  1. Oh, yeah it's changed. I got a 2 year license on a tourist exemption, and then got a 2 year extension on a tourist exemption. That's what it is according to the people at the LTO and the driving school I used to facilitate my licensing the first time.
  2. Hm, I'm not sure what you mean. People on short term/tourist visas get a 2 year temporary license only. 5 year license is available to longer term visa holders. That's what I've been told anyway.
  3. Does anyone know if it is possible to "renew" or change from a 2 year license to a 5 year license if someone changed from a tourist to education/non-immigrant visa? My 2 year license isn't close to expiry, but wanted to change to the 5 year license so I can get an IDP/international license translation. Thanks
  4. Wondering if anyone has any recommendations cost efficient labs in Chiang Mai? I need some endocrinology bloodwork and semen analysis on a fairly regular basis and was wondering about saving some money by just going direct to a basic lab vs the hospital. Thank you,
  5. It does and those vaccines are great. If this is a good faith question and you are interested, the history of the decades - of injury, death and outrage - leading up to an acceptable polio vaccine is a very good read.
  6. I went here and showed them my old passport front/emergency contact/health insurance card back cards. Turns out they actually have a plastic card printer here. It was not cheap but not really a terrible price considering; 360 baht for 10 cards. Quality was pretty spectacular; it turned out much better than the cards I normally print for myself at work using an ID printer. They were willing to split the 10 into 5; 5 with passport on one side, insurance card on the other. then 5 with passport one side, emergency contacts on the other. I could have probably thought of more different information sets to put on them, but this is fine, I have 5 sets of critical info I can stuff into wallets/bags/pockets.
  7. Cool, thank you, I will check that out.
  8. Hey there, Does anyone know of anyone know of any print shops/services that have a plastic ID card printer? Normally I carry a shrunken copy of my passport, insurance cards, emergency contacts, etc, and I need to do some updates.
