Do land border crossings get 45 days visa exempt?

Picked it up next day with no questions asked. Just make sure to book an appointment in advance and provide all the documents they require.

Already came visa exempt 3 times this year. IO at DM airport doesn’t want me to do it again. Is there any airport that has “mai ben rai” immigration likely to allow a 4th visa exempt entry? Please advise

On the Thai Tourist Visa application form (Vietnam version): what’s a good thing to write for “local guarantor”? (I don’t know anyone in Vietnam) What about “guarantor in Thailand” if I don’t have anyone who wants to be involved? For “Occupation (include position and name of employer)” would visa be more likely to be denied if put “unemployed”? what might an acceptable answer be in such a situation? “Proof of accommodation to stay covering at least half of the trip with complete information.” Really we are expected to pay for a month of hotel before even knowing if we’ll be granted a visa?

You are best able to find a good exchange rate in your home country. Bring enough to survive the first couple days. Or just withdraw at airport atm. My bank gives almost published exchange rate when withdrawing from atm in the local currency. Never a need to be screwed by money exchangers.

My friend’s first teeth cleaning in Thailand was not a good experience. Let’s start with the apparently common practice here of covering the patient’s entire face so they can’t see what might be going into their mouth. The cleaning itself was maybe 15 minutes, often painful, and teeth did not feel smooth or clean afterwards. Went to dentist in home country shortly thereafter and they noted significant plaque had not been removed. Dental hygienist in home country usually spends at least 60 minutes scraping and teeth feel smooth and clean afterwards. Looking for a dental clinic with cleaning comparable to a Western country.

So what happened?

But does HCMC still issue visas to nationals of other countries whose home country is on evisa? My friend is considering going to HCMC to get a Tourist Visa. Their home country is eligible to apply for evisa, but they would not want to fly back to home country just to get visa in passport. Could they get an evisa, go to Vietnam and return with that evisa?

The reason the low level IO passed this to supervisor IO is because was entering Thailand before the date of a COVID extension expired and IO didn’t know how to process that. Got a 60 day covid extension Stayed 7 days Spent 30 days in Canada Returned to Thailand 23 days before the 60 day extension end date

If that IO was wrong, would it be an even better plan to use an agent to request the 30 day extension? Friend spent a month in Canada between each visa exempt entry.

During “my friend’s” 3rd visa exempt entry this year the IO (supervisor level) at DM airport almost denied entry and only gave a 30 day stamp after purchased a ticket out of Thailand right in front of them. IO said they were writing a note in the file that if a 30 day extension was requested it should be denied and would get a 1 year ban. That IO said have to apply for a visa from outside Thailand, no more visa exempt entries. I don’t know if just got unlucky with the IO who made up a new rule or if there is now a limit on visa exempt entries. Intend to do a visa run to Vietnam to apply for a Tourist Visa. Have any experience getting a Thai Tourist Visa issued in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam?
