  1. I logged into the April app today (Feb 15, 2025) to check policy documents and according to the General Conditions for My Health International dated September 2024 (Ref:MHI Cov 24S1, on bottom left of cover page), Thailand is shown as Zone 3 per snip below. Last year, some people reported that Thailand has been moved up to Zone 2, but some still showed Thailand as being Zone 3. Zone 3 premiums should be cheaper than zone 2, so I hope that the this will be reflected in this year's premium.
  2. Here's another data point still showing Zone 3. Policy has been in effect since July 1, 2020. This year's premium increase is about 12%. Perhaps the change to Zone 2 takes effect from August 2024, so the impact of the increased premium will hit me next year. 3. April did tell me that formal notice to change the insurance consultant must be given at least two months before the anniversary date of the policy. I argued that by the same token, I should be given the same advance notice on April's change in insurance consultant. This year's premium notice still showed the insurance consultant as the old company "AA Insurance Brokers", and it was only after I paid the premium one month later that I noticed April made the change to "Alliance Insurance Services" (AA World in India).
  4. In the past month, I was forced to deal with "AA World" (based in India) on renewal of my April International (France) policy, and it was a frustrating experience to say the least. AA World seemed motivated to sell a new policy to me rather than answer my questions, so I dealt directly with April International France. I was pleasantly surprised at their responsiveness, ease with which you can make an appointment to speak with a live person and ability to properly answer questions. I did renew my policy again, but to shield me from the frustration of "AA World", I requested that they be removed from my policy in their role as Insurance Consultant so that none of my insurance premium will go into their pockets as any kind of renewal commission.
