I am a UK national who has lived in Thailand continuously for coming up to 4 and a half years, on a retirement visa. My Thai partner and I are planning to visit the UK in a couple of months to see my family and friends. We are completing his on-line application for his UK standard visitor visa. All good but then it asks for 'Evidence that your sponsor is not, or will not be, in breach of UK immigration laws at the time of your visit'.
I will be paying for the holiday, and therefore assume that I am the 'sponsor'. However, for the life of me, I cannot work out what I can offer by way of evidence here. Has anyone else has had to answer this, and if so, what evidence did you provide?
