My place has someone in the office all day facing the lobby and also security right at the door all night. They eyeball everyone coming or going. I used to work in an institutional setting so that's probably why it bothers me.
I'm thinking of getting a townhouse or house, but wanted to know if there were any condo's around like what I'm looking for.
In the Usa I had one with a seperate enterance for residents, so that would work as well.
OP, Austin Powers fan maybe....

Or interrupt the continuity of your permission of stay.
Not sure what interrupt means here? If you have a valid one year extension of stay and a valid one year rental contract and re-enter on a re-entry permit, do you have to do a fresh TM30 each time? Would 10 re-entries mean 10 TM 30 resubmissions?

Any issues with getting a re-entry permit at Suvarnabhumi, then getting a new passport while in home country, and then re-entering with fresh new passport and the cancelled one with the re-entry permit in it? Also any possible issues transferring non O visa and 12 month extension stamps into the new passport at a later date?

Does a dependent foreign child on a valid extension of stay tied to a parent's Non B(with work permit), or Non O (retirement) have to get a separate education visa, or can they enroll in a school with their dependent status?

2-3 Bedrooms in 30k price range, no private pool required and suitable for family.
Also is it possible to visit any of these estate's offices or enquire at security gate re. available villas; or is working through a real estate agent preferred?
Any advice much appreciated

Villa Market for a brick and mortar shop, or Lazada always has them. Can buy the canned Pinto beans and make your own in a pinch.
Will follow your pinto beans idea, some good recipes on the net, and easy enough to make

According to the online schedule, the England game tonight is on True Sports 2 & True 4U, in addition to any other Thai channels it may be on.
Not sure if TS2 is free-to-air for everyone, but I think T4U is.
Does anyone have an online link to which channels all games are on?
Thank you.

Totally agree. American sports the players dress as if they are going to war with full body armour. They are afraid of getting hurt......Big pussies. Now a game like rugby which is a real man's sport and now it has been shown a game for real women too. They rely on skill to play the game and do not need to wear full body armour. Americans have to use brute force to win games like American football ( played with the hands not their feet ) and ice hocky etc.
Not a fan of either sport but American football players are bigger, faster, stronger and way more athletic than rugby players. look at the list of NFL players who also won gold in Olympics track events,.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_National_Football_League_Olympians
Not sure if a rugby player has ever even competed in an Olympics track event.
American footballers definitely need the padding and equipment as the athleticism, speed and impacts are much higher level.

Looking for updated info on a good dentist for routine annual services such as check up, cleaning, and maybe 1 or 2 fillings. Good reliable services and reasonable price.
There are many past threads on implants, restorations cosmetic treatments etc, but not interested in that, only regular routine dental services.
Thank you for any advice

It would be a non-o visa based upon being the parent of a child attending school.
At the top of the the page I posted the link to it states this.
"Visa and Thailand Pass for Non-Thai nationals who are students of educational establishments in Thailand approved by Thai authorities, including their parents or guardians."
Thank you, I saw this wording, but am still confused what the actual visa would be called. Would it be something like "Non-O, Parent or Guardian of Educational Visa holder" or something similar? Trying to establish the exact name of the visa in order to find the correct application form for other countries. On some embassy websites, they show Non-O dependent/family, or Non-O education, but have never seen "Non-O parent or guardian" visa application linked to an Education visa?

It depends upon the embassy website that you are looking at.
This one includes the parent under the same heading as the child. https://thaiembdc.org/2020/07/11/visa_coe_education/
On others it would be shown as a family member of the person that has the non-ed visa.
Thank you for that link and information. Somehow, I still cannot see if they would issue the parent with a 90 day Non-O education visa, or 90 day Non-O family member visa. I see on other embassy websites stated that the the Non-O dependant family member visa is designed for dependants, with no mention of a parent of a student.

Hello neytil. I'm no expert sailor, in fact, I'm just a beginner. So to answer your question I went to the Hobie forum and one answer from "fusineng" was this from 5mph winds to 20 mph winds. With just the mainsail up I have a hard time getting any faster than around 5-6 mph (on gps) typically. In low wind under 8 mph (typical in Sarasota bay) it is not so fun, unless you like going 1.5-2 mph
One forum member said he has had it in winds up to 30mph. I'm using it more for the exercise and fishing more than the sailing aspect. But I like the idea that if I am sailing and the wind dies down to zip, I can still peddle or paddle the kayak back to shore. The price was 291,308 baht for the kayak and another 36,481 baht for the beach dolly. Not cheap!
Thank you very much for the info. I will check youtube as well, as I would like to see how it sails in say 25 knots.....

Well, just in case there is someone out there that might be interested in buying a Hobie Tandem Island sailing kayak, I finally located the new Hobie dealership company for Thailand. It's called Siam Watercraft and the main office is in Pathum Thani. The GM's name is Mark.
So, I finally have one now down here in Krabi. Life is good!
Looks nice. What is the wind range you can use this in? Also price?

. And you could then a apply for a single entry non-o visa for being their parent.
A guardian visa does not exist
Thank you. Would you happen to know the name of this non-o visa type for a parent, as the closest I can see is non O dependant which is kind of the opposite?

There is no written minimum age for a child to apply for a non-ed visa or a extension of stay based upon attending school.
One parent per child can apply for a non-o visa or a one year extension of stay based upon being the parent of a child attending school. To apply for the extension requires 500k baht in a Thai bank for 30 days for the first extension and then 90 days after that.
Ok thank you. So if starting the process from overseas, would the child application be for single 90 day non ed. And would the guardian parent apply for non O dependent 90 days single? Can't seem to see a guardian visa listed anywhere. Would the listed financial requirements be at time of applying overseas or when extending? could all of this be started in country by converting from tourist visas instead?

Is there any minimum age for education visa for expat child enrolled at international school or kindergarten? Would one of the parents be able to apply for a caretaker visa (not sure of visa type name) in such as case?
Thank you.

For a visa exempt entry you will use a TM87 form to apply for non-o visa.
The TM86 is to change of visa status when the entry was done with a tourist visa.
The is the requirments for a non-o visa application for retirment. https://bangkok.immigration.go.th/wp-content/uploads/2020/10/8-1.pdf
On the TM87 form, at the bottom, it states "Reason for application". Is it acceptable to fill this out with "Retirement" as the reason.

For the non-o visa application they will only want the page showing the 800k is in the bank for a couple of months.
And for the extension since it will be a new extension only the pages showing it has been in the bank for 2 months on the day you apply.
Thank you, that is helpful. Some banks now aggregate bankbook updates if inactive for a few months (such as when out of country). In such a case of inactivity, would immigration also request some sort of statement in addition to the bank letter?
Thank you for advice,.
