  1. You need to educate yourself a bit. UK - - 1 million tests per day - 70% plus of the population fully vaccinated - society opened up, life as normal. - funded.development of AZ vaccine - donated FOC vaccines to third world countries (Thailand). - one of the largest genome sequencing capabilities in the world. Compare to the basket case of Thailand and what Thailand has done for it's own citizens or contributed in any way to the world medically, scientifically or charitably during this pandemic. You also need to educate yourself about Thailand's entry requirements.
  2. 1 day after the 'reopening' and BKK being thrown open and the hoardes beating done the doors to get into Thailand, the small print begins to appear. That's the family sector wiped out before they've even started.
  3. Until it is in the royal gazette, everything is conjecture. If i was a betting man, i would think this won't be far from the final details. https://thepattayanews.com/2021/09/27/thai-government-announces-more-relaxation-of-covid-19-domestic-measures-emergency-decree-extension-and-plans-to-welcome-vaccinated-tourists/
  4. Think it shows UK doesn't believe a word that Thailand says and how genuine their vaccine certificates are? Maybe I'm missing something, as a UK citizen do i have to do quarantine when i arrive in Thailand? Is there other hoops to jump through when entering Thailand? Thought so.
  5. Once again i repeat, the vast majority where returnees. Expats, property and business owners. It is estimated 6000 where actual tourists.
  6. What's your point? Good for you. Who cares what you do? You and a few thousand people ain't going to save the Thai tourism industry. 40 million tourists in 2019 and 20% of GDP, to you and your chums riding to the rescue Q4 2021 and 0.00000000000001% of GDP. No one even knows the final details. It's totally ambiguous. As usual, clear as mud. If you want to be a performing seal and jump through all the hoops then do. Who cares.
  7. https://thepattayanews.com/2021/09/27/thai-government-announces-more-relaxation-of-covid-19-domestic-measures-emergency-decree-extension-and-plans-to-welcome-vaccinated-tourists/ Adam Judd is normally not far off the mark. I would think this is what 'reopening' looks like. I wouldn't be going through this endurance test.
  8. I hope this is the route they go down. I would gladly pay a reasonable levy to give reassurance and remove another hurdle from travel.
  9. Any other country would be charged with fraud. It's a disgrace that the untruth of "reopening" is being splashed all over global media.
  10. I think your right. I think Thailand will not give up it's hard fought gains by a quick return to opening up the country. It annoys me that certain posters seem to live in cloud cuckoo land and ignore the facts. I think farang business owners on the main tourist areas are going to be very disappointed.
  11. https://thepattayanews.com/2021/09/27/thai-government-announces-more-relaxation-of-covid-19-domestic-measures-emergency-decree-extension-and-plans-to-welcome-vaccinated-tourists/ Looks like your wrong again @Kadilo Pattaya news reporting it's sandbox type scheme from 1st November.
  12. Can i get my passport stamped at BKK and walk unhindered to a taxi? Have you booked your flight back to Thailand? Many on this forum would like to benefit from your inside knowledge.
  13. I'll give you another chance @Kadilo. Will there be unrestricted entry to Thailand before the end of this year? No unrestricted entry to BKK? No litterboxes, sandboxes, sealed corridors? Get your passport stamped and walk unimpeded to a taxi? Make a call.
  14. If i was a betting man, you will not be free to get a passport stamp and walk to the taxi line unhindered. Until that day comes I won't be returning.
  15. They think the vast majority are people who have had to return, family, business etc. Not 2 week holiday makers. Would you travel half way round the world to shuttered shops, restaurants and an alcohol ban?
  16. Then no volume of people will come. 100,000 people expected through Phuket sandbox, 6000 tourists came. Peanuts.
  17. It's as clear as mud. As usual. Why can Thai media not report clear and precise details? Most likely not their fault but surely the exact details where given at the meeting?
  18. Other sources are confirming reduction to 7 day quarantine but not removing quarantine. https://inews.co.uk/inews-lifestyle/travel/travel-update-next-when-new-restrictions-start-date-covid-review-explained-1207690 No firm date for the next UK review of Thailand's red list status either.
  19. Yip, you don't do facts. Still waiting for your "opinion" on when and how Thailand is going to reopen in time for high season.
  20. Thanks. @Kadilo posts fantasies masquerading as facts. He still hasn't given me an answer about his utterances on Thailand's borders opening and how 'high season' will be achieved. It's now 26th September.
  21. Adam Judd, Pattaya News editor, on a YouTube video, mocked that story about premises on the seaside of Walking St. closing. He said it was farangs abroad talking rubbish, it wasn't, it was Barry Kenyon in the Pattaya Mail, his sister publication, who wrote the article.
