  1. No I’ve no knowledge on quality of cardiologists at this hospital just saw someone else post about the program on this forum.
  2. This link was posted on the forum a few days ago by Sheryl https://www.vejthani.com/packages-and-programs/cardiac-screening-package/ Could be a good option for you. The package looks good although they seem to be difficult to contact as i emailed them but no reply.
  3. On their website https://chulalongkornhospital.go.th/kcmh/en/dept/checkup-center/ it states 1. Individual health checkup. Pre- appointment 2 days in advance ( Not including Saturday and Sunday) via Email : checkup.chula-email removed For more information, please call 02 256 4863 ,02 256 4843 I sent an email to the email address on this website but after i sent the email i get email back saying the following Address not found Your message wasn't delivered to checkup.chula-email removed because the address couldn't be found, or is unable to receive mail. Looks like the email address they have on their website is incorrect Tried to call the phone number they provided before 3pm a few times but no answer on the phone.
  4. Was thinking of getting a health check up for my father early 70s no underlying health conditions that are known. Just thought i would be a good idea as has been a while. Was thinking king chulalongkorn as it would be much cheaper than the likes of Bumrungrad and less likely they try to sell unnecessary tests etc. Only question is do you know if you can book appointment with them if you are not already signed up to the hospital. I dont want him to have to go to the hospital sign up then make appointment to come back again another day to do the check up. Prefer if you can book in advance without being signed up to the hospital but not sure if possible? If not perhaps Bangkok Christian hospital would be the next best option or does anyone have any other suggestions for hospital to use for this? Thanks
  5. Not sure if I can post a link to yt video here so I will send you the link to video in pm
  6. I was watching a video the other day by a Dr I follow on yt Dr Brad Stanfield The most interesting part of the video was blood pressure. He said that a 140/80 blood pressure reading was now no longer good enough and we all should be aiming for a reading of 120/80. Of course other factors come into play so 140 might not necessarily be bad but the general idea was that 120 was better. Diet and exercise will be most important before any supplements some of the things he reccomended included 1. Omega 3 Fish oil 2. Psyllium husk 3. Creatine monohydrate The other 1 he mentioned was a low dose of melatonin but I guess melatonin would only be helpful for someone with poor sleep. Don’t think you can get melatonin in Thailand as far as I’m aware
  7. I am aware of those services but he never mentioned anything regarding him using that service.
  8. 9 months a year on visa exempt since 2017 i dont believe you never heard of a single person being able to get away with that. Valid point about visa exempt as oppose to setv since it currently offers same amount of days at present. However immigration will only let you get away with so many visa exempts per year before they ask you to get a visa thats 1 reason why people in Thailand for most of the year would still get the visa to decrease the chances of being denied at the airport for too many visa exempts.
  9. No flight tickets not required in the application. In fact there is nowhere in the application where you can upload flights tickets applying from the Uk. It asks you to enter your flight date and flight number but nowhere to upload the ticket. They did ask for additional documents for me showing a tax return so I simply uploaded tax return along with a letter from my accountant.
  10. Hi, Sorry yes you are correct i thought they had removed international insurance for uk customers but different part of their website still lets you purchase international health insurance
  11. Hi Sheryl, Apparently Cigna has just moved out of the Uk market. Just saw this on their website last week. Following the completion of a strategic review, Cigna Healthcare has ceased selling UK medical and dental products. Quotes will no longer be provided for these products.
  12. Thanks for the replies from everyone this is some useful information for me going forward Kind Regards
  13. Thank you thats useful to know that a bank or developer could help with this by sending it outside then back. Also if a developer is showing a certain price for a condo is everything negotiable in terms of price to bargain it down?
