    Wasn't sure if I should post this here or in the IT forum, but living here in Pattaya here goes.

     

    I still have a couple of old laptops still around that I need to get rid of. By old I'm meaning that they were running on Vista and XP operating systems, I'm aware I need to extract the HD and destroy it. But I would appreciate any info on where I can dispose of the rest.

    Why are they using Telegraph not Messenger?

    It definitely smells of a scam, but one never knows.

     

     

    Yes I'm a subscriber to the channel. That is a good question as to why they choose some unknown app to contact them. I think you ay have hit the nail on the head.

    Curious on how others would approach this I received notice yesterday that apparently I have won a motorbke through a drawing on the Motoscoop Youtube channel. Was told to contact them through the Telegraph app. So I gave it a go and they were trying to get back to me through the night. I let them know it was very early in the morning and would contact them later. The site itself seems legit as they are always showcasing the newer bikes about to be released. My first questions to them would be what model bike is it and will I incur any expenses in this transaction. Any input is appreciated.

    I'm glad I added a Mastercard option in the last few months.

    The Visa rate has stayed at 34.92 for the last 4 days even though the published exchange rate has currently risen to 35.35 . Kind of makes you wonder about if some manipulation games are being played..

    Anybody know of anywhere that does faxing services anymore? I've become eligible for a small pension back in the US. and need to send in paperwork and the only way stated electronically is by way of faxing. I'm in Jomtien and have tried the local Kodak shops along with a couple of other small shops around town and got no luck. I'm appreciative of any assistance.

    A few weeks later, my friend had to return a scooter he hired from the local rental shop (foreign owner).

    The foreigner (shop owner) came to my mates house to pick up the motorbike and return the deposit, my friend let him in the front yard for inspection but wouldn't allow the bike to leave his front yard until his deposit was returned.

    The rental shop owner phoned a Thai woman, she entered my friends property and took the bike with force. 

    The shop owner and the Thai woman beat up my friend, lots of cuts and bruises (he had several cameras to capture the video). 

     

    My friend went to the police station to report the crime, gave the cops details and address of the shop owner and video footage, the cops made a report and were given clear video of the assault, they told my friend to go to hospital and the police would be in touch. 

    It's been several months since the assault, the cops have done nothing. 

     

    I told my friend to go to the media/newspaper and make them aware of the situation. My friend replied saying, they won't be interested. 

     

    My friend is the most peaceful, respectful human. I'm really p i s s ed off with this disrespectful attitude by the cops. 

     

    I feel like going to my lawyer and asking my lawyer to help my mate. 

     

     

    No offense but your friend seems rather obtuse. First of all his dealings with his ex-GF can come across as borderline harassment by continuing to call her 17 times and never getting a response back. What doesn't he understand? It wouldn't have surprised me to hear that he got an ### kicking from the ex-bf she went back to. Second of all the details are pretty vague as to why he was having the problems receiving back his deposit on the bike. I'm not saying he deserved a beatdown, but you got to wonder.
