  1. If a doc says he doesn't want the vaccine even for himself, run, don't walk away.
  2. The vaccines do not 100% stop infection. But do so with a very high percentage. Thus, preventing transmission. Which is the key. It's not just about Grandma and grandpa, it's about everyone you come into contact with. Very few can not vaccinate. Very few. And if vaccinated, the odds of getting sick, or having long covid, are dramatically reduced. Dramatically. Sad some chose not to get this life saving vaccine. And help end this pandemic.
  3. It's been proven natural immunity shouldn't be counted on. Especially with Omicron. Again, visit your doctor and get advice there. Not from social media or others opinions. Please. https://thethaiger.com/coronavirus/bangkok-to-begin-pfizer-vaccines-for-children-5-11-next-month
  4. Thousands of children have been tested, age 5 to 11. And more than 10 billion globally. With very few side effects. Especially compared to not being vaccinated. I'd say that's a pretty good testing procedure. Worth a read. https://www.yalemedicine.org/news/covid-vaccine-for-ages-5-to-11
  5. One thing they did with this vaccine to help speed up the full approval was to allow the drug companies to overlap phases. And, the government pushed the FDA to act quicker. Quicker than ever before. No corners were cut. A full process was undertaken. Just cut through the bureaucratic red tape. Billions of doses have been given. Very few problems. Compared to the millions who've died from the virus. A no brainer. Not to mention it will help end this crazy pandemic.
  6. https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/coronavirus/in-depth/covid-19-vaccines-for-kids/art-20513332#if-children If children don't frequently experience severe illness with COVID-19, why do they need a COVID-19 vaccine? A COVID-19 vaccine can prevent your child from getting and spreading the virus that causes COVID-19. If your child gets COVID-19, a COVID-19 vaccine could prevent him or her from becoming severely ill or experiencing short-term or long-term complications. Children with other health conditions, such as obesity, diabetes and asthma, might be at higher risk of serious illness with COVID-19. Getting a COVID-19 vaccine can also help keep your child in school and more safely have playdates and participate in sports and other group activities.
  7. I don't know of any qualified doctor that's confused on this. Pretty much unanimous in their support for the vaccine. Again, it's not just about the child's well being. It's about society's. Something some tend to forget, or don't care about.
  8. Yes, popular with medical and scientific experts. Not popular with the anti vaxxers and covid deniers. Same group points out that vaxxed people make others sick...true...but just a deflection.
  9. Actually, it's not a personal choice, though some make it so. We're in the middle of a global pandemic. The best way out of this is vaccinations. Sadly, some are hindering this process and helping to extend things. And, cause more deaths. I've not read from the OP where they said a doctor said the vaccine wasn't necessary.
  10. Again, it's not just about their health. It's about the health of others around them. Like grandma and grandpa. I'd rather not have to take this vaccine, but if we want this pandemic to end, more will need to be jabbed. Children included.
  11. With respect, I'd leave that decision to her family doctor. Few of here on this forum are qualified to offer advice. And if that child gets sick, you're going to feel pretty bad. Plus, it's not just about protecting their health, it's about the health of others around them.
  12. From that link: As of mid-October 2021, children ages 5 through 11 years have experienced more than 8,300 COVID-19 related hospitalizations and nearly 100 deaths from COVID-19. In fact, COVID-19 ranks as one of the top 10 causes of death for children ages 5 through 11 years. Children who get infected with COVID-19 can also develop serious complications like multisystem inflammatory syndrome (MIS-C)—a condition where different body parts become inflamed, including the heart, lungs, kidneys, brain, skin, eyes, or gastrointestinal organs. Since the pandemic began, more than 2,300 cases of MIS-C have been reported in children ages 5 through 11 years. Children with underlying medical conditions are more at risk for severe illness from COVID-19 compared with children without underlying medical conditions.
  13. Worst place in the world to get advice like this is from social media, or friends. I'd highly suggest you ask your child's doctor.
  14. Right! Forgot about that!!! Perfect. Thanks!!
  15. Great! Appreciate the advice.
  16. Looking for a good place to purchase a GoPro camera. I'll be in Bangkok for a few days and not sure the best place for this kind of camera. Thanks in advance!
  17. More and more pressure is being place on the unvaxxed. From being fired (US Military, T Mobile, etc) to being banned from a variety of facilities to being required to test on a very frequent basis. Sadly, this is what it takes to get some vaccinated. Bizarre. But as you say, it's down to politics and religion mainly.
  18. And gravitate towards misinformation. Drawn like moths to a light.
  19. They won't have to discredit it at all. From that article. Makes sense:
  20. Could be some time before they get here. https://www.reuters.com/business/healthcare-pharmaceuticals/pfizer-supply-10-mln-additional-courses-covid-19-pill-us-govt-2022-01-04/
  21. My friend who's a doc said to stay away from Merck's pill.... But if you're jabbed and boosted, probably not needed.
  22. Yes, it does have to do with the actual products. I went with the more expensive implants. My first one was some 22 years ago in the US. 5K USD. I had one here for about 50k Baht around 5 years ago. No problems at all!!! Good luck! Where are you located?
  23. No problems other than a raging virus. It's not good in that part of the world. Ok if you're boosted, not so good if your not.
