Are airlines' test requirements same as US government?
mtls2005 replied to Enzian's topic in COVID-19 Coronavirus
Are you a U.S citizen? https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/travelers/international-travel-during-covid19.html Before boarding a flight to the United States, you are required to show a negative COVID-19 test result taken no more than 1 day before travel. There is also an option for people who have documented recovery from COVID-19 in the past 90 days. An ATK test administered by a certified professional, not you at home, is acceptable. https://www.medconsultasia.com/covidtesting/ There are many places to get tested. There is a testing facility Suvarnabhumi, but check their operating hours. -
Seven years later, only about 10 percent of the project was completed. In January 1998, the Chuan Leekpai government canceled the contract, citing repeated delays in the construction. Chuan Leekpai is a Thai politician who is the current President of the National Assembly of Thailand as well as the incumbent Speaker of the Thai House of Representatives. Previously he served as the Thai prime minister from 20 September 1992 to 19 May 1995 and again from 9 November 1997 to 9 February 2001. One assumes the third fourth time will be a charm... How are Russians avoiding sanctions in Thailand?
mtls2005 replied to Pravda's topic in General Topics
Wonder how many oligarchs are moving yachts, jets, gold to thailand? The russian tourists, assuming they stay past their shelf-life, will end up suffering. The russian ex-pats? Who knows? Some might have local "income"? Others relying on their russian pension might have issues? -

Sanctioned Russia teeters on brink of historic default LONDON, March 16 (Reuters) - The economic cost of Russia's assault on Ukraine was further exposed on Wednesday as the sanctions-hit country teetered on the brink of its first default on international debt since the Bolshevik revolution. Moscow is due to pay $117 million in interest on two dollar-denominated sovereign bonds it sold in 2013. But the limits it now faces in making payments, and talk from the Kremlin that it might pay in roubles - triggering a default anyway - has left even veteran investors guessing at what might happen. https://www.reuters.com/business/finance/sanctions-savaged-russia-teeters-brink-historic-default-2022-03-16/ -

Well any SWIFT transfer goes through an intermediary bank, unrelated to the origin and destination banks. So there's that. -

OK. Sorry, your mention of using the app threw me off. Did you ever successfully log in after registering previously? Are you sure you're using the correct email and password? And the captcha thing ubonjoe mentions of course. Are you using a VPN? Clear cache, cookies, disable ad blockers. -

Perhaps you or your Head of Imm contact could clarify how using WISE to transfer money from one bank to another is "not bank to bank"? Is using SWIFT "bank to bank" acceptable? Is having an SSA benefit directly deposited "bank-to-bank" acceptable? I mean for those of us who are unenlightened? -

You want to watch every game (yes I know this may be challenging), some games? You're in thailand? You have broadband internet? What device? TV? Android box? Phone? FYI, clocks changed last weekend. https://www.reddit.com/r/ncaaBBallStreams/new/ led me to http://www.blackbolt.ga/2022/03/fb8b08ba.html Washington State vs. Santa Clara Can also find completed games. -

This is quite a bold and definitive statement. And it runs contrary to hundreds if not thousands of first-hand experiences documented here and on FB. Are you free to share any background, or details? This "Head of Imm" informed you? Directly? When? Under what circumstances did this conversation arise? I used WISE once, it was bank (BofA) to Bank (Bangkok Bank). -

Meh. That link was ALWAYS there (in the first email), but just two thai characters so most overlooked it. If you hit resend a few times eventually the email with the six digits shows up. But many get confused with so many emails. Using the mobile app, yes we know you can't use a phone, is the best method to allow web login. The Lazada app's notification pops in ~ 10 seconds, then just click Allow. Without a phone how will delivery personnel contact you? How do you even register at Lazada without a mobile number?
