Excuse me if I interrupt the other topic but would just like to say that here in my north east vicinity there is no excitement brewing about being able to annoy each other with inappropriate dousings of water. Trafficking does not necessarily mean cross border either. Many countries have significant numbers of children and young teens that just get added to the list of "missing persons" who if found at some later time who have been sexually exploited while environmentally imprisoned. I don't feel the need to explain my perspective further but I hope you understand it regardless of agreement or not.

In those instance where females are "trafficked" into prostitution it is part of that side of the industry distinct from the "act" of prostitution. In a past era of life South East Asian I was involved in a couple of "rescues" of very under aged girls. They were being prostituted but were not prostitutes. They were sex slaves.

In essence that is how it is ! The sad and sick aspect is that yet another population falls victim to the script of power players. Populist propaganda that glosses over and obscure the determining factors that in one way or other has led led to this situation that has evoked so much more emotional reactivity than that over the death and destruction imposed on multiple other nations. Outright lies and false imagery to support the illusion the Ukraine was/is a "democratic" nation. The truth is Zelensky has defended his position to remain by using the very same tactics Putin is accused of ! Even the public illusion that the NATO nations are now shocked and just coming to terms etc etc is pathetic when the reality is that since many months ago when Russia started to move military assets to the border of Ukraine so did they! Putin has no intent to listen to Zelensky ! He wants a signed sealed and delivered assurance that the US led NATO Alliance will not now or ever co-ordinate any further military advantage of military power directly on to it's (Russia's) borders on any front including the Ukraine. It is actually just that simple. So it leaves the question Putin has been asking until he lost patience " Why not?" If is so many try to suggest that if Putin is obliged in that demand what will stop him ? Again an easy answer. His demand is met with a reciprocal assurance, in writing, signed sealed and delivered, that existing territories that desire independence are entitled to do so so long as consensus is established and acknowledged. Most would be unaware there are many such territories outside of the Ukraine separatist regions. Now the UK is leading (Maybe by the nose? ) other countries to petition the IWC(C) over allegations of war crimes by Russia. Please note that the USA is not a participant because it has long declined to sign into such an organization and thus considers itself immune to any such jurisdiction.. The perception being fed wholesale to the world that this issue is a simple twitch in the mind of Putin need reassess their comprehension of the greater complicated reality involved in corporate dictate and geopolitical monopolies.

It may be that in terms of viable "agricultural contractor" capacity the opportunity does/ is beginning to exist for those prepared to transport to and from areas where second/ multiple annual crops are possible. A few years back I noted that at times there were almost "convoys" of especially the larger harvesters moving across from central Thailand to the northeast for the seasonal flush. I am not sure if these larger machines are any less vulnerable to damage but that despite that any earnings overall help offset purchase debt rather than them parked up in downtime. Rice harvesting being very dependent on "window of best opportunity" and so given the undeniable difficulty in procuring manual workers for the task there is more and more reliance being put on mechanical harvesting. Problematic of course is the demand exceeds capacity during that short window. Entrepreneurial individuals often invest in some worn down used machine that proves unreliable, inefficient due either to unskilled operation or simply unfit anymore to achieve purpose or both which I have seen leave seed on the ground that if to remain viable through to the next growing season is more than double capable of competing with any attempt at the sowing of superior seed.

From observing the operating conditions ( in local Isaan ) where the traditional paddy format is usually small requires the harvesters to cope with frequent turning, major variations in wet conditions, bucking and diving over paddy field embankments while trying not to miss or crush crop. All of theses cause rapid deterioration the mechanical wear and tear because even the smaller machines are designed for crop terrain with consistently larger dimensions and conditions. Track damage is common, also bar and cutter which leads to jam ups which in turn stress the feed auger etc. Promotional material that attempts to sell these machines always shows them operating in scenarios that rarely resemble the reality in Thailand. It needs a shift in the crop farmer's understanding traditional concepts are not altogether compatible with machinery.
