I got a taste of Thailand playing cricket in the Chiang Mai international 6's in '93 and spent a few days in Pattaya. Went off back home and did what needed to be done until '06 and started partying in Pattaya 3 or 4 times a year. Came back in 2013 to live. East Pattaya, Soi Khaotalo has so much to offer. Wine, women, song....if only they were open????????. Why do people enjoy bagging Pattaya, .......bad experiences?

This thread is supposed to be about Pattaya. Seems to have been lost somewhere.
-
Still seems like most have missed the Pattaya question. This was a question regarding Pattaya, not covid. Please stay on track.

Yes. My wife has a doctors certificate. Try waving that in front of someone who has gone off their brain.....good luck.

Long Time Lurker Yes, it would be good if they read the OP. Perhaps they would understand the meat in the message.

Wow! I created something that went 5 pages. I am in awe! It's good to be a Newbie.

Robblok. Where do you get your information from? Amazing!

MRJ2U/Fairynuff Do you not understand that not everyone can safely risk a jab? My wife has a medical condition and has been medically advised (not by facebook) not to be jabbed. She and I are not "anti-vaxxers". We are just trying to live our time. Yes, I have been jabbed and waiting for 2nd. My part of trying to keep the family/village safe or away from hysteria.

Walker88. Sadly I agree. A mate of mine in Aus is still paying money to his Thai honey. His Aus wife either knows nothing or stays shtrum. And he tells me Thais are stupid. I say Thais are not stupid. Uneducated, possibly yes, but not stupid. We are what we are. The elders in my village are now <deleted> scared of me as a farang with a possible virus. Time for me to move. Cheers

Math and media hysteria have no relationship.

Hi Redwood1, Yup, I got your first comment and let the keyboard ramblers roll. I pretty much reckon your comment succinctly summed it up. 1=2=3. ☆Simples.

Hi thaibeachlovers. Fair call. Good to see you understand my question. So many others seem to bang the keyboard prior to engaging brain.

Just as I expected, the usuals came out in force. This thread was supposed to be about segregation in Pattaya. Can we please get back on track? The question is basically; Do we need a 2 tiered system vacccinated in Pattaya to allow us to walk the sois?

Ralf001 Totally agree with your comments. I guess some posters just need to get over themselves. A curfew may be dumb but many countries use it to control. No other reason, just to control. Thailand is no different.

Being a Aussie expat I sometimes keep a eye on the old country, more so in the last 12 months with virus happenings and family back there. Aus is now a country where you must ask govt if you can come and go, and that generally includes crossing states. Now they talk about vaccinated and not vaccinated rules. I would have thought this European idea was dead in the water? Errrrrrr....segregation does not work. Only leads to old car tyres being set on fire. Australia!! Making Thailand look good.....sheesh.... * Do we need "rules" in Pattaya and who would enforce them? (small brown envelope on my coffee table.)

Yes Nanaplaza. It's not rocket science to work out that restaurants etc must close well before curfew time so they can clean and get home. Some people need to perhaps get over themselves.
