Luxembourg family demands justice after fatal road accident
sadmoneysnow replied to snoop1130's topic in Phuket News
If this was a first world country, that Russian lady would be in big trouble. Thailand should be ashamed for this lack of justice -
As others have said, I think you will be able to enter at Padang Besar without any issue. The immigration lady there didn't ask me any questions, let me in with a TR from Penang, and I have extensive history here as a tourist.

I don't think you understand how the checkpoints work here. The RTP know that people breaking the law will try to avoid a checkpoint so they place them behind a blind turn. If the other side of the checkpoint is exposed they will place an officer on a motorcycle 200 meters out to pull over anyone that U turns. Lastly, checkpoints that are examining urine are very uncommon in Phuket so the people going through may have thought it was a normal checkpoint.

Thank you guys for the recommendations. I think I will provide them with a ticket from HCM to Phuket and Phuket to Penang. That should be sufficient. I am slightly worried about using the TR visa when entering at the airport as I have been here on Visa exempt + covid visa and 2 visa exempts at land borders. About 600 days.

On the website it says a "Round trip ticket". I have a ticket from HCM to Penang, Malaysia and a return flight from Phuket to Penang. I am going to take a mini van from Penang to Hat Yai to enter Thailand. So I technically don't have a "Round trip ticket". Thank you in advance. I have never gotten a TR visa in HCM before.

Visa Exempt entry at land borders
sadmoneysnow replied to sadmoneysnow's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
I have never obtained a TV from PP. I know it's about a 4 day processing time for the visa but other than that is it difficult? Do they scrutinize your application a lot? That's another good idea about Laos. I might fly to Udon Thani and go there. I thought Cambodia is probably more fun though -
Do land borders deny people trying to get Visa Exempt stamps if they have been in Thailand a long time? I know some borders want travelers to not to do a same day or 1 day turn around to prevent visa runners from making their days busy. I will either get a TR visa in Phnom Penh or try my luck and just head to Ban Pakkard with no visa.

I decarbed with my hotplate set to 120 C for 45 minutes. The herb was put in a metal bowl on top of the hotplate, I stirred it every 10ish minutes. It was dry and crumbly after the 45 minutes. Then I set the hotplate to 110 C. I put a half cup oil, half cup of water, and 14 grams decarbed herb in the bowl to infuse.

I'm posting this again because I hope it helps someone. I just want to recommend anyone in Thailand that wants edibles to make it themselves. You only need a few cooking items and ingredients. The edible makers in Thailand are super greedy and it's too expensive. They are making edibles from brick weed and selling it at a 100x markup. It's not hard to extract the THC into butter or oil. Yesterday, I infused 14 grams of green crack with a half cup of coconut oil. The edibles were crazy strong. I bought the 14 grams from shopee (total cost 140 baht for 14 g's)

I'm thinking about getting the dynavap or XMAX v3. Leaning toward xmax v3 for ease of use. I have a pax 2 and arizer solo back home, I hope the xmax doesn't disappoint. If any one knows a good plug for larger quantities (oz or more) let me know. ????

Visa run, Padang Besar
sadmoneysnow replied to thaiasia's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Hi, so you exited thailand, entered malaysia, exitied malaysia, then went to the Thai IO to get stamped in but they told you to stay in Malaysia for 3 days? They told me the same thing when I did a visa run to Padang. I did not know you could bribe them though -
Entering Thailand after deportation
sadmoneysnow replied to cecilie Hansen's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
I think it's only sex and money, which is why male IO officers may give better results -
I decided to do a visa run from Phuket to Padang Besar. Since I did it on my own the total cost was 1600 THB (bus, van, hotel, food). I have been in Thailand over a year on a visa exempt stamp with multiple covid extension. I went on a bus from Phuket to Hat Yai. Then van from Hat Yai to Padang Besar. Leaving Thailand was pretty simple In Padang Besar I go to my hotel, eat a meal, then go to sleep. Once I wake up, I exit Malaysia and walk back to Thailand. The place where you get stamped in is the same as where I was stamped out. The IO officer looks over my passport and tells me that I need to do 2-3 nights in Malaysia if I want a visa exempt entry, not one night. If I had a tourist visa already then I could just go straight in. I talk to him only in Thai and say that I thought one night is enough and I would be able to get the 45 visa exempt stamp, I asked him if I needed to pay and he said no. After we talk for a little bit he tells me that I can go this one time ครั้งเดียว. Relieved, I get stamped back into Thailand. I would not try to use this border again unless I actually planned to spend 2-3 days in Malaysia. I then start the journey back to Phuket. After crossing the bridge into Phuket, 4 police officers enter the bus. They talk to a few of the people on the bus ( I'm not sure about what, maybe they asked for ID too ). Then one officer that made eye contact with me as he passed my seat asked to see my passport. He looks at my visa to make sure I am not overstaying, the first time I have had my visa status spot checked while in the country. He hands my passport back, the police exit, and we continue to Phuket

I am currently on a visa exempt stamp with many covid visa extensions. I am looking to get an Education visa to study Thai for 1 year. The school I am interested in told me that since I have been in Thailand for more than 1 year I must leave and re enter the country, only then can I get the ED visa. Is this legitimate? I can do the visa run but would prefer not to as it takes time and also I don't want to have any issues getting back into the country given that I have already stayed a while. Thank you!
