Why?

I will never support that level of violence and the mass-killing of innocents. What's going on now is the wrong approach, and will only breed more violence in an endless spiral of violence. As I said before, if the Palestinians have a real chance of their own state and a life in dignity, peace and prosperity, there is no reason for Hamas to even exist.

Be realistic man, you can't just snap your fingers and make things happen. It will all take some time. The only ones with enough clout to push things forwards faster, though, is the US. One can only hope.

Hopefully the majority of the people of Israel, who live in a democracy, will eventually see this as the only way to lasting peace. And one can only hope that big-brother, USA, will also nudge them in the right direction. If those two factors come together, then it can happen, as I believe that Abbas and all normal and moderate Palestinians also are ready for this.

Okay, for arguments sake, lets only use the information in your bbc-link, which is 2 months old already, and take into account the unverified israeli claim there, that 10000 'terrorists' have been killed, that still means that 20000 innocent palestinian civilians, children, women and men have also been killed. That is already a genocide in progress.. and by now, we can add 2 more months of killings...

This conflict didn't start this year, when Hamas attacked Israel.. It's been going on for decades and decades. Had the Palestinians been able to live their lives with dignity and in prosperity and peace, in their own land, the Hamas would have no reason to exist.

The Israelis have (so far) killed more than 15000 Palestinian children. How many Israeli children have Hamas killed? Less than 20.. It's disproportionate to the extreme.. And since you don't trust (the very respectable) Amnesty International.. You are forgetting about (ignoring?) the millions of innocent people caught (and many of them killed) in the crossfire.. The innocent people in Gaza are trapped under a constant israeli bombardment, with nowhere else they can go. Now imagine if that was you..
