putin will be the cause of all the cancer in the world:whistling:

    actually you are close

the slump in oil price was by design to bring pressure on Putin Russia and the rouble - I believe it is working

...And pressure on Iran. Kind a nice to screw with Russia, Iran and IS at the same time.

  5. This has been the system for the past 1XXX years and probably will be for the next 1XXX years too! This is nothing more than a witch hunt.

You're mixing your metaphors. A "witch hunt" implies a wild search for culprits that don't even really exist, driven by irrational public frenzy. That's hardly the case here... You might be right about the fruitlessness of the anti-corruption effort, but it's certainly not a search for villains that don't exist! This sounds more like the first steps in a journey of a thousand miles... It's got to start somewhere, and this sounds as good a place as any.

Nope, that would be a 'Wild Goose Chase' smile.png
