Yes, within 72 hours from first port of departure. There are some, very rare, instances where people have been rejected at a stopover if it (by then) passed 72 hours. This, however, is not supposed to be the rule so I shouldn't be too worried about it.
On my flight (from Zurich) every single person that did not have a fit-to-fly issued less than 72h ago was rejected!many people tried to call the doctor to quickly issue a new one and send to email as proof ...some succeeded.

Anyone tried flying to Phuket from Bangkok?
Is there quarantine removed already ...or just the usual "talks" but no reality?

January 17-20...
i have seen several people on IG (Instagram) flying commercially to Phuket from Bangkok.
They all are enjoying the beach, going to cafes / restaurants, malls.
Is the quarantine just the official thing ...and inofficially noone actually checks / cares on arrival (just like checking into thaichana at many bkk locations)?

The only issue I have with Thailand is that it is dirty.
My choice after Thailand is Taiwan.
- Safe
- Modern
- Clean!!!
- Self sustainable (doesn't need tourists, they have 0 cases all year round)

Sorry but thats just nonsense. How it is more likely to be hit by a tuk tuk than to test positive for covid im completely baffled by that.
You can test positive with no symtoms on arrival. In Thailand if you test positive on arrival at the airport or at the hotel you are immediately transferred to the hospital you are not allowed to issolate in your asq hotel room.
Many people have tested positive with no symtoms on arrival from the stories ive been reading on the asq fb group and many of their insurance policies did not cover for asymtomatic hospitalization therefore incurring significant expenses out of their own pocket. Given the incubation period is 14 days whos to say you test negative on arrival but test positive on day 7 in the hotel having possibly picked up the virus in the airport or on the flight.
Therefore it is only common sense to purchase a policy that will cover you for asymptomatic hospitalization
1. The chance of you actually testing positive on arrival is lower than you getting into a car accident in bangkok. That is my point.2. Asymtomatic: They will ask you if you have symptoms, either say "yes" having purchased the cheap insurance, or be an honest citizen and go with the overensured policy.

So does Pacific cross. And they issue the insurance copy in 3 days- 1

Does tipinsure cover for asymptomatic hospitalization? Axa cover this a lot of the other providers do not.
Chances are higher that you get hit by a tuktuk then be delivered to a hospital or even be tested positive.People are over-insured for no reason.

You can (probably) cancel the axa (they have pretty lax refund policies).
pacific cross is (for me, 33yr old) the cheapest at 29k including everything (inpatient and coco insurance). Try that- 2

Hi,
i purchased this insurance policy from axa which covers a minimum of $100,000 covid 19 insurance for a total of 6 months the insurance police was 21,600 baht.
This is the policy i am refering to https://www.axa.co.th/en/axa-sawasdee-thailand-travel-insurance
I am now being told by axa that this in its own is not enough for the stv and i must also buy health insurance otherwise my stv application will be rejected from my embassy?
Does anyone else know if this is correct that the policy above which i purchased is not enough on its own? I was shocked to hear this after paying out 21,600 for it.
They tell me i must also purchase this insurance policy below. Is that correct thanks?
https://www.axa.co.th/en/axa-Long-Stay-Visa
Kind Regards
You paid 21k for the covid insurance only?! Mine was a mere 7000. should have gone with tipinsure.yeah for stv need inpatient / outpatient insurance also (usually runs more expensive than coco-insurance)

In England, we are in Tier 4 lockdown (and not allowed to leave your home except for essential things), yet the streets and shops are all pretty busy with people.
So, obviously I would like to know how the REALITY compares to the Rules.
I have lives in Thailand before and I know how flimsy all the 'so called' rules are.
it's a strictly controlled 5-star prison.ALQ just has worse food / accomodatiin than ASQ.

The average turn-around time for PCR testing is about 3 days.
It's not possible to get a PCR test and results within 72 hours. The new "rapid" tests don't count? On some official Thai websites they don't state "PCR" but on others they do state "PCR"
What am I supposed to do?
What have others done?
In my country (Switzerland) the result comes in less than 24h and all covid tests are free (as should be)good luck to you

Hello,
Does anyone know the "his/her personal link at least 5 working days before departure date. " is located on the Thai US Embassy website ? My flight was cancelled and have to upload a new one but, not seeing the link on the Embassy's website. Tried to call, and email but nothing back.Maybe this: https://coethailand.mfa.go.th
Discribe what you have done so far process wise (Have visa?, Have COE?, When is departure ..etc.)
If you already have the COE you need to call to cancel it and then create a new one (cannot create a new one if you have an existing one, will be denied).

You guys think it'd be worth buying a year of health insurance right now solely to use for the vaccine? Or are vaccine prices pretty reasonable in Thailand?
Probably same as a normal flu-vaccine and probably funded for low-income people (not falang) somehow...

Does Thai Elite Visa not have a helpline for this sort of thing ?
You would probably be better asking them direct.
I did. They seem to "beat around the bush" and it takes them 24 hours to respond so hence me asking here, maybe someone has the elite visa and was in the same situation where one does not want a fix place just to get the TM30...

What is your real situation do you go from hotel to hotel or do you actually have a place you rent ?
I just wanna travel around spontaneously, don't wanna settle for a place anywhere yet. Hence my question on how to obtain a TM30 as easy as possible for the affixation and then for 90-day reporting...
-
To affix my Elite Visa stamp in BKK I need a TM30 form.
The way I understand (have researched) it is that only the hotel / owner of condo (in case I rent) can make the TM30 for me...!?
Does any hotel hand me a TM30? Even if I stay for only 3 nights?
Will I need to have a fix stay for the duration of getting an appointment at the immigration office until the affixation of said stamp?
Is there a requirement to the TM30 "start and end dates"?

How long did it take them to put the physical visa in the passport and mail it back to after you were approved online? Because it hasn’t even been 15 business days since they rolled out the new SETV.
Took 4 business days

@BudRight How did the consulate tell you that you are rejected? How long did it take?
I've submitted mine 4 days ago and still no response. They don't pick up the phone and don't reply to emails.
It's thai holiday thursday AND friday, so you will not get a response until monday ????

Has anyone managed to get this visa?
Got it. 0 hickups
Also, as of some days ago they updated the terms so you only need a few hundred USD for the visa. Best check with the embassy when they "take on" the new terms

My biggest obstacle when transferring from Sweden is actually that my swedish bank put a maximum amount per 7 day period (15.000 sek = 52.800B).... I guess they are fighting back Transferwise by doing it this way...
But ...you can simply transfer to the local Swedish Transferwise account (then the transfer takes about 24h in my experience). There should be no limit there because it is a normal local transfer. On which kind is the restriction? Credit card / apple pay?

I did PM you a Guideline document on TransferWise and how to ensure that - whichever Thai bank you are transferring the funds to - that you can get hold of the IO-required evidence that the funds originated from abroad.

Could you also send me a PM-message please, I use UOB Thailand. (Transferwise usually sends me money from their Kasi-Bank)

I applied for the elite visa, the 500'000 THB option.
--- I know the transferwise limit is 2 Million THB in one go ---
Does anyone know if there is a limit on how much I can transfer with transferwise without running into problems -> AmL checks, other hold-ups, questions asked etc.?
2. Can I just tag "travel expenses" in transferwise or what should I tag it as?
