  1. In reality, I think you are mixing 2 notions: plagiarism and texts generated by AI. Regarding plagiarism, there are indeed tools that allow you to tell whether a text is original or copied. In any case, it is integrated into the Google engine and a plagiarized text will not be referenced or very poorly. Concerning AI, there are detection tools to know if a text was generated by AI or by a human. However, it is entirely possible to circumvent them. AI is a no-code tool (more than real Artificial Intelligence as we imagine it: a robot that thinks). Used well, it's fantastic. The problem is that everyone has their opinion on AI, but few know how to use it optimally and, above all, know everything that can be asked of it. Finally, human beings have this constant habit of always wanting to divert things and we all pay the consequences. This is also why the internet has become a real trash can.
  2. A guy who lives in Thailand who comes to make a cold-blooded comment about morality... I definitely would have seen, read and heard everything here!! You should go live in Iran or Afghanistan, that seems to suit your morals more. By the way, anyone familiar with people who have lived on this island knows exactly who the culprit is and exactly what happened. This has been described in other comments. Let's stop this charade. 2 innocent people in prison for 10 years, this story makes me vomit.
  3. For anyone who wants to adopt a cat or dog, I highly recommend you search on Facebook: Patricia Peksa. she takes care of taking in animals that have been abandoned. They are all cared for when necessary. It's free but you can make a donation. I thus recovered 2 cats (brothers & sisters) who had been abandoned by their master because they had a virus. They were treated and then entrusted to a temporary foster family. They were 3 months old when I got them, they are currently 3 years old...and I can't do without them anymore, even if at first it was a bit hell πŸ˜‚. I previously had 2 females and this is what I recommend. They are more β€œtogether”. The ones I had never left each other's side, slept together, washed each other. Boys and girls, it's a bit like humans πŸ™„...they ignore each other a little. They chase each other from time to time but not much more. The male sleeps with me very often and was jealous for a very long time, he chased his sister out of my bed whenever she came. With the cold coming back for a few days, it's the first time they've both slept with me πŸ˜€
  4. First thing you should do : =>Google maps "guitar store Pattaya" then "guitar store bangkok". I've made a quick look and it's true that there is not a lot of shops in Pattaya. But in Bangkok you have a lot of shops (with pictures & reviews). Don't forget to look at the second hand market on Facebook and Kaidee. Last but not least, a look on Lazada and shopee. Many of the shops in bkk also have shops on these market places (search by brands might be better). Careful, there are a lot of counterfeit. Here are the 2 tips to keep in mind: 1. They usually never sell a copy at the price of an original (like on Amazon) 2. Scroll to the specs, if you have: Eg. Brand : no name (or oem)=fake Or brand: Fender (or whatever the brand)=original πŸ˜‰
  5. ChatGPT isn't really a tool for having fun asking him questions. In fact, in the early days, GPT3 on the open AI playground was more designed for this purpose, and it was possible to create really engaging discussions with sometimes bluffing answers. ChatGPT can be seen as an intelligent tool, or more as a series of tools. These tools are mainly designed to save precious time for people working alone on the Internet from home, and for certain companies by performing certain tasks more efficiently. And if you look at it objectively, it's a frontal attack on everything Google has put in place over the last 5-6 years under the name of "quality", which has had exactly the opposite effect. The number of skills required to exist on the Internet has become simply mind-boggling, and for several years I'd been thinking that the only way to survive would be to create teams where everyone brought a different skill to the table. ChatGPT is the answer to this problem, offering you the chance to have assistants working for you. And as with all assistants, the more precise your instructions, the higher the quality of the result. To visualize, the best thing to do is visit sites that store examples of prompts according to theme. There's prompt Genius on Reddit, for example, or a site like datafit, as well as numerous Facebook groups.
  6. Mr. "Justice of the Peace" has arrived. Bow down before him. Lick his feet or beware his wrath! You'll suffer his nasty jibes and lose your face! He and he alone knows which subjects are interesting and which are not! Hey man, just because your life is limited to the number of beers you drink every day and the younger and younger girls you look at, or because you don't have any perspective on life, that you don't ask yourself any questions, because your brain is more like mush than anything else, doesn't mean that at any moment you have to think you can allow yourself this kind of comment on a forum. It's the difference between saying "it's good / It's not good" and "I like / I don't like" Do you get it ? #dondiegodelavega 😁 When I think that this continues while there was a message about the "new" moderation of the forum...nothing has changed and nothing will ever change, forums are in fact where jerks finally have the right to express themselves. And they don't hold back, to say the least. And the guy is an "advance member" with 5.6k messages sent...OMG
  7. It's a subject that comes up from time to time when you reach a certain age. And the richer and more exciting your life, the duller things can seem. I don't have the answer to the question, but it brings to mind an artist I discovered recently. I must be living in a cave not to have discovered him sooner, or the YouTube algorithm must have judged that we weren't compatible (sic). - I invite you to watch the video and analyze your reaction. - Read the comments (many will feel less alone). - Watch videos of comments on the video (these are people who film themselves watching a video for the first time on the advice of their subscribers). I avoid these channels in general, but especially for this artist, it's worth it. I particularly agree with what one person wrote in a comment: Through reactions, we try to re-experience what we ourselves felt the first time. - Finally, I invite you to learn more about this artist and what he's going through. DISCLAIMER : the subject and the way it is treated may seem shocking. It's not a slap in the face, it's a Mike Tyson left hook. For the record, this video made over 10 million hits in less than a year. The artist's name is Ren and the song is "Hi Ren". Enjoy. This would certainly deserve a dedicated topic.
