  1. Sukhumvit is a major road- a massive highway not a small street like yensabai. How did you complain to the police? Did you identify anybody? How did the police respond? In what form?
  2. Overseas trip or not Covid is definitely sweeping through Europe notably Britain and Portugal and its definitely back in Pattaya.
  3. Covid is currently sweeping through Pattaya and is also raging in Britain and Portugal.
  4. Covid is back in full force- better to have a lock down.
  5. No. Most adult Thais do not behave like this. The people referred to in this article are the same people who come to London to race power cars and abuse the local area. It's nothing to do with peace and quiet being held 'sacred' That hyperbole is just yet another attempt, one of a constant stream, to insult and demean Thailand and the the Thai people. In fact peace and quiet is an important part of life here.
  6. 'Farang' is a derogatory term because it does not differentiate between races or cultures. Its a catch all lazy term used by uneducated and ignorant people. The fact that people dont use it with racist intent does not make it any less so. People had to be educated that many common terms were racist, do I need to list them all here? My more educated and polite Thai friends never use the term anymore.
  7. Woke people defined themselves as 'woke'. Woke is a destructive cult. It promotes division through identitarian ideas and the fallacy of intersectionalism.
  8. I had to stop because of the vile bratty son. There are however three other great family based shows - Mum, Motherland and Outnumbered are all excellent but different. I had high hopes for Breeders but had to stop watching it for fear of giving my TV 'the back of my hand'!
  9. Sherwood, as in Sherwood Forest of Robin Hood fame, is a great new, multi layered murder mystery thriller spanning the decades between the great miners strike of 1984, which saw pitched battles with ten of thousands of men fighting viscously around the picket lines of the northern minefields but its set in the present day. There was dirty politics aplenty, violence and extremism which rented communities apart and and in some ways tore the country apart irrevocably changing Britain and British politics. This bitter history is the backdrop for the investigations into a series of gruesome murders 40 years later currently in a small ex mining community in Nottinghamshire. It's a well written and well acted production with sudden twists and turns and sharp violence. The woke casting doesn't spoil it but it is a distraction as are the flash backs to the violent fighting on the picket lines between the predominantly white working class miners and the massed ranks of the white police force where miraculously, the demographics of both sides has been changed to meet the ideological needs of the liberal proponents of multiculturalism and their aspirational future which they hope to achieve apparently by misrepresenting the past. However, this is a great show with great depth and well worth viewing.
  10. 'Booking a holiday' Dunno. But now is the time to consider visiting Thailand.
  11. 'A true democracy '? There are none really but we need a place that is more democratic than now with less injustice, less poverty etc.
  12. A new wave of Covid-19 is coming- its already here and cases are rising - there is no normal
  13. No surprise. Dope smokes are extremely law abiding and only criminalised by the abusive drug laws
  14. Tiger zoo, Buddha mountain, Silver lake, terracotta warriors, sheep farm. In Jomtien restaurants, bars, big Buddha at Pratumnak with beautiful park, Japanese health spars gyms, soi 4 Pratumnak roller skating, Dongtan Beach, Dine and Dance at sandbar by the Sea, Berney music lounge Pratumnak Soi 5. Beautiful Cozy Beach Restaurant to enjoy. Night markets, large nurseries, new shopping malls, the Royal marina, etc etc
  15. Please define what a digital nomad is and some of their characteristics
  16. The traders make the beach great and help add income to the poorer Thais. Let's hope this authoritarian, short sighted nonesense stops soon.
  17. Bolt is usually excellent. I use them daily
  18. What are the best Italian restaurants in Pattaya? We are spoilt for choice but what are the best top ten and what are their signature dishes?
  19. "Why do people move to Thailand and Complain How Much Things Cost?" Most people don't in any particular numbers. Rising prices is a valid conversation point all round the world and is not that common among newly arrived expats. Why do people complain about anything? Because they are concerned. Many people move to Thailand and comment how cheap things are.
