  1. Back when I was trying out all the services there was an issue I noted with YoutubeTV that required you to login from your registered address every so often in order to continue to use the service. So I never tried it as I deemed it not usable here in Thailand. I ran into an issue with Hulu Live TV that only allows your location to change 4 times then they lock you out. That is why I prefer Sling and Fubo over the other services. Fubo gives you 250 hours of DVR and also my regional sports channels which they automatically record all the games for me; baseball, basketball and football.

FUBO for around $60 USD for 1 month, plus vpn.

I use FUBOTV and am really happy with it, I use it on my AppleTV with a DNS provider (Getflix), however there is a major issue with FUBO and the tournament. FuboTV does not have TNT and TBS in their channel line up so you will miss a hell of a lot of games as only the CBS broadcasts will be available. SlingTV offers TBS and TNT at $40 / month but they don't offer CBS. So if you want it all under one subscription HULU LiveTV might be the best option.

Perhaps you hadn't noticed the changes in Hong Kong these past few years. Direct flights in and out of Hua Hin from Hong Kong, Singapore and other parts of the region will be successful. The world has also changed since covid. More travellers from the region rather than Europe.

Yes, and the KUL flights were very popular here as well. Now please restart the HHQ to UTH service, I remember those flights being full capacity pre-pandemic.

  4. I have been here in Hua Hin since 2009. The process has always been to get a residence letter from your landlord or condominium building manager, then take said to Immigration for the certificate of residence. You will get it from the downstairs at Prachuap Immigration office and the document will cost 500 baht still I think. With the certificate and Passport , also a Thai phone number, you shouldn't have any trouble. I have accounts at both BBL and SCB, I find SCB to be the overall better of the banks.

There is not one in Cha Am but Cha Am is only 25km from Hua Hin, so no at the ende of the world. You even have one there at Blue Port Shopping Center.

Bluport shopping center office is now no longer processing 90 day reports, only service they offer is tourist visa extensions, I.e. TM7. It was nice to pop in there for a quick 90 day report, they are forcing us to use the new online 90 day report.

When I first came out here I resided in a hotel in Hua hin and I remember alc. was served in coffee cups , can't remember why , was it the time of day or summat else. Hotel was  Top Marks.

I used to stay at Top Marks as well until I bought my condo. It was a fun place in a great location. New ownership now renamed Sophia the original owners moved to a new guest house in Cha-Am. Might have been on account of a religious holiday or King’s BD.

  7. Arrived last night at Udon Thani, no one asked for anything at DMK and didn’t say anything about what to expect on arrival. Was directed to the counter on the right after arrival and instead of digging out my printed vaccination certificates I provided the digital wallet certificate I downloaded from California. The guy looked at it and was confused, called his colleague over and I explained that it is from America / California and then they were happy. Gave me my little paper with the stamp and was allowed to exit.

  8. Bintha Baht  won’t be returning to what it was, the plan is to make a modern board walk where all the guest houses and restaurants were located along the sea. Many are already tore down. Bintha Baht will be part of the project rejuvenation. As already stated most all the bars from the area have relocated to Soi 94. I know bar owners on Soi Selakam and they want to relocate as well.

I would go thru the 1 year marriage extension instead of retirement, that way you don't have tie up your money in the bank. Unless your country's embassy still issues income verification letter.

Still 400,000 baht in the bank is a lot better than tieing up 800,000 like I have to do! The UK, U.S., AUS and a few others will no longer issue pension income affidavits.

Arrived, had to go to the SHA+ hotel booked for a single night, check out 2 hours later and go home when the negative test came back and a sigh of relief that they they weren't going to be carted off for a 200k stay at a hospital.

What a waste of time. Why would any genuine tourist be bothered with this rubbish.

For myself as a returning resident it was well worth the effort as I am sure it was for your friend a businessman. For tourists I agree it is not accommodating. Yes the airlines are totally confused in what is required of them I believe this is on account of the previous Certificate of Entry system which required tons of paperwork. Singapore Air took 30 minutes per person to process at check in at SFO. Luckily I had printed all my documents and QR code, those that didn't have paper copies were told to email them to the SINAIR office so they can be printed. Then the agent took a photo of each document for their archives and a supervisor had to come and go thru all the documents as well before the agent was cleared to process the individual.

As far as arrival was concerned it was very slick, however the screeners of your documents preferred to see paper copies as well. I went right thru the line because I had paper copies ready, the officer scanned my paper QR code and then I went straight to immigration, bag claim and then my waiting SHA+ hotel representative. The whole process after arrival only took me 30 minutes and I was swabbed and resting comfortably in my hotel room served breakfast and ordered a couple of beers within an hour.

Yes Agoda AQ hotels are accepted. Just got my pass instantly with Agoda reservation.

I booked my hotel from Agoda and used the Agoda confirmation in TP, then next day I get email from hotel to send them my itinerary and copy of PP then they will send me the confirmation to use for the TP application. Did I screw up using the Agoda confirmation? Should I resubmit with hotel confirmation letter as I received the email from TP that application was accepted, but no QR code?

    Got my 90 days.

As usual there's no communication between MFA and immigration.

some travel agent from germany had reply from munich consulate, that 90 day covid insurance is sufficient

My understanding is that the Covid insurance period only needs to cover the quarantine period. Now that quarantine is going away November 1 it will be interesting to see how this is interpreted.
