Electric Tuk-Tuks costing as little as 60,000 baht ready by October

If solar is expanded it will eat into the 22 percent of coal based generation. LPG is still the main expensive generation source. -

If they prove reliable good move. Local production good move. Why some people harp on about the lack of sound from electric vehicles is amusing. Many, if not most, modern cars are near silent at nominal urban speeds anyway unless some clown goes to the trouble of making them a noisy variation of pollution. -
I would not say that the new "Thaksin wave" is peculiar or even significant. I see it as a convenient reference. Thaksin used the insight gained by his Master's Degree in Criminology to manipulate the weakest and poorest by way of populist tactics to elevate himself and his allies to a position that compromised the old established elite. The pushback from that outed him and in the end result of the confusion Yingluck managed to insert herself by way of residual populist policy appeal. Problematic was that both were not immune to the scrutiny and public revelations of not so covert corruption. This provided an opportunity for social agitation that culminated in yet another intervention by way of a coup. The resulting Prayut Government initially held some dubious appeal with promises of massive reforms that if had eventuated may have enhanced any genuine wide spread public credibility. Unfortunately that was rapidly exposed to be a facade. Now the current regime is under extreme pressure from every sector due to the impact of the pandemic with economic fallout effecting many of the elite, new or old. Were it not for the pandemic it is likely Thailand would continue to have the current style of Governance it has now. Sadly the political situation is becoming justifiably agitated again but in a way that I doubt even Thaksin would willingly poke his head into ! But that does not mean he is not willing to poke it with a toxic stick from afar even for the sake of retaliation !

And what about the lower echelon of medics who have followed the dictate of the "top" Doctors? The more adamant call for such specific protection suggests or even indicates some dubious decisions/advice was/has been involved that has left Thailand severely compromised in terms of prudent management of the extended impact of the pandemic which if revealed in detail could be found to have abandoned ethical boundaries in favour of ?

It is not so uncommon that people who retire with the thinking in mind that it will be great can get depressed. I knew two guys that harped on about being able to fishing and hunting and golfing and and.... Both has good health. one was married. Had the boat, the time, to do it all. But the security/ routine of many decades of going to an office job was so ingrained that they could not cope with the absence of it. One shot himself after 2 years and the other electrocute himself after 3 years. If you add the self imposed disorientation of relocating to a new country I would not dismiss concern for his wellbeing . -
Incorrect. Watties moved that product to Australia for about 10 years then moved it back to NZ around 2012. Took some of Heinz production with them.

Thailand reports daily record of 235 new coronavirus deaths
Nojohndoe replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
And there seems to be little mention in depth in general media about it. Given the extensive use and high percentage of people fully vaccinated with Pfizer it might be a sensitive topic? -
I know a person who worked in the plant making Watties tomato sauce when it was made in Australia. He saw what went into it. Would not eat it . Nice plump fresh looking tomatoes were only as close as the label as the contents got.

Be aware that if the battery is disconnected for a long period of time the internalized battery that keeps the ecu processor active may also be discharged. Which if so may mean at first startup again it may do some strange things until the presets re-establish. Same thing can be done deliberately by connecting the battery leads together (battery completely isolated)for a while if there is a glitch in the electronic control functions. There are online instructions to properly "re-educate" the system for most makes and models once the battery is re-installed.

Flickering Electric Throughout The House

Twice have has similar issue. Both times the fix was PEA tracing it to an arcing swing up pole fuse. Second time they replaced the entire unit which had been fried and oxidized. The whole street was happy both times but we were the only ones who complained to local PEA ! -
Because Thailand is very protective of the Jasmine varieties and the many hybrids locally developed there will be a fear of random contamination by such imports of viable seed. Changes in climate have been forcing research into even more hybrid development to compete with that factor as well as a shift in consumer preference. Problematic is that too many small growers still stick to what they prefer to eat ( hard rice) which even in excess of their own need for consumption sells for less. Jasmine rice of the past used to be much more aromatic than the hybrids are now which have been developed with disease resistance and greater yield. Unfortunately that has not so successfully been to the satisfaction of the global market. Many countries have strict regulatory controls on agricultural products that are not necessarily intended to create trade monopolies but to protect the integrity and standardization of an export product.

Slow vaccine roll-out forcing Swedes in Thailand to go home
Nojohndoe replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
I am reminded of the Black Adder series. Ok ,Ok ,Baldrick preferred turnips ! But he always had a cunning plan. Running the gauntlet of international travel compared to careful travel to BKK to obtain a vaccination? Hobson's choice or? -
India has been found to have and admitted to contravening WTO agreements by exceeding rice production subsidies set at 10% by paying out over 13% by invoking a "peace clause" as justification. In addition there are the urea subsidies that pump out greater volume but low quality rice from India. The genuinely poor wrinkly older generation that annually is obliged to contribute to a controlled export product in Thailand is on the wane.

Along with other agricultural "price guarantees" the rice subsidy has been in place a long time. That and payments to small land holders growing rice. Why is it that the subject has suddenly evoked reference to the Yingluck debacle? The reality is that this "guaranteed" price is never paid to the actual farmer but instead to the intermediary buyers who often screw the little guys by paying half that price! Never mind that now people are free to find independent markets. In most cases it is way beyond the capacity of small producers. .

Israeli scientist says COVID-19 could be treated for under $1/day

Move over Ivermectin ! New kid on the block (except it has also been around a long time) is a common cheap medication prescribed to reduce/block cholesterol levels. Claims I have read suggest a 70% reduction in symptoms or viral load or... Given that the obese are among those cited to be at extreme risk yet are also likely to be prescribed such medication already I am more than a little perplexed. https://www.dnaindia.com/health/report-cholesterol-medicine-fenofibrate-reduces-covid-19-infection-70-says-uk-led-study-fenofibrate-2904579 -

Fair enough on all accounts as told. You can probably understand my questions were based on the wider question of social responsibility....which too many selfishly ignore. However I do wonder if you have a return of symptoms without knowing what time frame you refer to overall that you may need consider the possibility of "long covid" and all the ramifications of it?
