Looming Over Trump’s Conviction: Reversal by the '13th Juror'
Excogitator replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Stop projecting lies and nonsense. This is what you started with: That is an insult. Backed up with nothing, zero, nada. If you want to remain divorced from reality, then that's your choice. I have no more time for you. -
Looming Over Trump’s Conviction: Reversal by the '13th Juror'

Because you need to employ your lazy arse to do some actual fact-finding to (try to) back up your unfounded claims and insults. Facts that are publicly available, and literally right in front of you. Maybe you will even learn something in the process.. -
Looming Over Trump’s Conviction: Reversal by the '13th Juror'

I just did put up. The official data is right there on those specific sites, available through some simple searches. Anything else you can find with a simple Google search. Either you are unwilling, or unable to do just that, is not my problem. You are the one throwing fact-free accusations at me, with nothing to back them up. Because you have nothing to back them up with, do you? -
Looming Over Trump’s Conviction: Reversal by the '13th Juror'

I presented a list of available and verifiable facts. All public information. Here are a couple of links to start you off. https://www.census.gov/en.html https://www.bea.gov/ Now, put up or shut up. -
You're making your argument with what if's.. that's no argument at all. No 1. Trump is a convicted felon. When that sinks in, the majority of US voters will decide to not vote for him. No 2. In the off chance that Trump somehow gets himself elected. What makes you think Trump will have enough power and support to simply 'take the US out of NATO'? The very foundation for US and Western security ever since WW2.

In what way is it 'drivel'? Do you have anything factual to back up that claim? -

How so? Prove me wrong in anything I said. -
You are delusional if you think Russia, China or even both united, can even compare with NATO. The fact that Russia can't even occupy one, not even fully developed, Eastern European nation, proves that you're wrong. You sound like one of those spoilt, entitled rightwing Karens, criticizing everything about the free and democratic welfare states you comfortably grew up in, now pining for autocratic rule just because you feel your 'privileges' are somehow in danger of being 'taken away' from you.. Sorry to burst your bubble, but under autocratic rule like in Russia and China, you would not even be able to speak your mind freely, in the way that you just did...

Looming Over Trump’s Conviction: Reversal by the '13th Juror'
Excogitator replied to Social Media's topic in World News
..and that makes their support for him even more baffling, and it underscores my point of them voting against their own best interest. For under Trump: 1 trillion dollars of wealth was transferred from ordinary working Americans to his fellow billionaires, through handouts and tax-breaks. Hundreds of thousands died unnecessarily due to his criminal incompetence in handling the covid-pandemic. The economy lost 2.9 million jobs. The unemployment rate increased to 6.3%. Illegal immigration increased. The murder rate rose to the highest level since 1997. The number of people lacking health insurance rose by 3 million. The federal debt held by the public went up, from $14.4 trillion to $21.6 trillion. And, regarding your reference to Israel, Trump gave 3-4 billion dollars in military aid to Israel and Netanyahoo every year during his term. Many of these weapons were used in the clashes then with Gaza, and in the current war. Need I go on..?- 71 replies

Exactly right. It is time for NATO, the strongest military alliance in world history, to show its strength and resolve. For that is the only language Putins Russia understand.

French Expat Rescues Two Men from Drowning in Lopburi
Excogitator replied to webfact's topic in Central Thailand News
Well done Monsieur Brand! Showing courage, springing into action and saving two lives. It still amazes me, after all this time, just how few Thais that can actually swim. Most use life jackets, though, but in a drunken state, like in this case, common sense is easily disregarded, and that basic skill could quite possibly have saved the third life.- 34 replies

I used to think: What level of crazy do you have to be, to support a man like Trump, now a convicted felon, and to actually want him as your president? I got it all wrong... As much as I hate to generalize, I am now convinced, beyond any doubt, that it is not a matter of mental health, but in fact, a matter of intelligence, or lack thereof. For what else can it be? Blind faith? - Is Trump truly the orange Jesus? Mass hypnosis? - Has Trump found a way to 'play the primal chords in their reptile brains'? Hardly. There is nothing divine or supernatural about the guy. In fact, he is is not very gifted at all. The truth is much more simple. His supporters don't even understand what they are supporting. They are easily tricked by hubris and simple talking points that appeal to their own biases. So much so, that they are willing to vote against their own best interest. (Unknowingly I guess..) They seem to live in total denial of reality. They won't accept election results, they won't accept court decisions, but instead disregard it all as 'rigged' and 'fake'. Residing in some kind of alternative reality bubble where universally accepted facts, rules and laws don't apply. It seems that many of his supporters don't even understand what this case was all about, what crimes Trump have been found guilty of, and what crimes he is still charged with...- 71 replies

Hamas is a protest movement against Israeli oppression of the Palestinian people. A two state solution will lead to an end of this oppression. Hence, there will be no more reason for extremist groups like Hamas to even exist. The more violence, the more extremists. The less violence, the less extremists. A two state solution rewards the moderates who only want to live lives in peace and prosperity and with dignity.

Police break up network aiding foreigners to stay in Thailand

Excellent. Keep up the good work. -
A two-state solution is the only way to achieve lasting peace and an end to the seemingly endless spiral of violence. Ireland is far from alone in supporting and recognising a Palestinian state. Norway and Spain recently did the same, and, in fact, 'as of May 2024, the State of Palestine is recognized as a sovereign state by 145 of the 193 member states of the United Nations' (Wikipedia) https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/International_recognition_of_the_State_of_Palestine

No "Legal Miracles" for Thaksin and Yingluck, Says Former Deputy PM

I didn't say anything about the crimes being invented. My point was, and still is, those behind the charges were even bigger criminals. -
No "Legal Miracles" for Thaksin and Yingluck, Says Former Deputy PM
Excogitator replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Criminals, or made criminals by some even bigger criminals..? Take your pick. At least they were both democratically elected, as opposed to those who threw them out and charged them with 'crimes'.
