Hello all

I am going to Bangkok this Thursday (25th) and i feel like staying in the area of Nana plaza (and no, i am not 70 years of age )

As it is high season now, i dont want to head to Bangkok and go for Nana hotel without a backup plan so i am looking for some advice/backupplan in case Nana Hotel is fully booked (Yes, i tried online booking : No, i didnt got any reply back)

Anybody can give me advise on any hotel in this infamous area with similar activities like how Nana Hotel gets his reputation?

As for me, i dont mind to enjoy myself a bit, its a crazy place for crazy people so i fit well.

I heard hotels in Nana Plaza, especially Nana Hotel are very entertaining, alot of people of all kinds and all kinds of funny activities; a friend told me he sat with a coffee in lobby/hall and had a great time just sitting and watchin there....

Anybody can help me out with some hotelnames worthy of staying in case Nana Hotel is full?

I wonder what brings you to Bangkok.

Doctor, shopping, relaxing and some enjoyment at night (=drinking/chicks)

Most of y'all wont believe it but i havent been into Nana Plaza or Soi Cowboy at all

4 weeks ago i went with a Thai friend to Nepal and i figured out that he was in Bangkok at the same time.

His gf is in University and she got kinda lots of friends and these friends joined us

University/college girls... very yummy!

I just came back from LOS and i stayed in Dynasty Inn Grand

It was perfect

The price has gone up : it is 2680 baht per night

5 to 7 minutes walking from Nana Plaza

Room was perfect, nice and big

Bed was very comfortable,very soft!

Bathroom came with bathtub and shower; the shower was better than what i got here in my own house

7/eleven, 3 in close proximity of which 1 just right beside the hotel

Staff was helpfull whenever i needed them

Succesfull choice, if u want a nice room and can spend 2680 baht

The only negative thing is maybe that the hotel is located a bit further down the road on Soi 4 and also down the road on soi 6

Next time i visit LOS, ill be staying in Dynasty Grand again

I got mail frm Dynasty Inn , and they booked me in a standard room so i am happy

However, i replied the mail and asked them to transfer my bookin to Grande, as this hotel will suit my needs much better

No idea of the hotels are connected (same owner/booking blabla) but still, worth a try!

So , it is gonna be one of te Dynasty hotels

I agree, planning is bad, i just have to let the wind take me whever it blows

Still, im sure there are preferences, places that are better than the other which is publicly known by people who went there already quite a few times

I havent had any reply frm my booking request at Dynasty Inn, guess it will take some more time

i just have to go and see as i will depart tomorrow to BKK, i dont expect to have a reply soon frm them

Anyway, Ill hit Grande first, and then see if i am lucky if they have a room free.

If not, ill try the cheaper Dynasty, and if this is also full i will try....................uhhh...................that i havent figured out yet haha

Someone mentioned Nana city but i have read some reviews about this place and they arent that great.

Is grande very far frm the action or is it quite alright? on the map its looks like it is located down Soi 4 and the first street on the left, but you say Soi 2, that sounds like walking alot EDIT: I see, Soi2 is first street on the left

I do feel a bit uncomfortable with the booking i made of Majestic, i didnt know it was a form, i did fill in the details of my credit card and it was sent like an email... i havent had any reply yet from them

Hope they dont enjoy themselves with the card details on other stuff

I like Mandarin, but expecting to walk in, grab a girl, then walk out probably won't work very well in any bar.

In normal life, i work hard ( really) and these few days are to relax (at night) and do my business

Every business u should approach with some kind of ease, in order to get the best out of it.

As for Nana P, i will be by myself (wouldnt it be strange to sit there all by myself? looks kinda desperate,dont u think?) and obviously i aint gonna rush

I should have a taste of it all: sit,drink and relax

However,relaxing between shaking bodies is kinda new to me, so i guess i need to get used to it the first 30 mins

I have always found the staff there to be very honest but I wouldn't book through the homepage anyway unless you really want to pay on departure..

I book through <a href="http://www.thaihoteldiscounts.com/" target="_blank">http://www.thaihoteldiscounts.com/</a> which is much cheaper, but you have to pay up front.

I find it odd that theres a risk by booking through their main site

Im going for Majectic (IF it is still available hhahaha)

i hardly make use of Credit Cards, i did once and i paid a (online) domestic airline fee (in India) for a friend, and this guy needed to carry photocopies of the card/my signatures etc to show the airline office that it was a legal purchase and not frm a stolen credit card

So it wont be a problem if i make a booking and when i arrive i cant show the card that i used to make the booking??

Majestic, it had like 3 roomtypes , the difference between these rooms are not more than a small bottle of beer

Any1 want to advice me which one to take? ... no suite (2050 baht) as i find that waste of money.... 80% of the time im out

Whats the price for single standard room ?

Not the online price as i am not plannin to make (advance)bookings by CC

I am a bit worried that i will walk around this Thursday frm hotel to hotel as i havent made any booking

The more i read, the more information i get, and i see people mentioning booking rooms 3 (!) months in advance for hotels such as Majestic Inn and others

i guess i should make my backuplist longer ( bcuz as of now i have only Nana Hotel/Majestic and Dynasty on it )

Is there any way to find out room availabilty on the web of these hotels?

i have stayed at Woraburi two times

My own experience were so-so

I hve read alot of complaints, from bad bookings to stolen valuables when luggage was stored in their luggage storeroom

Woraburi is also a bit far walking, its nice if u need excercise yes

In 2 days i go and i guess i try Nana Hotel first, after that Majestic and Dynasty, Manhatten also sounds nice but is a bit too far away from the hotspot i think (cross the street, walk down the road)

Mr Toad mentioned Grace hotel , what is so special about that? let me see the location first,then i might have an idea...

How bout the action at the hotel itself? i love to walk down / exit my room and find myself in a nice place/lobby/hall/bar with people / ladies for a nice conversation/socialising event :-P thats why i wondered about the Nana hotel; i heard the sugar daddies (old sex tourist/farang are everywere, and most of the time, due to their life experience (their age) they are good company (not looking or judging what they are doing in the hotel/the area itself)

But Mr TW25RW, if i come with cash, nobody will refuse...as far as i have seen, a card is simply the way to make an advance booking, with the extra risk of theft....and nothing more than that

I can manage a card today and have a hotel booked , but do you (or anyone else) really think its very much required (especially now, since i will depart to Bangkok in 4 days frm now) ? will it be full for this comming friday? any idea?

Anyway...as for the female action... Nana hotel seemed like a place that takes away possible boundries as the females are everywere..... but if i stay in Majestic, the easyness, simplicity will disappear as i have to really focus on gettin contact/connected with a nice lady,.... ( i guess )

In Nana Hotel, all u have to do is walk down the lobby and pick.

I guess Majestic will make me doubt as there is more effort to be done by myself (or am i wrong)

Im still not fully 100% comfortable with pay 2 play as u can see it basically has to fall on my lap

And oh....... what if Majestic and Nana hotel are full....any other suggestion where i should stay with my kind of desires? ;-)