  8. It's funny how nothing changes on this forum. Everyone is always inclined to mock the slightest person who expresses a sentiment that doesn't go along with the leaders of this forum. If that isn't a form of intellectual dictatorship... A forum is made for expressing different points of view, and if you disagree, all you have to do is put forward opposing arguments, which creates a constructive and interesting discussion. It's amusing to note the extent to which you felt targeted by the word "grumpy". Where I come from, we say "only the truth hurts"... Even your sense of humor is out of date, and it smelt the finish line for many. Here's to you old farts! (go on, do yourself a favor, I'm unlikely to read you, I only come here very rarely to see if the same morons are still alive or if there's a glimmer of hope)
  9. If you make a ratio between the number of accidents of this type and the number of people who play this kind of game, you'll end up with a number of the order of 0.000001%. And that doesn't prove anything. Don't forget that associations have tried to have certain supposedly violent games banned and never succeeded. What's more, there's nothing to say that the opposite effect isn't occurring: The game becomes an outlet for some, who vent their violent impulses on the game rather than on others. In my experience, it takes a much stronger trigger than a simple video game to trigger this kind of madness. In fact, there were drivers who thought they were "Fangio" long before video games, and no one has ever been able to prove that this number has increased with the arrival of racing simulation games. I'm a former gamer, I grew up with video games, I even played with my father the first video game in the 70s (pong). I agree that there are perverse effects, with children who do nothing else but play video games, who have no interest in anything else. For me, it's always been just a hobby, like tennis or soccer. You have to watch out for excess, as with everything else.
  10. I don't know if you drive like a maniac, but what you just wrote is called a shortcut. But this one will take you down a dead-end road. You blame video games, but what you don't understand is that these people have tipped over into madness. And madness can manifest itself in many different ways. Except we don't talk about it on TV. So your shortcut is murders = video games. What tips you over the edge into madness is a trigger. But these people had an underlying predisposition. Waiting for an occasion to show up. These people are on probation, but they don't know it. Here are a few examples I've witnessed: A violent emotional shock: Attack, death, accident... I've seen 3 cases: The first one : After the explosion of a chemical fertilizer warehouse outside the city, all the windows in the city center exploded. All means of communication were saturated and my ex-girlfriend didn't hear from her father and little brother for 3 hours. The intensity of the stress caused her brain to burn out and she began to have paranoid attacks. She was convinced that she was under constant police surveillance. It wasn't easy, but we managed to get her to see a doctor. She was constantly on medication, because she knew it could happen again at any time. And unfortunately It happened 20 years later when she was married with children... The 2nd, after the death of their father, the brother of a friend became crazy and he wanted to kill his sister, blaming her of being responsible. He end up in a mental hospital. The 3rd was the husband of the woman who initially trained me in my profession. He hanged himself. A 2nd example is taking hard drugs (and in this case, it's more on this side that I'd look, given the ravages of Yaba and Ice): What few people know is that when you take a hard drug for the first time, you're playing Russian roulette with your brain because it's the perfect trigger. But so is taking it in large quantities, because these people don't sleep, and the brain becomes suffocated and switches into madness. Where video games may be indirectly responsible is in the case of the so-called no-lifers (who played World of Warcraft, among other games). But it wasn't the game that was responsible, but their lifestyle: lack of sleep + poor diet. In fact, these cases of madness are more frequent than we think, but nobody dares to talk about them. If you witness a case and talk about it, you'll see that tongues are loosened. Murder is only a tiny fraction of the consequences of madness, but it makes the headlines. Be aware that brain damage is irreversible, so take care of it.
