  1. Just arrived in Ta Ong, Surin from Cha-Am a fews days ago, due to ongoing family issues a Sick Mother in Law, totally distracted by recent events l forgot to do my 90 day Report in Cha Am, for me and my two Sons with just 3 days to go before the 7th day past the due date, what to do in a panic l registered online and filled out the TM47, but it was all rejected by email. So off we went to Surin Immigration still in a bit of a panic, we needed to change the Registered Address and do a 90 Day Report all at the same time, the lady at the counter could not have been more helpful, instead of the shaking of heads that you get from the big resorts, every thing was "No Problem", we didn't have all the forms for are Son's TM30, TM47, again she says just bring the Passports "No Problem" and no fuss, it was all sorted very quickly. Thankyou again, saved me a lot of issues and of course 6000baht in fines
  2. Hello Vibration, Your Wife cannot inherit any part of your Basic UK State Pension, but She can inherit part of your SP2 or SERPs Contributions Spousal Inheritance of SP2: The search results directly address this. A surviving spouse or civil partner can inherit up to 50% of their late partner's State Second Pension (SP2). The amount a surviving spouse can inherit depends on the deceased's work history, their National Insurance contributions, and whether they "contracted out" of the scheme to a private pension.
  3. A DIY Solar Installation can be cheap as a Ball Park Price: @25,000Thb per 2.5Kw System which can pay for itself in 15 months or less. 4 x 580w Solar Panels 9000Thb Micro Inverter. 10000Thb Solar Rails. 1200Thb Cable & Brackets. 2000Thb Labour 2 Men x 1 Day. 3000Thb Like everything else in Thailand there's something for all budgets You may not be able to make money when the Sun shines but you can definitely save money 4.65Thb/kWh.
  4. Hello Anders, l believe we are both located in Hua Hin and like Crossey l have also installed a DIY Solar installation 2.9Kw (Deye Grid Tied Micro Inverter) at the moment but plan to expand to about 5Kw, l could put 20 panels on my south facing roof but l don't want to break my neck climbing at 65yrs old or pay someone 250,000Baht for the privilege and my free Battery Storage is called the PEA. So, l have installed all the panels myself on a lower more accessible 25 degree roof sloping North and East/West and like Anders l have been scratching my head and doing my sums to workout the best inclination angles and now decided to remove and adjust the fixing brackets of every panel adjusting the slope inclination to 15 degrees or more increasing the output of each panel by about 12%. Also Anders at this time of year just to remind you the Asimov and Altitude of the Sun is towards the North 78 degrees but gradually it will travel towards the South for the rest of the year. Its been an interesting little project, my East and West Panels now share the same individual MPPT input saving the expense of buying an additional invertors and generating from dawn till dusk. There is a free PV Calculator in the Google App Store, also Angle Inclination Apps and Sun Locator, The App is called PV Calculator by susenergy
  5. I am disappointed at the lack of imagination and geographical knowledge of UK Politicians, why should we deport Boat People to another state when we could easily send them to Unst (the most northerly of the Shetland Islands) were they could be duly and legally processed within the UK. Unst is a forbolding place with no trees, cold and dark in winter but benefits from an Air Strip, if you are a genuine asylum seeker you would love Unst, if you are a financial migrant then you would hate it. Unst needs more infrastructure to benefit it's local population Hospitals and public housing could benefit Unst in the long term, instead of of squandering money on Hotels and the £500,000 per year to the French Navy, Yes let the Boat People Come and fly them all straight to Unst

  11. I normally check out the ASEANNOW website on my phone early in the morning, it is nearly impossible now to read even a few words before an annoying advert from ANA a Japanese Airline takes over my phone, even if l watch the advert all the way through (120sec) it pops up again a few minutes later. Advice needed to stop the advert, it spoils the site.
  12. In reply to your post Bluemon58 is quite correct "Yellow Fever Vaccine", Issues to be aware of: Get your Yellow Fever Vaccine before you travel to Nigeria $50 You will be issued with a " Yellow Fever Card" with your "Yellow Fever Vaccine", you will be asked to show this (so keep it on your person) along with your Passport at Lagos Airport on Arrival, prior to Nigerian Immigration. Note: If you fly directly from Africa (not via Dubai or other hub) to Bangkok, you must go directly to the Airport Medical Centre (prior to Immigration on the left) and fill out a Medical Form and show your "Yellow Fever Card", then proceed to Thai Immigration. No, "Yellow Fever Card", No Entry.............Simple, (or they'll insist on another Yellow Fever Jab and charge $100+) Good luck with Nigeria, there nice people,,
