  1. I have some old private DVDs that I would like to get ripped to a digital file format like .mp4 or so, because my notebooks does not have an optical drive anymore. Any services that specialize in that field in/on Phuket?
  2. These few are the ones that do not want or can to pay the followup money and are therefore exposed. You guess how many people have been caught lately and just bribe their way out instantly, because as you said, if they really cared they could get hundreds of them. Pretty much any canabis dispensary has a russian casually sitting there, waiting to take care of russian customers.
  3. Of course, they would have been charge with tresspassing, loitering and sitting on stairs without a work permit.
  4. Yes, that's what I always have in mind, too. What are the real alternatives where you have the same level/amount of amenities + good beaches. The combination is just hard to find. If anybody knows any good alternative, please let me know. Does not have to be Thailand.
  5. Not talking about the electronic ones, but the old metal signs. But as @ChipButty pointed out, they are so miniture and barely noticable that it is already too late once u saw them and u are on the tunnel lane. The signs at the "new" tunnel in Pattaya are 5 times the size.
  6. Yeah, in more than a decade of riding here and just passing ignoring waving policemen, just once one actually followed me and gave me a chase. :D He demanded my drivers license and that I should follow him back to the checkpoint to talk to his supervisor. I requested my permit back, told him that I would follow him back on my bike. As soon as he did the u-turn I sped away. No chance for him to turn around and chase me ;()
  7. Natural is a fine place, too, especially their phuket pork dish with 7 chinese spices.
  8. You guys probably speaking of this one, right? https://maps.app.goo.gl/UMMML8xEzMTaH61e6 thanks, will check it out. Will probably do my own restaurant mongering, too and report back if I found something good.
  9. Thanks, will check it out. Looks good, almost too fancy already. :)
  10. There u go https://maps.app.goo.gl/hd1dVjFxiyi4q1YL6 Why would u question the use of such a restaurant as a baseline? It is not a Khao Thom place, but a very well rounded Tahi restaurant, not a street stall and not a high so fancy tourist trap. It is very popular with the local Thais and packed every evening. Generally no farangs there, only Thais. I know a lot of good thai thai restaurants in and around phuket town, but need some inspiration for Rawai.
  11. Haha, yeah, I know some guys who mix some cans of pregos together, mushrooms and tomato garlic flavor, and proudly say they "cooked' some nice pasta. :) Tbh, it is eatable though :D
  12. What are the best all-round (not seafood only restaurants) Thai restaurants in Rawai area. Nothing too fancy, but also not a the common tourist padthai stall. Something that is comparable to "Khao Thom Saka 5" in the Phuket town if anybody knows that.
  13. There are two places that might work. 1. This is actually a co-working space, but they are very enthusiastic about board games. Maybe u can ask them if you could host ur table top session there. https://grindtime.space/ 2. The second option is actually a card game store north of phuket town where I generally go to play MTG, but they used to play some smaller DnD games there, too. I know the owner and I am pretty sure he'd welcome u to play at his store. However, there is no aircon (just fans) and the store is a bit messy. :) https://maps.app.goo.gl/m7kmJwDa9LdAduqt7 Let me know if you are interested, I could ask him directly.
  14. I have a Netherlands and a German passport, but they have the same "value" from a Thai immigration point of view. As far as I know, I could apply for a 60 days tourist visa at my local Thai embassy/online and then extend that visa within Thailand for another 60 days. This would result in a maximum of 120 days. Is that correct or do I have wrong numbers. Or can I just extend another 30 days for a maximum of 90? I also am pretty certain that a couple of years ago one could apply for tourist visa that were 90 days and then extend another 90 days in the country for a maximum of 180 days. At least that was what some people around me did when they where spending the winter months in Thailand (Oct - Mar). Is that still possible or are these old numbers? Any input would be appreciated.
  15. Bump, would be interested as well. The prices for ED-Visa also seem to have skyrocketed since last year, almost doubled. On Average it costs 50-60k now where its was 25-30k last year.
  16. We are living in the 21st century, Thailand wants to become a space nation, but is not even able to adequately dispose of waste.
  17. Yepp, that is actually not too uncommon to even "pimp out" their own gf/wife. ????
  18. You are embarrassed to not be a sex tourist? Or you are embarrassed to never have asked the all knowing "wins" yourself, because otherwise you could actually be useful to this thread and not just troll. But I won't say not more... don't feed the trolls. ????
  19. Thai style is actually preferred, and language is not an issue. Yeah, there is probably something in every major town or village, and I will be asking around, but why not get some info from people who actually have experience in that area.
  20. Sure, we drive 500kms to Pattaya for a night. Vulcan logic, NOT.
  21. Yeah, and people occasionally lose legs when strolling through the airport.