  14. Hi, Im in the process of looking at some condos to buy. I started doing some research online on what would be required to purchase and found out i need a foreign exchange transaction form (FET) showing that the funds were coming in from abroad to buy the condo. However in my case the funds will not be coming from abroad as the money came from within Thailand. So how is it possible to get the fet form from the bank if i already have the money in thailand which didnt come from overseas. So i visited a condo to take a look at the rooms they were selling and i started asking the sales agent about foreign exchange transaction form. Sales agent had no idea what i was talking about even when i pulled up google showing her what it was so couldnt get an answer on how that would be completed. Same situation in a well known shopping mall started asking the people within the mall about the fet form and she had no idea what it was and was looking down on me as if i was asking a strange question. As she just kept repeating no you just buy the condo despite me showing her multiple times that i need this form. Contacted a well known thailand condo developer company to ask them but they have been ignoring my question. Went into my Thailand bank account branch to ask my bank how i could get the form from them and the person in bank had never heard of such a form despite me showing them again what it was on google. So between banks and real estate companies its proving very difficult to get an answer on this. I dont want to leave a deposit or any money down incase i find out later that i need this form. Does anyone have any insight into this it would be much appreciated. My money is not coming from overseas to buy the condo the money is the money came from within Thailand would that make it more difficult? Thanks
  15. Hi , yes I am male. Ok thank you I will try the hot compress method for a few days to see how that goes. kind Regards
  16. Hi 1. I have no fever or any other symptoms 2. No cuts or sores anywhere 3. No bump on other arm or anywhere else 4. Soft when you move it and freely moveable. Also to note I showed it to a pharmacist in Bangkok a few days ago. The pharmacist said these words to me. sebaceous glands under the armpit. Inflammation possibly coming from an infected hair follicule in the armpit. Pharmacist said it was not coming from the lymph node. Pharmacist gave me some Fucicort cream to use twice daily but has been about 3 days now and feels much the same Thanks
  17. Hi Any hospital recommendations and what type of Dr to see in Bangkok for a small bump under skin of armpit? Thanks
  18. They wear face masks while driving bikes but no helmets no logic
  19. Make a fully refundable airline booking both Finnair and Klm have this option available you just pay a bit more to give you the option to cancel it later. Lots of hotels on Agoda come with free cancellation options some of them don’t take the payment until 48 hours before so in that case you will have it cancelled by that time anyway. I once only gave a week of booking in 1 of my applications for the special tourist visa they came back to me saying they needed the entire bookings when I gave it for the entire duration they approved it. A week of bookings might be sufficient for the metv but to stay on the safe side I would give them 2 months of bookings that payment won’t be taken until 48 hours before and can be cancelled for free
  20. I received myn from the British embassy in Bangkok just over a year ago. The visa I was on at the time was the Stv ( special tourist visa) when this visa existed during covid. If the tourist visa or Metv make a difference to obtain the letter I am not sure
  21. For Bangkok Bank its Certified copy of passport i have the document beside me now me now which i used 1 year ago to open my Thai bank account on a tourist visa. This was from the British Embassy in Bangkok. There is nothing on my document about my thai address. On the letter it says I do hereby certify that this is a true copy made by me of an original British passport presented to me by (Name), Identified as British passport number () The process was quick and simple in and out in 10 minutes at the British Embassy i believe the cost for them to verify the document was around 25 pounds. Once i handed the certified copy of my passport document from the British Embassy to the Bank thats all they needed and i had my Bank account opened in 15 minutes. Bangkok Bank are the only interested in tourists from my experience the rest you are wasting your time attempting so best to stick to Bangkok Bank. The process really isnt that difficult if you make an appointment and get that document from your embassy. The only cost is the embassy appointment but certainly a lot cheaper than paying an agent. I guess the only reason i can see to use an agent is if you are not going to be in Bangkok to be able to go to the embassy.
  22. Because it’s a requirement the bank asks for when opening a bank account on a tourist visa. It’s a certified copy of your passport I believe is the correct term. No point asking me why it makes a difference I don’t make the rules. I’m just trying to explain what you need to open a bank account on a tourist visa. Bangkok bank only the other banks wont look at tourists last time I checked.
  23. That’s wrong you dont need an agent. Heres what you need to do. Make an appointment with your embassy in Bangkok asking for a copy of authentication of your passport. Then take your passport to Bangkok Bank and they will open it no problems. Bangkok bank is the only bank that will do it as far as I know but it’s actually a very quick process if you bring that document from your embassy
  24. Much easier to just obtain a tourist visa before and receive 60 days no need to do the border run.
