True but how much of that is owing to staff being sent home to isolate? This is another way in which Omicron is different from previous waves: it makes a mockery of quarantine policies.
Good help you if you need to go to immigration on top of all this.

More like the CCP's approach.
The PM in the UK was asked repeatedly yesterday when will all restrictions be lifted and when will the UK learn to coexist with Covid.
Omicron, or further variants, will continue to circulate for centuries.
Thailand would be better concentrating on boosters rather than hysterical panicking.
I have got to that stage where I just focus on myself nowadays..
also studying infectious diseases has help me a lot..
and if people want to keep running into the fire and keep on getting burned shame on them really.,

The Government considered not in the public interest to announce them! It would also be seen by the rest of the world that Thailand had 'lost face'!
By adopting this policy the Thai people have great confidence in their government! How could they admit that the Omicron strain of Covid-19 that is rampaging throughout the rest of the world would do so in Thailand -- this would appear that the Government had lost control!
Seems like the medical care professionals are fed up of this government and through you know the public need to know the truth under theses circumstances and problems..

Love it!
I understand there may be a risk - but we have risks with everything we do
on a selfish perspective - I did not retire , to spend my life (what’s left of it) in lockdown or in hiding - I want to live and enjoy ????- but if I die - meh ????. So be it.
A lot of people are thinking with their dick rather than with their head nowadays.. omg stupid indeed stupid..

Yes you take your risk travelling to Thailand of all places with their draconian measures at this time, even, you know, ordinary decent people looking to live a little and unwind. But nice to see the folk on here don’t disappoint with their special level of empathy. For likes is it? Karma is a b.itch. HNY and welcome to Thailand.
Just write of coming to any 3rd world countries for a maximum 5 years..

I know for a fact that Thai nationals testing positive for Omicron in Phuket are sent home to self isolate for 10 days.
I guess that farang Omicron is much more dangerous or it's a insurance scam. take your pick.
People seem to be saying very little on Phuket but it spread like wildfire from what I read yesterday..

COVID treatment is free for Thai citizens
Normally when I’m in Thailand I don’t have insurance but after this mess I’m definitely buying it just for in case something bad does happen..
I know I’m young and stupid but I don’t go out looking for trouble.

This was inevitable and the numbers will continue to climb.
How much hospitalizations increase will depend on whether MoPH pursues rational policies and limits hospitalization to serious cases.
And also on progress with booster doses especially for high risk groups.
Imagine how many are going to have to pay like this and this is actually a positive case.?

Almost 100% jump from yesterday.
so now its really here in full swing.
some countries were reporting that high jumps every day, but only at the pick of infections.
later it was only some 30% daily jumps.
way to go for thailand from now on.
Now they will knee jerk and close borders, affecting foreigners, that instead of shutting new year celebrations (didnt want to upset thai that much)
It’s going to keep on jumping omg

What do I actually know about this.?
Topic 1: Infectious disease
The emergence of ‘new’ infections such as HIV/AIDS and Ebola and the spread of antibiotic-resistant strains of bacteria are among many signs that infectious diseases still threaten global health. This topic describes the range of infectious agents and the diseases they cause and the risk factors that increase exposure or susceptibility to infection. It reviews the contribution of hand hygiene, sanitation, an effective immune system, vaccination programmes and other defences against infection and the difficulties faced in protecting the world’s population – particularly young children – from infectious diseases. -

Don't have to be an expert to realise Omicron is so infectous that it is almost certain everyone will catch it which hopefully will result in herd immunity. It is still very important to be vaccinated to reduce serious illness
A lot of neighbouring countries could learn from Singapore if they reach out and asked for help ..