  11. What is your point? Because you don't like clubbing, only "freelancers" then all the people who think differently or like to have fun without having to look at their watch have a problem? I am appalled by the lack of open-mindedness of people. When your brain went off the rails to the point of thinking that it is not possible that we could think otherwise, not like the same things as you... Let me tell you something: What makes this world so rich is that we are all different. If we were all the same, we would all be dressed the same, there would only be one car model in one color, all the apartments would be the same with the same furniture, we would all vacation at the same place, practice the same sport etc. But the biggest problem is that we would all be in love with the same girl! ????
  12. I was present too and I can testify: He was wearing a blue T-shirt with an S on it and a red cape! 10 minutes after they left, the whole building started shaking
  13. The beautiful beach and clarity of the sea, its unique superb architecture, museums, art galleries... If he had known this place, Salvador Dali would have said: Pattaya is the center of the world!
  14. Yes, a recent study shows that alcohol becomes much more dangerous after dark... I think that if the government had any common sense, it would only allow nightclubs to be open during the day, because it is scientifically proven that being drunk during the day is far less dangerous than being drunk at night, even if at first sight, we might be naive enough to think that there are more people in the streets and on the roads during the day than at night...????
  15. I have already seen this kind of debate in my country where the owners of nightclubs put pressure on the town hall to obtain authorization to close 1 hour later (6am instead of 5am) during the summer season and apparently the impact on the turnover is much more important than one might think. A fun little thing: I receive the Asean Now news letter, and you have these 2 titles one after the other: β€’ 4 AM closing time for nightspots postponed indefinitely β€’ Anutin confidant COVID infections over New Year are controllable I naively thought the reason there was this restriction was to prevent the spread of the virus, but I must have missed some important news. Unless it is only the continuation of a policy of persecution by the army against the discos having already led to the closure of "mythical" (sic) places like the Climax in Bkk. Its owner (who also owns the Hilaris bars) having finally decided to close this establishment, because she was fed up with the police/army raids every week (Or so I was told) All the big capitals have a very developed nightlife, I can mention London, Istanbul, Berlin, Brussels, Amsterdam, Madrid, Rome and so many others. To kill the nightlife is to lose a large part of tourists. This is even more the case for holiday destinations. Or the plan is to make Pattaya to become a city for retired rich people of the 3rd and 4th age and medical tourism ???? Well, turning a ladybar into a nurse shouldn't be too difficult, some already have a very sexy version of their uniform and perfectly master life-saving gestures, mouth-to-mouth, heart massage (among others based on well-being and relaxation) ????????
  16. 1. I'm definitely not American, not even native English Speaker 2. You say that you will denounce a person in overstay in the same way as a murderer, rapist.. 3. I'm trying to explain to you that you can't compare the 2 4. Now you just tell me to watch from the Thai point of view, which has nothing to do with your position, but I'm going to do it anyway: A murderer, rapist, pedophile, thief... will be sentenced to prison. A person in overstay will be sentenced to pay a fine and then sent back to his country of origin with a 10-year blacklisting. At no time will he be sentenced to imprisonment. On the other hand, if he cannot pay the fine, he will have to stay in deportation until he can pay, knowing that the amount will increase every day because there is no free accommodation and free lunch ( I met an Irishman who happened to in other circumstances: He got caught in a school without a work visa. He didn't have the money to pay and neither the agency for which he worked nor the school wanted to help him, he spent 3 months in prison). It is you who has a problem of graduation between offenses and crimes. Neither me, nor the other people who answered you, because shocked by your position, nor the Thais. Enjoy your weed Bob
  17. The passport provided is absolutely not helping anyone to stay here. I believe it's an obligation to deliver a proof of Identity. Nope, someone on overstay is not a criminal. A murderer, rapist, pedophile, thief, dealer...is a criminal. It is important to make this difference. This is a crime. I told a friend once who was proud to say that he bought his driving license in Kao San that he was making a huge mistake. Using fake official documents is a severe crime. If a person overstaying has the right contacts or knows people who will be able to point them out to him, if he solves his money problems, he can solve this problem too. And that is not the problem of an embassy. On the other hand, if the guy is caught with no ID proof it becomes a problem because the Thai authorities won't know where to send him back if he refuse to tell his country of origin (but from what I heard, with boiling water on your legs, you are answering all the questions very quickly ????)
