  1. Thank you very much. I am relatively new on this forum but you seem to be veteran with lots of answers for the rest of us ???? The reason I keep coming back to this question, I really don't want them to request my tax returns or any other financial or employment documentation to verify the income and such...that's just seems too much to disclose for a tourist visa. Not that I have anything to hide, but with recent news about mass security breaches and leaking of personal data of Thailand visitors online, I don't want to submit any paperwork with too much information to them.
  2. Can the OP just book a fully refundable real ticket? It will be more expensive of course, but he can refund it once he's in Thailand and finished jumping through all the hoops.
  3. Seems like I'm getting into a habit of resurrecting my old threads, and @ubonjoe seems to be the last commenter on may of them ???? Follow up: does anyone know what you put in the Employment box on the e-visa form if you are a self-employed contractor not working for any company? Will "Self-employed contractor/sole proprietor" be accepted with no issues? I don't know if they do any verification of the employment, in this case there is no company name for me to provide. I am sure there are others who have been in the same situation.
  4. I think I saw some other discussions on how to get around that. A fully refundable ticket should do the trick.
  5. Thank you for the input. So many posts about the authorities' incompetence around here, but sadly this is yet another example, posting flat wrong info on which thousands rely. So in answer to my own question I started in this thread, I'm thinking with this constant mess the TR option seems safer at the moment for those who plan to stay long. At least the TR information still officially states 60+30ext and there are no ambiguities there. Thanks again.
  6. Sorry to resurrect the March thread, but it seems there are changes to the exempt visa stay length. According to a blurb I see on https://thaiembdc.org/visas/ it says that the exempt stay cannot be extended anymore. Can someone confirm if that is true? Meaning if you want to stay more than 30 days, you have to get a TR visa now? Also what about the "covid extensions", are they history too?
