Dubai? Where did that come from? I can't think of anywhere less similar to Phu Quoc.
I think you're replying in the wrong thread. ????
But yes, I agree.

Da Nang is really a nice place,,, atleast my favourite. weather is also sunny throughout the year, its a good place for activities such as surfing, kayaking, beach volleyball, and jet-skiing
My favorite place in SEA. What an awesome atmosphere that city has.

70% of Phu Quoc is national park, recent developments have barely made a tiny dent in the landscape.
Hope to visit Phu Quoc end of this year see what's going on down there.. as of right now, I have no opinion. But you stated 70% of PQ is park?, that's actually really good news!
Shouldn't Phu Quoc be compared to Koh Samui or Phuket?

Know those listed risks. Also know of the risk of salmonella from raw eggs. Probably have eaten 1000s of raw / undercooked eggs in my lifetime, and not once even the slightest ill effects.
Go figure.
As I stated, buying raw milk, good to know the product & vendor. One I posted about has an excellent track record ... I think.
Can't live in fear of every risk your whole life.
Can you share where you get your raw milk?
Yup, been eating raw eggs and raw liver for 2+ years now in Thailand.. never been sick. BUT, been sick 10+ times from cooked foods here, go figure...
EDIT: Thanks to all above for the links and tips, I have some hunting to do. ????

I also hold a US passport. My experience was at Hua Hin immigration office.
hmm.. seems like folks near Hua Hin should take a trip to Bangkok or other office..

Are you from Germany? The only folks that I know who are being asked for an Embassy letter are Germans and Vietnamese passport holders. I just got my 60 day covid extension today no questions asked but I'm holding a US passport..

Any other countries do this 90 day reporting nonsense or is just Thailand?

I suspect that seff55 went to MTT and not actually the nonthaburi immigration office
(MTT is also in nonthaburi)
I was sent to Thai Immigration (Temporary VISA Extension Center) Address: หมู่บ้าน เลขที่ T89/24 Popular Rd, Pak Kret District, Nonthaburi 11120, Thailand

Thanks for the update!
But why did they send you to Nonthaburi?
Did they send other applicants to Nonthaburi as well?
Not sure but I believe everyone is being sent there for covid/tourist extensions. I was one of about 10 others waiting for their passport to returned.

Thanks for your input. Please let us know after you comeback tomorrow!
Got 60 days today, literally no issues whatsoever... everyone else seemed to have no issues either. ???? Online fud?
IO also said to me "Don't lose your house registration receipt, you'll need it next time." looks like I'll be here until March lol.

@lolalolis right. I've been in Thailand since march 2020 and have gotten all covid extensions without any problems. Seen a couple others who came in January and February 2020 having no issues as well. Went to CW immigration today and they said nothing about flights, sadly, I have to return tomorrow because I was missing the lease agreement(for TM30) from my landlord so I cannot really say yet if I'll be asked, but so far nothing..

In Thailand since 2020 January, did my another CoViD-19 extension, no questions asked, 60 days granted, didn't see anyone "frantically buying flight tickets out".

Just got back from Samui immigration. 60 day extension approved. It's my 7th extension, no issues whatsoever.

In the process of getting a 3 year TRC. Was wondering why others would get the 5 years visa exemption. Which did you get or would get? Cheers.
