Dude, you have problems, first your anxiety post regarding Thai beer now this depressing story.
I don't understand why so many members post these negative thoughts, what's going on.
Seems to be quite a few lately.
You guys won't be happy whever you reside. There was a recent post (its still active) by a kiwi, living in NZ, he was missing Thailand.
I gave him some pointers about relocating to SE Asia, then he replied saying his NZ pension wouldn't allow him to relocate.
He's not even accountable for his failures, blaming the NZ bureaucrats because he can't relocate to Thailand, he would lose his pension, this is his own poor planning, why blame others?OMG, from the day I started working my parents told me, don't rely on the government pension, get a job, save for your future.
I'm still in my 50s and will never see an Australian pension, due to my assets and the Australian government keep increasing the required age for the pension, the peanuts you get each fortnight you will only allow a monkey to survive.
I can see people losing interest once they arrive here in Thailand because you need money to enjoy your life, going out to nice restaurants, maybe buying a car and motorcycle to visit places of interest, living in a condo/house to call home.
It's crazy to come to Thailand, just renting a room above a bar in soi Buakao and getting drunk everyday, this is not a life, depression will set in then you'll question yourself, looking for answers, there's no hope for those without a plan, before feeling sad and sorry for yourself have a plan in place. If it's not doable then don't do it.
Thailand is so beautiful, so dynamic, so many smiling faces, lovely parks and beaches, awesome weather. The affordability is amazing, so cheap but it's still difficult on an Australian/NZ pension, we're all nearing the end of your journey in life, it should be enjoyed, posting sadness, wanting others to feel sorry for you.
Geeze, it's Christmas, if you're home sick get back to where you come from and be miserable.
Relocating to Thailand is not for everyone.Lol sorry but you do sound like a newbie to Thailand, I've been here 12 years, I am not meaning to offend but you come across as a little naive ....

There used to be a place for people like the OP.
It was called Thermaes.
Probably gone now or morphed into something nowhere near as good as the original.

Same as all the red lights, Pattaya included, that place is still waiting for a big rush of farangs... 2 years later... Nothing

Did you ever "think" bars are beers will be all you do for the rest of your life? Really?
Since my first Thailand holiday and since I live here I enjoyed bars and beers. But not only!
I don't think there is any one activity which is fun 24/7. Do a little bit of this and a little of that and enjoy life!
Yes I will goto chang Mai for a nice deetox instead of the self loathing red light area full of the artificial smiles and expensive drinks.

I feel better now I'm up in north Thailand , I like normal Thailand not red light Thailand, Red light Thailand is terrible for mental and physical health and swallows people hole and spits em out.
No more red light, no more drinking.

Anyone else bored of the bar scene and the beer drinking in Thailand? I feel deep emptiness and dissatisfaction.
Maybe Thailand is for people with sociopath tendencies, I feel no satasfaction here hanging around bars and drinking alcohol anymore.
I find it boring.

Is suggesting somebody is suffering from Delirium Tremens now considered politically incorrect?
Asking for a friend.
It always was, booze is on a back burner from me, going to detox in Chang Mai, no more booze. Ever .

They should just make decent beer like Europe does also the quality is lacking in all departments in Thailand as of late... Food is <deleted> too.... Overated if anything and it's too hot outside plus boring coz it's all locked down but the charge same prices as post CV....
Sorry but that's facts.

Get yourself tested for covid.
It sounds like you've been infected.

Why so many trolls on here, Are you declaring Thai beer is not capable of giving a hangover ? instead reassuring yourself that it's covid?? possible IQ check required IMHO on your behalf.

Maybe it was old stock from late 2019.
thai beer tastes "off" coming off the bottling line, can only imagine how rotten it must be if it sat around in temperature for a year or so?
Vintage?
Most probly it just that, ai thought it was perhaps tainted beer, then come to think of it it's likely expired stock post CV, just recovered from the hangover today. I think that's it for me on the beers , Not worth it IMHO.

Leo is probably the best of a dodgy lot, Leo recipe was created by a German Brewmaster.
I could barely walk from my hangover today, what are they brewing that with anyway? Rice and salt water? Omg never ever again....

When we went road tour I just looked at the infection numbers in places we would look to stay for the night or steer clear of.
Had our proof of injections on my mobile to show if required
Yeh travel is kinda confusing now, all the info online is outdated the minute it's posted, Thankful we got trusty old Thaivisa here because the info is passed from one person to another not the media.

Does that mean that no PCR test is required to fly to Chiang Rai?
Did u get any info on Chiang Rai danderman?? Any updates?

I checked tat and they have conveniently added Chang Rai to the red and blue "zones " with out a map to help travelers, I would like to know is there is an updated map to show tourists interested in domestic travel and simplify what is required to travel.
Ex. Does it require a antigen test to board the plane? If it is a blue zone to blue zone does it require a test?

Is flight a throw away or you actually intend to use it.
Good question with the new variant out it might well be a throwaway flight, Seems they were keen to make every single person applying for extensions to buy flights out.

Thanks for CW report.
So to be clear if your obtain embassy letter they also want the affidavit..
Seems strange since box 2 basically states same thing.
Not all embassies have provided letter previously.
I bought a flight out to obtain the visa, No idea about the affidavit.
Also there was CV antigen tests needed for entry 72 hours prior or a double jab cert for entry to CW , but it was not being enforced , Maybe soon it will so be prepared they are available from boots for 150 baht.

get over yourself, we all know the costs, we obsess over them, bemoan our loss of relative freedom, some died. Some suffered. we have all lost someone.
we know.
But who are you to denounce what one person sees as a positive out of the whole situation?
I personally enjoyed the last two years.
So thank you covid for marine life returning to the sludge pit that was Venice harbour.
Thank you covid for tourist destinations that have regenerated significantly in the last two years.
Thank you covid for reduced emissions from cars and airplanes.
Thank you covid for convincing me to start my own business that costs me less time and makes me more money.
Thank you.
don't be the little cloud, see the silver lining.
You are spreading false info , Lots of this online now........

I have suggested that to chap I refered to who was refused covid extension today.
Anyone using site such as "onward flight" can hopefully report their experience at CW for covid extension.
I also checked cheapest flight out in January.
Available flights to Phnom Penh.
1700baht.
Waiting on agents to update on options around this rubbish.
Just extended at CW so this is confirmed Info , flight out or letter from embassy required, as is TM30, and affidavit and other copy's of documents, I waited 5 hours to get my 60 day CV extension, They are making it a huge hassle by slowing down before lunch and making people wait hours and hours.
