What is a farang immigration volunteer? Where did you meet him? Where is he from? What does farang even mean? The situation in Pattaya is ' not good'...NO. Its blooody brilliant compared to Europe, UK, and USA. As more people can travel again once they check out Pattaya they immediately make a plan to come back for another holiday OR IF POSSIBLE How to return here permanently. People who own property can rent out plus a pension or plus a bit of teaching or whatever. Its just so grim, negative and dreadful back home but I don't have the Covid-19 as an excuse not to travel.

Brighton is as expensive as London. It's a great town but run by greens and gays it's woke to the max. Like Pattaya you can get free or cheap gay sex but hetro sex is expensive. £1000 LT £200 ST One hour And SST £20-40. There are other cheaper seaside towns. Weston, Ramsgate and many others and like Margate hopefully becoming gentrified. BTW The people I know returning to the UK have done so with great reluctance...actually I don't know any..none. even dieing here is better than dieing in UK.

No the reality is not as you describe. What you describe is the jaundiced perception of someone who is a loser or suffering from depression. At the height of the season before covid Pattaya was getting millions of visitors and to suggest they are criminals is wrong and not true. As for garbage yes collection routes could be improved but they are as good as part of London. Pattaya is on of the most interesting cities in the world and the only truly cosmopolitan city in Thailand. Its has the bedrock foundation to be a major world city. Yes we lack art galleries, theatres, races courses and parks but people who dismiss Pattaya using the casual clichés of garbage and crime should look our own western cities riddled with gun violence, acid throwing and knife crime and in the UK an ineffectual, corrupt police force in cities where girl's aren't safe at night.

Oh I thought freedom of speech and les majesty were part of the thread too. But if not one reason is that Australia is a joyless, one dimensional nation- grey monotonous and bland where grown men in tight shorts chasing a pigs bladder encased in leather passes as culture. The men are dour and taciturn frequently believing to show any other emotion is effeminate or gay. The women did not improve under the influence of feminism and became even more strident. The sense of optimism, and belief of being the 'Lucky country' so prevalent 40 years ago has been drained away by the relentless lies of the woke/ PC/ environmental/ nanny state and feminist lobbies. Freedom of speech and thought has also been impacted on. So on a person level there is more fun and freedoms here for Australians and other nationalities especially men.

The blind are also trained to do massage here. Wat Po in Bangkok used to be considered the best quality cheap massage in Bangkok. These growth of these western ' beauty parlours are relatively new. Also aimed at the tourist market but that is no bad thing necessarily. My very discerning Thai friends always reference 200 baht for their massages. There is no such thing as a do gooder trap. As for tourist trap- in many areas of service in Thailand there is no such thing at least not in a bad way. 30 years ago here I was a bit doubtful of taking up services offered to tourist but was pleasantly surprised at how great things turned out and what excellent value for money things were and great fun.

Will they live in? Will they cook food? Will they do toilet duties? Will they be expected to bathe Will they be provided with food? The job description and duties need explanation
