  1. Why should I get ins here in Thailand, when I can get fixed up far cheaply somewhere a couple of hours away
  2. However it does not and those thinking a high medical insurance policy somehow cures all it does not, even that will run dry in a matter of weeks in private hospital It has absolutely killed off the property market here in Thailand, what was cheap insurance wise,as added years becomes expensive
  3. Spoken to guy this day from UK,medical ins 110,000 baht, 10 mil cover, here for 21 days around 55 years old, supposed to be compulsary
  4. If Thailand sticks to the new rules (Thailand Pass) medical insurance etc inc. it will make a sorry mess for everyone, feel like a prisoner, the imposition of compulsary medical insurance will make it a nightmare to many elderly ex pats......as for foreign holiday makers looking to Thailand..that ain't going to happen..........but thats down to covid which is never ever going to go away
  5. The thing that has changed is requirent to have medical insurance for anyone entering Thailand, for elderly that is a killer, too expensive, even for comparatively young as well, buy property, same same awaits, property just made worthless
  6. Of course true, but Spain and other post brexit rules have changed too, more than a few exiting EU countries Its the uncertainty now that clouds the issue in Thailand, the new insurance requirement on entry will become permanent no doubt,so anyone past 75 plus will be in trouble...will have huge effect on property selling fact is it will wipe it out
  7. Tell me. Cannot get there at present ,or Id have been and returned
  8. I cannot understand the comment" horrible experience" If you were knocked out nothing to feel, if you were expecting pain ,you surely will receive it. There are no pain receptors in the gut,no nerve endings. It makes people nervous reading your comment, nothing to be alarmed about,I had it done without being drugged first time, but being drugged for both ends.......coming to once when probe down my throat
  9. Thanks everybody who chipped in about this dog. I returned him to the spot where he was attacked, no other option, kept eye on him for half hour or so,to say he was as happy as Larry would be understatement, tail wagging like helicopter. Ill keep an eye out for him and beach cleaners will too. Catching him earlier enough after wounding, I should have attempted, before the maggots started eating him alive , ,but now have dart gun guys number
  10. Meanwhile a business owner in Nai Han called Pranee was a bit of a wet blanket in comparison. Ill say,the mid afternoon storms now seem the norm, puts more of a slant to a washout
  11. Thanks for this. There are a bunch of beach cleaners quite near the spot where he was attacked, they look after dogs that live there, a few have asked about him through the injuries he received,so are concerned. I will try those groups before I do anything Thanks for helping, still got him, looks better now his fur is returning
  12. I can only do the best I can,no more. Times Im weary,I get tired, not young Im 75,I feel sorry for him,he is fine at the moment, his shyness would make it quite a while until he is domesticated Sorry I bought this damned smart phone, trying to get pics off it are headache
  13. Trying ,but trying to download from smart phone that is smarter than me He sure is shy, knows where his home base is tho
  14. Already explained,I have too many dogs right now,and the dogs I took in were in dreadful state, one crippled, one (a pup) its eyeball hanging down from its face, now one eyed, another cancer suffering, and so on
  15. Thanks, small brown dog very shy,but finding his legs unfortunetly,do not want to become attached, will get parvo/rabies shots this coming week. The wound certainly was massive, virtually healed, fur coming back, took far longer than I thought it would Will make some enquiries regarding Lisa Thanks
  16. Agree,nothing else I can do,rescue centres are full
  17. Young male dog, probably less than 12 months, found whimpering under wreckage on beach, been bitten and over a few weeks the small bite turned into massive maggot wound. I took the dog in and kept it for 6 weeks or so until wound healed. Quiet dog,no barking, very shy and not aggressive, getting used to living in/out of house, this is problem I have 5 dogs ,and cannot have more, thought I found someone, but problem arose . I will have to put the dog back on beach if I cannot re-house,would make good companion to someone
  18. Thinking this...using .gov.uk tell them its lost,uk address, renew there cheaper,DHL to wherever well before finish date Ive never sent old one back,no problem
  19. The offer of 2 pfizer jabs for 3300 is something Ill probably take up new year ,good for booster after receiving 2 AZs
  20. Probably get a CD ,but if stay awake a fascinating journey. First time told to eat more porridge and come back in four hours, embarrassed Ill say, still bunged up. Hard to realise you are looking at your internals as camera rolls inside,up the pipe takes minute or two, then slowly back, thought I had escaped, but no,under a fold of bowel there was one, largish one,the doc operated a claw, grabbed it ,pulled just like long elastic, splash of blood camera lens, then bottled up for testing, nothing Subsequent time, under this time to using drug ,down the throat too, three slivers removed, path lab wanted more, but still tested, needed 3 days for test,OK I said, but reply needed 5 days ,thinking cap on. Had to fly day 3 so they emailed result which was against their rules...5 or 6 pages of crammed test results, could not understand any of it but free of cancer Wanted another colon test just before covid took hold, doc stated he would do both for 500 baht, two years on now wonder if offer still open Just felt like I wanted to f.art the whole way thru
