Taken out by a dog ! it can happen so easily !
Kiwithl replied to CharlieH's topic in Motorcycles in Thailand
Yes. Frequently. Usually small yappy things. One in particular. Unfortunately it hasn't gone under the wheels yet. A little swerve to help is tempting but I don't want to tempt fate. -
My kid goes to an Anubaan like this. What does Anubaan mean literally? It's used for kindy, a school, a medical clinic, a midwife (I think)... P1 up is a bit old for tears during a test though. My nieces and nephews just take the test days off (with full support from parents). Saves tears I guess? Poor little didums. (They're P6 and highschool, not kindy).

Hope the recruits for Saudi Arabia read and understand all this before they go. Also that gaining freedom enough to go to embassy may not be straightforward.

Marriage extention to 60/90 day visa?
Kiwithl replied to Kiwithl's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Is there a covid extension available when marriage extention expires? To extend 1 year as parent of Thai child does the other parent need to agree or sign anything? -
Marriage extention to 60/90 day visa?
Kiwithl replied to Kiwithl's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Thank-you. I thought you meant wife would have to be there. -
My Isaan wife (and her mother) occasionally point out to other Thai people from Isaan or elsewhere, be they relatives, friends or passing acquaintances, that our daughter can speak three languages; Thai, Lao and Farang. In this case Lao means Thai Isaan, Lao dialect, Farang means English. Around here the local language and/or dialect is always referred to as Lao by everyone. I have heard it referred to as Isaan language but very, very rarely.

Marriage extention to 60/90 day visa?
Kiwithl replied to Kiwithl's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Thank-you. I arrived in Thailand on retirement visa. When this expired I got a marriage extension for 12 months. I extended this for another 12 months. I haven't left Thailand since first arrival on retirement visa. I have not ever applied for 60 day extention to visit wife or child so this should be possible, is that correct? But if I apply for 60 day extention to visit wife or child my wife must be there at Immigration Office with me, is that correct? Is there any other type of extention available without wife's involvment? Just so when I go to Immigration I have some idea of what should/may be available. Thanks again. -
Marriage extension expires soon. No 800k or income to change to retirement. What visa could I change to to give me time to arrange flight out of here and quarantine on arrival in NZ? If it's even possible as NZ has some sort of lottery system for mandatory quarantine on arrival. Is some kind of 60 or 90 day visa or extention available? My Thai daughter is 6 yo. I believe her (Thai) mother has to sign something to allow an extention as parent of Thai child. Is that correct?

I haven't used it for pain relief but 'they' say it can be similar to mild opioid medicine without the addictive properties. It's also a natural leaf not a manufactured chemical so it couldn't/shouldn't hurt to try it and see if it works for you. Can chew and swallow raw leaf. Can boil it and drink the 'soup'. Can tear up the leaves into a cup and pour on boiling water just like tea. Chew and swallow the leaves after you've drunk the tea. Can add honey and/or lemon to taste. Red vein is better/stronger than white vein. Be aware that as a natural product strength and/or efficacy can vary from leaf to leaf just as one lettuce or tomato may taste better than another. I am not a doctor. This is not medical advice. Just trying to be helpful.

If there was loud music I wonder if the wife of murdered man and/or girlfriend of injured man told them to stop, now! People want to sleep, go to work in morning... (I've been told once or twice and did as I was told). Or perhaps the two victims are the type to disregard even their spouses advice/orders? I know some farangs would tell their wife/gf to shut the fruck up or perhaps fruck off beech and continue to annoy others. Obviously in this case I have no idea...

2005 model. Almost 180,000 km. I am 2nd owner. Only 1 or 2000 km by me. Maintenance, who knows, but drives quite well. Slight oil seep near inlet manifold, uses clutch fluid, gearbox oil was black like old engine oil. I've replaced air, fuel and oil filters and changed engine, gearbox and diff oils. Just passed the stringent road tax/por lor bor test. Not smoky or noisy. Thought new air and fuel filter might help starting the engine. It cranks for ages before starting when cold. Even heating glow plugs 6 times before cranking doesn't help. White smoke, unburnt fuel, symptoms of glow plug problems. Starts fine when hot, runs well. Not fuel pump I think. Searching for glow plugs I have also seen heating units? for diesel engines, appear to be a few wires and a relay or something. Check relay. Ok, if I can identify it. Don't have multimeter though. Found HKT glow plugs for 100 each. Genuine or fake? One of the problems with the modern world... They should last ages. Ok. They can pack it in any time. Ok. A bit like spark plugs in that regard. Deep socket yet to buy. Check power is going to them. Yes, of course. So I need a multimeter? Or is there another way? Advice and thoughts (helpful ones) welcome, please.

My first ever diesel engine needs new glow plugs. About how much should they cost? Three auto supply shops near me (50 km away) don't have them. Lazada has 95B each (Mazda brand) or 250B each (HKT brand). Good reviews for both. Please understand; I've never bought glow plugs before so know nothing about them except their function.

"...a drunk dude smoking cannabis, this may lead to an explosive cocktail..." Molotov cocktail? What is the connection? Oh, I just got it! Drunk dude has bottle from drinking alcohol and matches or lighter from smoking cannabis. What about petrol? Or will he use his alcohol? Sorry, don't get it after all.
