  1. @Lemsta69 I'll wait for thier reply, they claim for the fee they do the paper work and the document required from there is straight to the Bank to open Siam-Legal 5k fee + vat. I'll update the post , if they replay and i manage to get the account, Seen a few reviews one from only 3 months ago
  2. Correct, I'm looking at my future plans, which is buying a condo first and get myself setup. But its not easy, considering Thailand wants people to buy buy buy and bring money, yet make it very difficult.
  3. @Red Phoenix Thanks, I have sent an email out requesting an agent services, and hope that it works.
  4. I tried bangkok bank and they said the website is out of date and no longer offer that basic opening of an account
  5. Its a nightmare ????. I'll have to look at an agent, do we know if it usually goes with out any issues providing my passport and passport stamp ?
  6. Finding it virtually impossible to open a thai bank account, I want to purchase a Condo, and every bank that advertise that a foreigner can open a bank account, just say "No". I dont trust a lawyer to be my POA for buying the condo, beside in Bkk lawyer are extortionate quoted prices and would much prefer my own bank account ????, and I would rather go to the land registry myself to sign. So when I return it would be much easier to transfer the money to the thai bank account. I only come on a tourist visa , less than 30 days per time. Any ideas guys. ?
  7. Yes I'm starting to think I need to think ahead and conclude the purchase when I'm back in Thailand
  8. @Pmbkk What's the shortest possible time do you think, i would need to purchase a condo from setting agreement to finalise. With all the checks that need to be carried out on the property and seller.
  9. Thanks for the replies. The condo is not a new build. It's walking distance of my partners shop, main reason for chosing the place. Problem I have is I'm still working in England and will be back to UK after the 22nd April, which is the main reason for wanting to use a lawyer, of course very nerve racking, as its the first time buying here I want to be very cautious, and try and get everything right. Sure I would prefer not to have to use a lawyer, but I'll need POA and transfer, this condo will be solely in my name. If I had the time I would surely try and complete via the agent. And possibly the condo will be gone by the time I return end of July. Has anyone had any dealing with using a POA for the cash transaction, its a scary thought ????
  10. Do these below charges seem fair or not for a Bangkok Lawyer to purchase a Condo in Bangkok ? ---------
