  1. I was asking about extension. I currently have a marriage extension but want to change it to retirement extension so will need the extra funds
  2. Hi all is it still 2 months for money in bank prior to application of retirement visa?
  3. Service fees are so cheap here and brands like Toyota have great employees I had a Camry for 12 years and every time I go it’s done quick and it cost nothing my VW Golf in Ireland costs me 25k THB for a service assuming nothing is wrong In Thailand it’s about 5K and thats mostly for the oil.
  4. That only happens if you apply in last few days of your extension validity where your under consideration goes beyond your existing extension date but you are permitted to remain under consideration. So if you went out you would invalidate but if you apply early leave and return with the date of your existing extension date it’s ok and two immigration officers confirmed this as I was worried about leaving and re-entering but I had 5 days left on my extension and re-entry permit and was given a stamp on re-entry 5 days taking me up to my renewal date
  5. I just did it last month my extension was expiring on 11th April I applied on 5th March at Cheangwattana and was give a return date of 11th April. Immigration officer said my current visa and multi entry re-entry permit remain valid. I went out 13th March and returned 6th April and was given 5 days on my stamp on entry up to my new extension date. Picked up extension on 11th April.
  6. I went along to submit my marriage extension application last Friday at Chaeng Wattana. Whilst I was there, I asked 2 separate immigration officers if I can travel during the under-consideration period as my current extension of stay and multiple re-entry permit expire on 11th April and that's the day I collect my new extension, they both confirmed that as long as I'm back before 11th April then I can travel but when I reenter I will only be given a stamp on stay based up to 11th April so when I return on 5th April they will give me 6 day stamp date. Applying early so that the under consideration is within your current extension validity seems to allow you to travel with a valid re-entry permit.
  7. Almost impossible to open an account in a country you don't have permanent or temporary residency (not tourist). Even in Thailand it's hard to open accounts without some type of long-term visa.
  8. I have postponed my trip I will leave when everything is final.
  9. I only had for the initial application and nothing last year even though I had let it lapse as I was in Europe the tail end of covid so started the process again so really this is my first extension on last year's new submission.
  10. Because it’s easy and I like retirement visa agents can’t do anything for you other than protists and drive you there. The immigration process is easy when you prepare which take a few hours.
  11. Thanks for the info. Sounds like it is easier just to stay here and go after I have the new extension.
  12. Thanks for your feedback. I always get a new re-entry permit on the day I get my new extension stamp.
  13. We did my wife called and they couldn't confirm anyway I will get it confirmed when I submit.
  14. Hopefully no visit as its a renewal
