  1. I had my gallbladder (with a large stone) removed in Korat at Saint Mary's Hospital after almost unbearable pain.


    Minimally invasive, no pain almost no scar after only 3 months to see!


    Stay in the hospital 3 days, in a 2 room luxury room with girlfriend!


    Costs, with operation of my umbilical hernia, ca.280.000.-THB

     

    In the BPH in Pattaya it would have cost me 3 times as much, so drive to Korat ;-)

    Not only in Jomtien there are these pipes!

     

    I live here now exactly 32 years and since then there is also in Pattaya ,at the "HIGH SO" Beach Wong Amat!


    Sometimes a strong storm brings it to the surface!


    And for years feces were pumped into the sea in Naklua!

  3. Why does an accidental death benefit prevent some of the costs?
    Dead by accident...Then I need anyway no more benefit from the insurance!
    I guess once 120.000.-THB ?
    I also had a deductible of 300.000.-THB
    As already written, there is no guarantee that the HI also pays everything!
    Especially if it is expensive. Thai HI as well as so not!

    For me there are just many things that, for me, are more important than many forum posts!

     

    Shall I therefore the status "Gold Member" probably not reach... ;-(

  5. I have lived in Thailand for a good 32 years.
    Was also long time health insurance!
    These HI were but all NO Thai companies!!!
    My experiences with Thai HI are not the best!
    From an age of 65, the contributions increase significantly!
    From 70 it becomes really expensive!


    My last Thai KV - LUMA - has informed me in writing, on my request, the premium increases for the next years!
    If you change age group, your premium will increase by about 30-40% overall - medical inflation and community rating are already included. They are not in addition to this increase.

    If you are still under the same age group, your premium will increase by about 8-12%. annually!


    So unaffordable unless I'm rich ????.


    Save for 5 years I save 300,000.-THB annually and that's my HI

    Was just in the hospital now,2 surgeries, went to Korat for this!


    Price difference to the BPH in Pattaya good 350.000.-THB.


    Paid I there about 280.000.-THB private hospital!!!


    The main problem is actually that if it is expensive, the HI tries everything to have to pay nothing, or only a little!

  7. If she dies and you inherit land, you must transfer it to a Thai within 6 months. 


    Falangs can only own land in a short-term temporary status.


    Of course a Thai buyer will pay you a SUPER PRICE, especially since he knows that YOU have to sell ????

     

    This has nothing to do with the property/house located on the land!


    The house is yours, but it is NOT on your land!

     

    And a lifelong right of residence, is after the death of the landowner, possibly worth nothing, if the heirs do not want to have you in "THEIR" house ????


    There helps only move....!!

     

    Therefore, only a CONDO, in your name is a safe alternative!

    One way to do this would be to set a minimum price for land for foreigners, he said.

    For plots up to 50 square wah (200 square meters), he proposed a minimum price of 5 million baht in Greater Bangkok and 3 million baht in other provinces.
    For plots of 51 to 100 square wah, it should be 10 million baht.
    For land with 101 to 200 square wah, 50 million baht.

  10. I bought a condo in Jomtien in the 1990s!
    After only 1 year sold again!
    Long distances, no nightlife worth mentioning, for all purchases over the hill to Pattaya..Annoying!
    At night or in the morning with the motorcycle from Pattaya to Jomtien....
    Not easy to find a "companion" who goes along!
    At the end of the world...;-)

    With "Wong Amat" made everything right!
    It has always been a "good address" and you can see that in the last 15 years, what was built there in condos and hotels, and is still being built!
    Who the footpath to Naklua Rd. is too far, there are plenty of moped cabs, cabs, and of course BOLD!
    On weekends often great parties at the "Bamboo Beach" with disc jockeys and several super girls!
    Just have a look in the WWW !

    THAT would be absolutely crucial for me too!
    The speed of the elevators...!!
    The condo could be ailing!
    The main thing is fast elevators !!