  18. Typical answer of a perfect idiot. All the message you wrote are showing it. You are defined with the expression "me, myself and I" thinking that you have all the knowledge and you have nothing to learn from anyone. So, stay on your pedestal, I have nothing to prove to a guy not even able to make the difference between a crime and a violation of the law. The day you will fall down from that pedestal, I advise you to put your brain in a pawnshop with a note : Like new, hardly used
  19. how much are you ready to bet ? (the amount must be pretty high because it's not the kind of info you share)
  20. lol bad news, you are very bad at guessing. My field is definitely not SEO and it's the task I hate the most. I am not suffering from anything because for the past 3 years I receive incomes from smart advertising that I buy, promoting highly profitable smart affiliates products. And by the way, I absolutely never bought any backlink in my life because I know how to rank a website in 2 days on the first page of google (but it's only based on the url, I am not Harry Potter, the exact place will depend on the SEO difficulty of the keywords that you choose). "Then you could have said you find it difficult to keep up with helpful content updates and the Span Brain AI update", I should have developed even more. My point was to say that your job of copywriter might disappear sooner or later. Guess what? you definitely still have a lot to learn. How many hours per week did you say you are working? I work 3h per week on these affiliate products, which leaves me plenty of time to develop a deep knowledge of all the process to get a pro result when recording from home as I am also a voice-over actor : Building a booth, sound proofing a room, choosing the devices matching with your environment as well as the sound engineer job to understanding and using wisely all the effects like compression, EQ, noise reduction... The main change in my life after investing a huge amount of time, working 7/7 with no holidays to develop many different skills is that now I have the luxury to do what I want and I only do things I like because I don't have to worry about money. But to replace this in this topic, the difference between you and me, is that I don't state on a public forum that people who don't reach my level are idiots. I am humble and I don't judge others regarding my situation. But it seems you are still too young to understand it.
  21. I'm not sure that this government really has clear ideas about what they expect from foreigners. The elites (who frankly hate us) would dream of Thailand becoming like Singapore, but it's a sweet dream. They are light years away from reaching their ankle. Tourism and immigration policy is like dancing the Samba: One step forward, 2 steps back. We must take into account the global situation, which is far from being good and I doubt that it will improve with the consequences of the war in Ukraine and the bill that we will have to pay because of the Covid . Because, don't fool yourself. we are the ones who will pay the bill in a way or another. What must be taken into account are the vagaries of life. A person can have temporary difficulties, I think it has happened to all of us for different reasons. If you work for a company that suddenly decides to close its offices in Thailand and to set up in Somalia to save money, you'll find yourself out of work, probably having some difficulty in finding a new one quickly, but that doesn't matter. you are not a pariah who must be chased away without delay. And then if take a close look at the minimum wage for a foreigner which is 50,000thb per month, even if you manage to survive for a while by doing odd jobs on the internet, you may not be able to afford a visa (our main topic), but this income will remain above the majority of Thais, especially if you convert $ into THB The situation in developed countries is different: In many countries, an immigration of workers has been set up to modernize the countries (to redo the roads, to create cities etc). This is also what happens here with Cambodian or Burmese workers. But in the developed countries, these workers now enjoy the same rights as the locals and the problem is that we are in the 3rd generation, that the vast majority is an under-qualified population while the factories are closing and are relocated or products purchased in China. This creates unemployment that is very difficult to absorb. Here the rights of foreigners ... I will not expand on the subject but anyway we are not allowed to access plenty of jobs which are for Thais only. The current government likes to stick out its chest and suggest that they can very easily do without us. But this is false. Firstly because we consume more than the Thais (apart from those who are over-indebted) and then because many who are married with children must also provide for the needs of the family in the very broad sense when it is not the whole village. By changing our currencies into THB, we create money which is very good for the economy. It's like quality tourism. It makes me laugh a lot. So ok, now no more backpackers or farang kii niao (stingy) or Kii Nok (white trash). And what do you do with all your low-cost bungalows, your little restaurants at 4Othb a dish? You expropriate everyone to build luxurious residences and Blue Elephant restaurants on every street corner? As soon as the government sees the planes filling up, these speeches come out. But looking at the global economic situation, I doubt those planes will be full for very long. And it's not the Chinese who 1/ make organized trips and spend almost nothing on the spot and 2/ Also enter into a happy economic crisis and it's not tomorrow that they will come to replace us as they liked to proclaim it loudly and strong before the Covid crisis. Finally, if they kick out the foreigners who live there at the slightest financial concern, I wonder if the government will increase the salaries of all the employees who significantly increase their monthly incomes from the (very) lucrative racket organized against us. Starting with the immigration office in Changwattana !
  22. There was a time, not so long ago, I saw advertisements for agencies offering to "lend" the money you had to show to get the Retired Visa. From memory the price was 32,000 thb the first year and 16,000thb/year for renewal. Which makes it much more affordable. But in a post, it is said that the government asks to have the sum available longer and Mister Proton thinks that it is because of the people in overstay. It is perhaps on the contrary to fight against these agencies?
  23. Totally agree with that. At the beginning he might worry a lot and then with time, because he hasn't been cought he probably believes it's not such a big deal and he has plenty of time to solve it. From what I've read, he's now bragging about this situation, which shows that in his mind, he has nothing to fear anymore...They've never caught him before, why now? I call it playing Russian roulette, but everyone does what they want.
