  1. Business class private carriage by train is less hassle in the end. No checking in and out, no security or queues, no painful journeys between city and airport
  2. For whom? For what purpose? From where? For how long? What passport?
  3. Sick as a parrot! This phrase originates from Parrots being disease carriers. I named my parrot Onan because it kept spilling its seed.
  4. Well it's very nice of you to promote one particular agency but I choose not to nor would I take a recommendation just because it was given on line. The agents I deal with are Thais, Thai women, are very efficient. I use a different one for my DL, my visa and and my passport renewal- thats three different agents. I avoid the agents with expat men having found them to be a bit rude and abrasive and if I'm honest er...'the tattooed crim type' to whom I'm not inclined to trust my affairs...
  5. The doctors in public hospitals will be more experienced or more likely justb the same doctors from the private hospitals. My understanding is that most doctors at private hospitals also put in work at public hospitals.
  6. It's progressing now but I don't know any details but the idea is not uncommon. There is also a train restaurant in Bangkok and maybe Pattaya
  7. Yes this is the case at hospitals too I found. They wanted a to do a checkup first including checking for mouth cancer before letting the Oral Hygienist do the cleaning. This required two sessions.
  8. I don't understand the remark. Thailand is the most easy straightforward place to live in for a foreigner. There is no nonesense compared to Indian Bureaucracy, British pettiness, Arabian rules and regulations, American culture, French...etc.
  9. It depends what you are using the agent for: just doing the running around and paperwork and queueing or borrowing the money also. If its the latter I would allow two weeks but would ask the agent - remember you have to open a bank account and make an appointment for you, the IO and the agent to meet, sign documents, take photos etc. Then wait a day for completion. But you should check with the agent what the timescale is - definitely do not leave it to the last minute.
  10. I wish I'd known about the dance in Udon Thani. My only potential record was 13 orgasms with 11 different girls in a 20 hour period in Bangkok around 2009
  11. When the IR turns you out its irrelevant what your status is because they distrupt you and your activities, prevent your organisation from functioning for about two years and cause great expense. Obama was on record as approving using the IR in a partizan way I believe but I don't know the results of the IR raids or who was or was not prosecuted.
  12. It's sometimes useful to get a less partisan view of recent events and look at the Mar a lago raid and its broader implications for the USA. There is nothing to celebrate when an ex president gets raided whether the raid transpires to be justified or not- its a disaster - whoever is the ex president in question and as outlined in the article- A dangerous moment in American history https://www.spiked-online.com/2022/08/11/the-mar-a-lago-raid-is-a-dangerous-moment-for-america/
  13. Is the F35A any good? Isn't it just the old F15 with an extra seat?
  14. The Caliphate is a Swedish 2019 production but actually based on the story of three Muslim schoolgirls from East London who left their homes to join ISIS in Syria. The story was considered too sensitive for the BBC to make the drama about their flight and subsequent events. An excellent production, gripping, dramatic with very good casting and storyline construction.
  15. He is the democratically leader of Thailand. He has more right to be in power than the current military junta. He was an excellent leader without the airport and RTS would not have been completed. He medical and welfare policies were fair and reasonable and he was no more corrupt than other Thai leaders and less corrupt than subsequent uniformed leaders. Thaksin was a great leader
  16. It's not really a tourist issue. It's the locals who want to stay out late especially around Walking Street in Pattaya. Same with the night clubs in Bangkok before the clampdown - some clubs didn't close till 7am and Swing used to open at 9am. I remember when Thermaes used to close at 7am.
  17. I had the two procedures done at BPH AND That little Sci-fi camera. It depends which city you are in.
  18. It always used to be 4am. Still is in Pattaya. You talk about people driving home drunk- perhaps you shouldn't judge people by your own moral standards or do you assume your standards are higher than others peoples. With public transport so cheap people don't need to drunk drive. Anyway that is irrelevant to changing the licence laws of a capital city. Currently the laws are childish and ruinous to the night economy.
  19. Bout the same. As for kids I never thought they liked shopping!
  20. Oh I stopped believing all that anti Trump propaganda years ago. If he had committed a crime that could be proves he would be prosecuted. Until he is found guilty by a legal court of law any assertions about guilt are hysterical nonsense made by political opponents and enemies . As for the this latest raid - The Democrats are notorious for using state institutions to attack their opponents as Obama harnessed the authority of the IR to harras people. Biden and his son are criminals by your standards but like Trump they havent been prosecuted.
  21. Trying to pretend physica violence is something different by labelling corporal punishment does not make it less violent or more moral. Its just hypocritical. As for damaging attacks on on bones in the hands ' a rap across the Knuckles ' that's cruel and dangerous. Children's bones are still forming and to attack them with the intention of causing pain is repellent. If you as an adult are prepared to hit in face, head or ears or prepared to have your hands hit with a sharp piece of wood then be quiet. You have zero moral authority to attack children with weapons or with your bare hands. Only a bully would want to. Many people who brutalised and beaten had their spirits broken and came to accept cruelty as normal and they are the bullies who want payback and the right to hurt children but not me. The physical abuse of children is not the job of a teacher. Only a failure as a teacher and as a human being would deliberately inflict pain on a child in an effort to control them. I have worked in schools in South London, Burma, Thailand, Libya, Kuwait and NEVER would the physical abuse, hitting, spanking, strapping or caning of little boys or girls on their hands or buttocks be allowed.
  22. Corporal punishment used to be allowed. So did slavery, so did sending children up chimneys. All manner of cruelty existed in the past. That does not make it right, moral or ethical now. Only the the mentally sick think hit children is acceptable. Do you as an adult thunk I should hit you? No of course not. How can it possibly be acceptable to beat children if you won't accept being beaten yourself? Because children can be bullied because they are smaller and weaker. If you best children you will normalise violence and you are a case in point. You want to spread the violence you experienced as a child. Well I don't. The caning, whipping and strapping of little boys and girls hides a mess of perversion. When your teacher beat your little boy bottom how do you know he didn't have an erection? BDSM, sado masochist sex, the use of canes and whips in sex - where do you think it comes from? Its not just an issue of sex but why should an adult be brutalised into hurting children? Because this is what you propose that I as a teacher should HURT and scare a child. Sorry mate. I DONT HURT CHILDREN. BECAUSE ITS WRONG. . I have worked in schools in South London, Asia and the Middle East and hurting children was never part of my job.
  23. Anybody turning into oncoming traffic is automatically responsible for checking the road is clear. Any accident caused by such a manoeuvre is the fault of that driver.
  24. I know. And I don't need to be told. But thanks for keeping people properly informed.
