If it's an actual 7-eleven or other national brand licensed "chain store" then typically they sell contracts for the right of 3rd parties to place their equipment on their property.

Otherwise, if you want an ATM then have someone talk to the major local banks.

Just remember that ATM usage is only 'free' (no charge) if you are a member of that bank, otherwise service charges apply for transactions. A bank would only want to place an ATM where it can be (1) Secure, (2) On a service route near other of their ATMs, (3) Consistently used so the ATM placement actually makes them money.

Up here in the far north we finally got an ATM in front of our local Credit Union Cooperative. Otherwise it's a 8km drive into town where there are ATMs at the 4 banks, 7-Eleven, a gas station, and Tesco/Lotus. The local area was supposed to be developing and growing but that seems to have fallen flat and now the banks are leaving one by one.

    This is Fake News RichCor.

You can use other banks' ATMs to withdraw cash a certain times each month and there is no fee.

I have tried chili and basil. In our condominium complex we have a big garden and so insects brought diseases to my plants on my balcony. To cut a long disappointing story short - I gave up. And I have learned that planting something doesn't guarantee that you can harvest something and I am so grateful that I have never been a farmer.

I have previously tried these also Oldie. They grew for about 2 weeks then suddenly stopped growing, even though I watered them the same and they got the same amount of sun.

I can only guess that I was using bad soil? (I bought soil from Tesco Lotus)

These are usually contactless cards where dirt on the chip wouldn't make any difference as communication is by radio waves using an antenna built into the plastic of the card.  Could be an issue on the ATM side but just as easily could be a fault in the card.

Thanks treetops. Am puzzled why it failed the first 2 times but suddenly worked the 3rd time though lol

  4. Had a funny experience yesterday morning - I put in my Thai bank card into an ATM for that bank.

Firstly received error message my card has expired (it hasn't).

Second time ATM said it can't read the chip.

Third time lucky, it worked as normal.

Just wondering if anyone has had similar happen to them? I checked there was no dirt on the chip of my card so I can only presume there is something wrong with the ATM reader/scanner?

    Cheers guys.

  5. Last year I looked in B2S, Asia Books, Loft, Kinokuniya and that place in Emporium that had loads of stationary. I also checked Lazada and Shopee unsuccessfully.

Nowhere had an A4 year diary, with a day for each page (I like to make notes and plans).

I am looking for one like the ones WHSmith back in the UK sells. Can anyone suggest where to look for a 2021 one?

    Cheers!

  6. Hi, my first post here (hence the username, couldn't think of a better one).

My air conditioner keeps making a click kind of noise, at least once a minute on average. It is driving me crazy.

However I had a bad first experience with an air conditioning mechanic, who scammed me into paying extra to top up the coolant when I later found out this is a well known scam.

So to save me money, can anyone give an opinion on why my aircon keeps making a clicking sound? This has pnly started in the last few weeks. The air conditioner is roughly 5 years or older.

Thanks and I am glad to have joined this community!
