My marriage visa extension (1 year) runs out on mid-November 2021 but my funds (400k) will not be seasoned by then so I will need an extension. The problem is I already used the 1 month extension you can do during this entry. Can I still get the Covid extension? Has it been extended?

So, this is not for me directly but a friend of mine who has a serious problem. He needs a new passport because his old one is expiring, but the Venezuelan Embassy is in Malaysia and in order to get a passport and get the biometric data scanned, he needs to go there, wait a few weeks and then come back, which also involves quarantine in both Malaysia and then again Thailand. Does anyone know if there's a way around this? Any help is greatly appreciated.

My visa (marriage) expires on November 20th 2021. I do not yet meet the requirements (400k in the bank) for an extension. Could I take advantage of the Covid extension to somehow extend my visa? If I get this extension now, to what day could I extend it? November 30th? Or longer? I already used my 60 day extension to visit Thai wife last year, so that option is gone for me.

Anyone know if this will be the last extension? Or if they will keep issuing them? Kind of tough to plan for the 60 days money in the bank 400k afterwards if we don't know which one will be the last one.

Did they inform you when they would cease?

What if you use an agent this year and want to use your own 400k next year. Wouldn't immigration ask why you didn't keep 400k in your bank account the year before? And how you got that visa?

Any news about the Covid visa extensions? Are they going away too?

It appears they are talking about lifting the emergency decree soon. I believe the Covid visa extensions was part of this emergency decree. Does anyone have any information if the Covid visa extensions will also be canceled?

I know people are always saying be careful with visa agents ...but has there been any big issue with them? I can't remember reading anything about it or any foreigners getting into serious issues. There was one that was growing marijuana plants on the 2nd floor or something and the owner got arrested for a day ..only to be cleared up a day later as a "mistake". In Bangkok, that was a few months ago or so.

Has there been any case where foreigners got into trouble using a visa agent in recent times by skipping some requirements?

Do you know if it's possible to switch back to marriage visa from the Covid extension once I meet the requirements? Or once I am on the Covid extension I would need to leave the country to re-start the marriage extension?
