Are covid extensions still being considered in Bangkok and if so until when? Has anyone done one recently and if so experienced any issues? Education visa coming to an end and thinking of doing covid extension if i can.

Currently on education visa. Had 2 extensions already. Can you change purpose of stay from education to volunteer without leaving Thailand and what is required to change purpose to volunteer.

Thank you. Apparently it is not a test at immigration, it is a test that gets done at the office of the ministry of education, but due to covid it now gets done at the language school. You do a test in your 3rd month and 7th month of visa and if you fail the test you wil not get the necessary forms for visa extension.

Studying Thai language with education visa. Need to write ministry test the first one and if you fail test your extension / visa can be terminated. 

Anyone done this test? How difficult is it? Anyone have some sample questions? Will really appreciate guidance and feedback.

Typo error, you cannot change while in the country. That is the way i understood it.

As said before you can change non immigrant visa categories while in the country. It can only be done after leaveing the country by applying for a new visa at a embassy or entering with tourist visa or visa exempt and applying for a non-b visa at immigration.

I is only possible to change the reason for your extension of stay from education to working.

Hi, anyone know if you can change schools with education visa? Studying Thai at Language school.

Have a south african paypal account linked to south african bank account. Residing in thailand for the past few months. I do freelance digital artwork for clients outside of thailand ie usa, australia and was paid using paypal. Paypal restricted account as i am now residing in thailand. Looking for alternative to get paid other than paypal.

South african residing in thailand. Used paypal to get funds from usa, but now having issues with paypal. How can i receive funds from usa, have a south african bank account.

Thank you all. Perhaps i didn't explain myself properly. What I meant need to go back to immigration for the visa to be issued. Wanted to know will questions be asked like proof funds, etc or will the visa just be issued, no questions asked?

Anyone done Education Visa recently?

Received approval letter from Ministry of Education. Visa application submitted at Bangkok immigration. Met with immigration officer at language school and photo was taken with officer. Now need to go back to immigration to get outcome of visa.

Would like to know if anyone know what to expect when you go back to immigration for outcome? Is it just a formality, will there be questions asked?

You are entitled to a covid extension. Just apply and obtain one.

No will not, just thinking about questions they might ask given that it might be the last covid extension

They should not ask about the reason since that is what the affidavit your complete is for. You could put awaiting for approval documents for a visa application or just covid 19.

How easy or the cost to get it done will depend upon the type of school and the course of study you will be doing.

The rules for it are based around applying for the non-ed visa for attending a university or some classified as a formal school.

Language schools and etc are considered informal schools.

Thank you for feedback.  The application for education visa in progress and will have to go for another covid extension next week to buy some time. If Immigration should ask why another extension can I say education visa in progress?

Conversion will be done at bangkok immigration. Anyone done this recently? What can one expect at immigration offices?
