Yes, in a forensic toxicology lab.
Sure you can, but most probably not worth anything since the ash probably heavily contaminated from other pollutants in the cremation process as well as heat destroying chemical traces.

Long time ago. I recently saw some pictures of Nai Harn beach from 2012. Unbelievable how filthy and trashy the best beach on the island has become is merely a decade.

The crux of the conversation was based on the Governor's focus on reducing motorcycle-related road accidents
Such as being run over by an apparently drunk van driver running a red light and police not even lifting a finger. What a bunch of hypocrits.

I mean, why is he just pleading and stressing businesses into maintaining proper wastewater management? Why is there no freaking law regarding waste management and waster water treatment? Because they just do not care. If there were no public eye on the topic, this wouldn't even be spoken about.

I have some old private DVDs that I would like to get ripped to a digital file format like .mp4 or so, because my notebooks does not have an optical drive anymore.
Any services that specialize in that field in/on Phuket?

IF Bangkok sent down 20 undercover cops to Phuket and they spent 4 hours visiting motorcycle rentals, bars, shops in Karon, Kata, Patong
they would easily arrest at least 100 foreign nationals!
They dont want to!!!
these few arrests are just for showThese few are the ones that do not want or can to pay the followup money and are therefore exposed. You guess how many people have been caught lately and just bribe their way out instantly, because as you said, if they really cared they could get hundreds of them.
Pretty much any canabis dispensary has a russian casually sitting there, waiting to take care of russian customers.

Imagine if the beach villa would have been rented by a thai national , and the people sitting on the stairs and being kicked would have been foreigners ...
What would have happened ...?
Probably nothing .
Of course, they would have been charge with tresspassing, loitering and sitting on stairs without a work permit.

People change, seasons change. People come, people go. Thats life.
Can anyone name a better place overall than Phuket?
Somewhere that is very well connected to the world, with good beaches, still relatively inexpensive, easy access to good hospitals and decent schools, good diverse dining, and world famous nightlife?
Yes, that's what I always have in mind, too. What are the real alternatives where you have the same level/amount of amenities + good beaches. The combination is just hard to find. If anybody knows any good alternative, please let me know. Does not have to be Thailand.

Just checked, from either direction the electronic signs are not working. Couldn't see the 'no motorbike ' signs as I was on a bike and didn't want to enter the underpass, as would be required to spot them.
Not talking about the electronic ones, but the old metal signs.
But as @ChipButty pointed out, they are so miniture and barely noticable that it is already too late once u saw them and u are on the tunnel lane.
The signs at the "new" tunnel in Pattaya are 5 times the size.

Fleeing from the scene of a crime does not seem to be a crime here. I've seen that over and over again when the perpetrators are caught there doesn't seem to ever be any additional penalty for having left the scene of a crime. It is a very cowardly aspect of the Thai judicial system, no question about that.
However I have used that to my advantage on a number of occasions where I've been able to dodge roadblocks by simply not stopping, and just going around them, and I've only once had a policeman jump on his motorbike and follow me, and then there were no consequences.
Yeah, in more than a decade of riding here and just passing ignoring waving policemen, just once one actually followed me and gave me a chase. :D He demanded my drivers license and that I should follow him back to the checkpoint to talk to his supervisor. I requested my permit back, told him that I would follow him back on my bike. As soon as he did the u-turn I sped away. No chance for him to turn around and chase me ;()

No warning signs in front of the underpass that bikes are not allowed. These electronic signs have not been working for at least one year now.
There are, at least in the direct from wichit to rawai.

My go to place daytime in Phuket Town used to be Uptown opposite Expo, the restaurant has closed and is now Only Yum which seems to be getting good reviews.
Saturday nights with western friends used to be Thammachat (Natural) followed by drinks at Timber Hut.Natural is a fine place, too, especially their phuket pork dish with 7 chinese spices.

You guys probably speaking of this one, right? https://maps.app.goo.gl/UMMML8xEzMTaH61e6
thanks, will check it out. Will probably do my own restaurant mongering, too and report back if I found something good. -

For what you're looking for I recommend Kan Aeng. Not the one at the pier but a bit further down. Close enough to rawai.
Thanks, will check it out. Looks good, almost too fancy already. :)

hmm ... I question the use of a restaurant named Khao Thom as a baseline for good Thai food.
Hopefully they serve more than Khao Thom, and I couldn't find them on Gmaps or elsewhere.
Good Luck
There u go https://maps.app.goo.gl/hd1dVjFxiyi4q1YL6
Why would u question the use of such a restaurant as a baseline? It is not a Khao Thom place, but a very well rounded Tahi restaurant, not a street stall and not a high so fancy tourist trap.
It is very popular with the local Thais and packed every evening. Generally no farangs there, only Thais. I know a lot of good thai thai restaurants in and around phuket town, but need some inspiration for Rawai.

You can do wonders with Prego..... or so I heard.
Haha, yeah, I know some guys who mix some cans of pregos together, mushrooms and tomato garlic flavor, and proudly say they "cooked' some nice pasta. :)
Tbh, it is eatable though :D

What are the best all-round (not seafood only restaurants) Thai restaurants in Rawai area.
Nothing too fancy, but also not a the common tourist padthai stall.
Something that is comparable to "Khao Thom Saka 5" in the Phuket town if anybody knows that.

There are two places that might work.
1. This is actually a co-working space, but they are very enthusiastic about board games. Maybe u can ask them if you could host ur table top session there. https://grindtime.space/
2. The second option is actually a card game store north of phuket town where I generally go to play MTG, but they used to play some smaller DnD games there, too.
I know the owner and I am pretty sure he'd welcome u to play at his store. However, there is no aircon (just fans) and the store is a bit messy. :)

Let me know if you are interested, I could ask him directly.

60 +30.
dang, so a max 90 days. thx

I have a Netherlands and a German passport, but they have the same "value" from a Thai immigration point of view.
As far as I know, I could apply for a 60 days tourist visa at my local Thai embassy/online and then extend that visa within Thailand for another 60 days.
This would result in a maximum of 120 days. Is that correct or do I have wrong numbers. Or can I just extend another 30 days for a maximum of 90?
I also am pretty certain that a couple of years ago one could apply for tourist visa that were 90 days and then extend another 90 days in the country for a maximum of 180 days.
At least that was what some people around me did when they where spending the winter months in Thailand (Oct - Mar). Is that still possible or are these old numbers?
Any input would be appreciated.
Is it only me that gets triggered that thaiger is so prominently shown now?

I know that aseannow.com is now managed by thaiger, sadly, but why does it have to be so prominently shown everywhere? It is managed and not co-owned, is it?
Also the fav was taken over by thaiger, which is ridiculous.
I am not making it a big secret that I absolutely dislike Thaiger, because of several reason. Please remove thaiger logo from the site.
